    Slitter Assistant

    Job Summary

    • To carry out the production of packaging material on the Slitting Machine according to the production plan and quality control procedures

    What you will do

    • Follow production safety rules
    • Work according to existing procedures/standards. Continuously improve these procedures/standards as required
    • Ensure that production is carried out according to the production plan
    • Ensure that all quality parameters are continuously met and carry out all quality checks as required
    • Monitor and control finishing quality and ensure that defect waste is eliminated
    • Ensure that setups are performed efficiently with minimal waste
    • Identify and remove defects
    • Identify unmarked defects
    • Communicate any non-conformances to the Slitter Operator
    • Identify anomalies and raise tags
    • Remove tags by correcting anomalies
    • Participate in WCM teams
    • Create OPLs and SOPs

    Minimum Education

    • N6 Technical Diploma

    • To operate the RHS equipment to ensure that reels are correctly palletised on time in full to meet customers need

    Job Summary

    • To load and prepare printed rolls of paperboard to ensure that the Laminating Machine continues uninterrupted production according to the production plan

    Quality Control Shift Technician

    Job Summary

    • To perform incoming, process and final quality control in accordance to Quality Plan and defined Test Methods, in order to ensure compliance to the specification Conduct quality test methods

    What you will do

    • Conduct all process test methods on regular basis
    • Collect necessary statistical data
    • Measure samples
    • Handle and work according to process specifications
    • Conduct defected material traceability thought P2
    • Define problems and report all issues with material to management/senior quality technician for analysis and further actions

    We believe you have

    • Diploma or technical education in Quality/ Food Safety/ Statistical/ Chemical function;

    • Good knowledge of existing Specifications Basic knowledge of P2 Quality lab. equipment and tools (devices) usage Defect material traceability
    • Basic knowledge of WCM (or any continuous improvement concept/ SPC/ Siz Sigma)

    Minimum Education

    • Diploma or Equivalent technical education with Quality Background or a diploma or equivalent in engineering

    • Efficiently performs routine quality checks as per established procedures 
    • Maintain and enforce discipline around quality standards and parameters 
    • Report all identified deviations in production and follows compliance to safety rules - 5S in all QA areas

    Quality Engineer

    Job Summary

    • We are currently seeking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining Quality System/ data and provide analysis for improving quality of production. 
    • The position is in Pinetown, South Africa

    What you will do

    As a Quality Engineer you will take responsibility of the following areas:

    Product Quality Test:

    • Understand all the test methods for quality test, can perform all the test well.

    Customer Claim handling:

    • Act as the owner of the KPI/KAI indicator customer related issues (IRP cocktail, no. of approved issues, critical issues prevention, PM claim and handling lead time.)
    • Take responsibility for customer issue handling related system document maintenance

    Participate WCM and focus on total waste team/actions OTIF:

    • Manage PM master data maintenance and accuracy

    Driver for Base Material quality continuous improvement:

    • Be responsible for system maintenance of base material related documents
    • Be responsible for working material (AM) quality management and related projects

    Quality system management:

    • Participate in the ISO9000/ISO14000/BRC system build up and maintenance, and in the implementation of Factory Process Control (including: SPC and Computer Data Acquisition System
    • Analyze the data on time and come up with improvement suggestion

    We believe you have

    • At least 3 years QA or related work experience in either Production/ Maintenance/ WCM. 
    • Post Graduate Engineering Degree in advanced science or Statistical Methods or equivalent
    • Knowledge ISO9001/ ISO14001/ BRC/ ISO22000/ OHSAS18001 system would be advantages
    • Experience with either of the following: SPC, TQM, TPM or WCM
