    Global Graduate - Supply Chain Finance

    • The role is part of SC Johnson’s global Manufacturing Finance organization and closely collaborates with the Associate Manager, Operations Cost Accounting based in Rosslyn, South Africa. The candidate is responsible for P&L budgeting, forecasting of plant expenses and related absorption and capacity analysis. Perform thorough diagnostics and monitoring to assist Rosslyn site in determining where to apply resources, as well as identifying opportunities to eliminate all forms of waste. The role will have strong interfaces with the regional AMET Manufacturing leadership team based across multiple locations in the EMEA Region, the regional Costing team based in Italy, as well as the European headquarter based in Switzerland.
    • At the same time, the position will ensure continuity in financial reporting in strong collaboration with SC Johnson’s Shared Services Center based in the South Africa.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver Budgets and manage plant financial performance: Analyse monthly financial performance of the manufacturing site, with particular focus on volumes produced, conversion cost incurred, and cost savings delivered. Prepare monthly business commentaries. Provide timely, relevant, and actionable reporting of key performance measures.
    • Provide accurate P&L forecast projections (including absorption, functional expenses, material variances, and efficiency variances) linked to the S&OP process. Highlight risks & opportunities with regards to future plant performance.
    • Preparation of formalized Capital Investment proposals in the context of capacity expansion of the plant. Identify and quantify drivers of costs and benefits and perform Return-on-Investment (ROI) Analysis. Obtain sign-off by senior global leaders of the company. Ensure project execution is in line with approved investment proposals. Develop & improve capital project spending tracking systems.
    • Variance analysis and quantify the impact of improved equipment productivity (OEE). Influence the team to take decisions which will result in strong plant financial performance. Highlight and quantify financial opportunities (e.g. related to sub-optimal allocation of resources / sources of waste), prepare recommendations for improvement and drive to have these recommendations implemented.
    • Support the delivery against statutory reporting requirements. Be a champion for Internal Controls – Ensure best-in-class Internal Controls are in operation at the site. Drive to continuously improve the Internal Control environment, with a particular focus on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements. Implement process improvements based on recommendations made by Global Internal Audit.

    Global Graduate - Export Sales

    Overview:

    • The purpose of this role is to rotate within the marketing and sales department to gain enough experience to be absorbed within the company. In this position you will have hands on experience working within our sales team. You will have exposure to the following key areas; Business Analytics, Executing Promotional Strategy, Retailer NPD process and General Account Management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting Promotional Strategy both internally and externally from forecasting to retailer promotional forms.

    Sales Support Administrator

    Overview

    • Looking for a highly organized and detailed-orientated person to support the sales Key Accounts managers. The candidate should have exceptional administration skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and provide support in a fast paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    The position will require, but is not limited to the following activities:

    Sales Team support:

    • Loading of customer deals in the system
    • Maintaining the deals (i.e. sharing active deals with agents monthly)
    • Working with pricing team to ensure invoicing is accurate
    • Pulling data for Key Account Managers for business reviews
    • Populating and circulating customers sales reports monthly (SAP reports)
    • Maintaining pricing surveys and leading discussions in price meetings
    • Creating purchase requisitions and PO’s in SAP

    Sales Orders:

    • Maintaining access to the ordering system
    • Supporting sales agents with access to the system and trouble shooting

    Senior Associate, Tax

    Overview

    • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tax Senior Analyst to provide comprehensive tax assistance and support for managing the tax matters of key countries within the cluster i.e. Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa. Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing local tax compliance, identifying tax issues, managing transfer pricing, customs, international tax, and tax audits. Additionally, this role involves supporting various internal stakeholders, including the holding company, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, and other departments, to ensure seamless tax management across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Tax Compliance: Ensure all tax reporting obligations (income tax, VAT, withholding tax, PAYE, etc.) across the cluster are met, with timely preparation and submission of tax returns in compliance with deadlines set by local tax legislation or authorities.
    • Tax Audits: Support ongoing tax audits and disputes, as well as manage communication with local tax authorities.
    • Transfer Pricing Documentation: Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation for the African cluster, with support from external tax advisors.
    • Tax Planning: Provide advice on direct and indirect tax issues, international tax, transfer pricing, and foreign exchange matters, assessing risks and their impact on the local subsidiary's effective tax rate.
    • Legislative Updates: Monitor and analyze changes in country-specific tax legislation, regulations, and court decisions, and advise stakeholders on the implications for the business.
    • Tax Expense & U.S. GAAP Income Tax Accounting: Assist in calculating local subsidiaries' tax expenses and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP income tax reporting requirements.
    • Additional Responsibilities: Contribute to the budgeting process, manage country-by-country reporting, coordinate with head office on tax matters, provide tax training to internal teams, and address any other tax-related duties as assigned.

    Experience you’ll bring:

    • Education: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An advanced tax degree or professional tax qualification (e.g., honors, Masters, CA, CTA) is highly preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or a large multinational corporation.

    Skills:

    • Full proficiency in English.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Familiarity with SAP, BPC, and other productivity tools is an advantage.

    Brand Manager

    OVERVIEW:

    About the role: 

    • Reporting into the Customer Marketing Manager for Africa Cluster, you will play a local role in developing the Customer Marketing strategy for the assigned categories. You will be in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain Teams. You will do deep analyses of the market, customers, and shopper dynamics, will come up with insights to be converted into action plans across the channels.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead development of Category Development Strategy to achieve defined business objectives for category in charge by designing in-store strategy covering multiple pillars; i.e. BTL communication and in-store materials, price architecture, category assortment, planogram and consumer promotions
    • Lead market execution of new launches, define quarterly cycle priorities and cascade the plans on channel basis to the field team through meetings and quarterly distributor meetings
    • Lead cross-functional relations with key stakeholders; Marketing, Sales and Supply Chain Teams
    • Manage the budget in charge while overviewing Trade Money initiatives
    • Responsible for management of shopper/channel initiatives and investments for the category

    Required Experience and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field
    • Commercial FMCG background with at a solid practical experience
    • 3-4 years of experience with preferably 2 years in customer/trade marketing
    • Strong command of English (written and verbal)
    • Understanding and knowledge of the FMCG dynamics
    • Strong use of MS Office and Nielsen data
