    Business Insights Manager and Launch Excellence Lead - SA

    What you’ll do?

    The Business Insights Manager and Launch excellence lead will Plan, direct, and oversee a wide range of analyses, related to the current and future business of the company. Often works with both internal and external stakeholders to perform complex analyses. Proactively interacts with senior commercial leaders to ensure plans are updated. Involved in medium and long-range initiatives including Launch Excellence.

    Some areas of focus for this role will include:

    • Proactively identify business information needs/issues.
    • Provide brand/market evaluation and interpretation and provide business insights and competitive / market intelligence in aiding strategy decisions by using internal and external datasets.
    • Leads the Operational Planning Process, providing analytical expertise to the commercial teams, driving strategic and operational excellence.
    • Prepares outputs of the process and participates in presentations and recommendations to leadership through data interpretation, visualization, and insight generation to support business-critical decisions.
    • Leads the portfolio prioritization process within the brand team and in support of the TA.
    • Coordinates launch excellence processes for new products/indications, by collaborating with launch leads and cross-functional squads, ensuring strong governance, pre- and post-launch for best-in-class launches.
    • Leads patient flow modelling, patient analytics and forecasting models to support in-market cases / new product launch viability assessments.
    • Partner with the commercial team, producing brand volume forecasts, and consulting with the team to manage risks and opportunities for the business, leading to objective and accurate forecasts supported by insight & analytics.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Completed Bachelor’s degree (Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics Specialization advantageous)
    • 4+ Years Pharmaceutical marketing and/or sales experience essential
    • 5+ years' experience in Business Intelligence environment or experience in analytics/data science/insights/strategy will be advantageous
    • Thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical business (including commercial and development) as well as product life cycle management.
    • Knowledge of strategic planning processes and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Power BI, QlikView and others.

    Medical Sales Rep, CVRM - South Vaal

    What you’ll do:

    As this territory is a key contributor to the overall ambition, you will be carrying the many uncontrolled patients in your immediate territory and this responsibility demands of you to know your products, the disease area & the unmet needs of the HCP that they aim to attain for their patients. Your skillful ability to create awareness of the patient and the need (should it not be known to the treating HCP), to position our product optimally to meet the requirement, AND to know you have made the difference to the patient and the HCP. To meet and exceed your sales targets and non-sales KPI which include daily F2F calls, digital customer interactions and campaigns, ensure up-to-date customer lists, to conduct properly targeted meetings for the appropriate customer, to successfully implement the sales and marketing strategies and to meet all other required monthly expectations as set out and agreed with line manager. We are looking for an MSR that will rise to the challenges, exceed expectations, and contribute towards elevating the team’s contribution to the next level.

    Some areas of focus & Typical Accountabilities for this role will include:

    • Engage primary care healthcare professionals in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
    • Work with Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet or exceed sales and call execution goals in territory.
    • Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.

    • Analyzing all the local data e.g. Sales data from provincial pharmaceutical depots, and call report system data, on receipt of that individual data.

    • Develop territory Business Plan based on POA and allocate resources (e.g. call activities, budget), for optimal

    Procurement Manager

    What you’ll do?

    Here you will be leading the procurement team supporting SA and SSA markets. You will drive Procurement Strategy, oversee Supply/Procurement activities and be responsible for supplier relationship management. You will handle complex management issues and provide guidance/coaching to more junior staff on sourcing and other business-related issues. You will be the first contact person for the business in all regards related to Procurement driven activities. As part of your role, you ensure all sourcing arrangements are successful and aligned to the company and Middle East and Africa Area strategy, and manage supplier relationships at a strategic level while bringing all the possible benefits to business.

    Typical Accountabilities will include:

    • Handles complex management issues and provides guidance to more junior staff on sourcing-related issues. Ensures all sourcing arrangements are successful and aligned to company and area strategy and manages supplier relationships at a strategic level. Otherwise, may be responsible for strategic planning, relationship management and reviews of existing supplier arrangements for an entire spend category for a region or all of AstraZeneca.
    • Acts as lead for a significant functional area within procurement or manages a group of smaller functions.

    • KPI’s include but not limited to savings, extended payment terms, vendor optimization, governance & compliance activities.
    • Must be able to engage and manage Suppliers and Stakeholder relationships.
    • Able to extrapolate required spend reports from SAP to support business requests e.g. BBBEE spend.
    • Analyzing market trends and supplier landscape
    • Providing insights and recommendations to senior management and suppliers
    • Spotting and exploiting emerging trends and technologies.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

    • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Commerce – Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management
    • Post Grad Degree will be advantageous
    • Degree plus 5 years’ experience in procurement including 4 of which must be in an operational environment within the pharmaceutical, Medical, Retail, and/or FMCG industry.
    • 2 years of Project management, change management and people management skills
    • Knowledge of PPPFA and BBBEE.
    • Significant experience in a similar environment at a management level
    • Sound understanding of Safety, Health and Environment
    • Ensure team compliance with the code of ethics.

    Distribution Specialist, Sub-Sahara Africa

    Typical Accountabilities

    • Responsible for seamless distribution operations to deliver customer service levels with right quality, quantity, and cost targets in the South Africa market.
    • Delivers policies, best practices, development plans, budgets and business continuity plans to enable distribution activities. Develops and manages relationship with Freight Forwarders (FFs), Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and Third Party Logistics Service Providers (3PLs) at a local level.
    • Owns delivery to market distributors or AZ-managed distribution centre, undertakes process and resource planning, communicates objectives and monitors performance to ensure delivery against agreed targets
    • Undertakes management reporting via both Information Systems and paper-based systems
    • Monitors and maintains compliance to current Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, Health and Environment and Sarbanes Oxley business procedures, raising and addressing problems as they arise
    • Follows AstraZeneca’s financial policies, manages people resources to policy requirement and delivers budgets
    • Optimizes performance outcomes of direct reports and ensures individuals understand the contribution they make
    • Communicates business plan to team and acts as highest escalation point within the distribution centre to resolve any issues to delivery
    • Promotes continuous improvement, identifying and delivering performance improvements

    Operational:

    • Create and monitor stock coverage list
    • Assure sufficient supply availability (Inbound and Outbound) in close collaboration with supply site, the Logistics Service Provider, Operations Demand Management team and Commercial.
    • Manage day to day activities (Complaints, Returns, Expediting) with all relevant stakeholders.
    • Proactive issue resolution and support of ad hoc queries
    • Proactive support of NPI`s and Projects
    • Assure timely reporting according to global/regional requirements
    • Share Good Practice and proactive support LEAN initiatives

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Ensure SLA`s and RACI`s with relevant stakeholders are in place.
    • Monitors key performance indicators, identifying and addressing issues as appropriate and directing the delivery of process and operational enhancements to increase effectiveness of the logistic provision.
    • Communicate with Commercial on risks posed to on-time shipping of orders.

    Compliance:

    • Ensures that all operations in Country of responsibility is compliant with all relevant local legal requirements, such as GDP, Safety, personal rights)
    • Ensures that all operations in Country of responsibility is compliant and fulfil all relevant AZ compliance requirements (SOX, LCF, DoA, SHE, BCP, IRM, RRA, GDP, IT, Cyber Security)

    Senior Market Access Manager Rare Diseases

    What you’ll do?
