    Supply Chain Management: Contract Manager

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Contract Manager will be primarily responsible for managing all contracts being negotiated and entered into by the company. The incumbent needs to be knowledgeable about the details and potential benefits of any contract. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Must be able to draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute a wide variety of technology commercial contracts covering a range of transactions.
    • Drafting of Legal precedents which includes but is not limited to, Addendums, Legal Notices, Memorandum of Understanding, Master Procurement Agreements, Data Protection Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements.
    • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.
    • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
    • Must have category Management experience, In areas such as Software, hardware, Managed Services, Network, Direct Expenditure across all categories.
    • Manages local & regional relationships with key category suppliers and where required leads local & regional relationships across categories.
    • The above responsibilities will include the following areas under VB: Enterprise Business (All LOB’s), Vodacom Subsidiaries (i.e. Nexio, IOT.nxt, XLink, Mezanine, Afrigis etc.), and Bid office.
    • Budget holders, supplier and third parties: Leads negotiation and conclude contracts with suppliers on local agreements working with/without Legal and internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met.
    • Leadership and teamwork: Responsible for ensuring budget holders requirements are defined and reflected in the Category Strategy and related contracts.
    • Innovation and change: Provides input into defining innovative local category strategies.
    • Drive digitisation in SCM Enterprise Business. 

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3 Year relevant degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management / Bachelor of Laws Degree or Bcom Law.
    • Commercial contract management knowledge.
    • Commercial and Contract law experience.
    • Experience in the Telecoms or IT industry.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Demonstrable commercial, negotiation and commercial legal skills without supervision.
    • Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with Exco members.
    • Procurement, Negotiation, Financial Management.
    • Supplier performance management.
    • Quick delivery and lead to deliver professional accurate contracts and or RFXX outputs.

    Senior Specialist: Compliance Assurance

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To support the Group Compliance Assurance & Reviews function by assessing whether Vodacom Group and its subsidiaries comply with applicable laws, regulations, licence obligations, rules, policies, codes and standards, and by providing assurance that appropriate controls, systems and processes are in place to manage risks and meet relevant requirements.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Conducting assurance reviews efficiently and effectively in accordance with approved assurance plan to identify and report on significant compliance control weaknesses within the Group and its subsidiaries. This includes assurance review planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
    • Identifying good business practice across, Vodacom, its subsidiaries, and International African Companies.
    • Identifying, recommending, and implementing operational improvements to the compliance assurance review processes.
    • Clearing assurance review findings and closing out of assurance review actions with all levels of management in the organization.
    • Identify and assess controls to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies and licensing obligations.
    • Able to use data analytics and artificial intelligence tools when conducting assurance reviews.
    • Monthly and quarterly operational reporting.
    • Preparation of reports to various audit, risk, and compliance committees.
    • Stay up to date with developments in the legal and regulatory and governance environment and keep abreast of new policies and legislation as well as changes to existing legislation.
    • Providing support in compiling and documenting a compliance assurance & reviews plan for approval.
    • To undertake special projects as required.
    • Limited travelling into Africa.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Relevant compliance, audit, accounting, risk qualification required (NQF 7 equivalent) (Essential).
    • Higher relevant specialist qualifications in e.g. data analytics or AI will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 5 years compliance assurance monitoring /auditing experience with focus on financial services, fintech, and telecommunications.
    • Experience working with data analytics, automated controls, or continuous monitoring solutions in a regulated environment.
    • Telecommunication, financial services, and fintech experience.
    • Exposure to the COSO Framework will be advantageous.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Compliance assurance monitoring/auditing with focus on financial services, fintech and telecommunications laws.
    • Strong experience in compliance assurance, auditing, internal control and business processes controls, with practical exposure to data analytics.
    • General knowledge of the South African and International African Companies Legislative System.
    • General governance knowledge and King V Code of Corporate Governance.
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Compliance experience with focus on financial services, fintech and telecommunications.
    • A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long-term risks and implications.

    Senior Specialist: Margin Assurance

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Margin assurance is a highly focused area within the Telecommunications sector with the purpose of detecting and preventing any revenue leakages from reducing cost, increasing revenue and minimising loss through the effective use of controls and various technologies.
    • An experienced MA Senior Specialist with strong financial and technical skills, preferably from the Telecoms or Banking industry, will be responsible for implementing the end-to-end Margin (Revenue) Assurance controls for Vodacom.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To provide independent and comprehensive monthly reports, KPI dashboards and documentation.
    • Investigate, analyse, validate, and quantify all revenue/ cost incidents identified.
    • Identify gaps/shortcomings in the MA process and develop/recommend strategies to address the gaps/shortcomings
    • Ensure that Margin assurance standards, SOX, Internal Audit, MA policies and procedures have been adhered to.
    • Leverage of the Vodafone expertise to identify areas of concern, information sharing and adopt best practices.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Science, Telecoms, Engineering, Financial Services.
    • Minimum 5 -7 years of experience in a Margin/Revenue Assurance environment, with a strong background in building assurance analytics through complex queries and reports in a telecoms/financial services environment.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Excellent data mining skills.
    • Excellent data analysis skills.
    • Assurance background within telecoms or financial services.
    • 2-5 years’ experience using programming languages (i.e. SQL, Python etc..) and other analytical tools.
    • Working knowledge of key telecoms source and mediation systems, including CRM, CCSC, ICAP, Siebel and Mediation Zone, with the ability to understand data flows, extract relevant information and support assurance analytics.

    Business Development Manager

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Business Development Manager, Vodacom Business Africa (VBA) role is based within the Sales function of VBA.
    • The role of the Business Development Manager is to strategically position VBA as a preferred and dominant wholesale fixed provider in the Africa.
    • Your responsibilities will include: Develop growth strategies and plans to attract new customers / partners, negotiate with internal stakeholders and external partners and follow industry trends locally and internationally.
    • Furthermore, these will include; reporting on successes and areas needing improvements, leveraging relationship with product management to jointly define and drive ‘focus propositions’ to pro-actively develop incremental business opportunity.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Perform the role of a “hunter” to onboard new customer across the African continent, whilst retaining/managing and growing an existing customer base.
    • Responsible for direct and indirect sales plan and its delivery against set targets, in the defined customer base/allocated industry vertical. 
    • Professionally present Vodafone/Vodacom solutions, negotiate and contract deals.
    • Input into annual business planning and monthly/quarterly reviews.
    • Align with Regional, Global and National Account Managers in the region to develop, drive and execute sales into accounts managed.
    • Develop and execute a business development strategy to increase sales within the IOT/Microsoft/Cloud suite of products in the defined customer base/allocated industry vertical.
    • Leverage relationships with product management to jointly define and drive ‘focus propositions’ to pro-actively develop incremental business opportunity.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric essential.
    • Diploma/ BCom / BSc degree or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 5 years ICT experience in fixed business solutions.
    • Extensive history of successful Business-to-Business Sales in large, complex sales environment e.g. MICROSOFT / B2B telecoms/IT.
    • Experience on the Microsoft Office package i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point is essential.
    • Any experience on VAS Messaging platforms (Voicemail, SMS, MMS) will be beneficial.
    • GSM experience will serve as a major advantage.

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Extensive history of successful sales in the ICT B2B industry.
    • Needs to have good strategic skills & tactical execution skills, since structuring and establishing the local, regional and international market is a large part of the role.
    • Understanding of the IOT/Microsoft/Cloud/ value chain, impact on business models & where these product offerings can be used as a transformational tool within the verticals.
    • Ability to engage at CXX level.
    • Be able to translate ICT principles, references and jargon to customer business value.
    • Deep understanding of the allocated industry vertical(s) business drivers and challenges, and the industry value chains.
