    Trade Compliance Excellence Analyst - Pietermaritzburg

    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Trade Compliance Excellence Analyst will ensure compliance of moderate to complex cross border trade activities using substantial trade compliance knowledge. In this role, you will ensure compliance for country and foreign government regulations related to the international movement of goods and execute the controls established by the appropriate functional areas.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Execute and monitor operational controls for continuous improvement to align with risk control framework and the center of expertise to ensure compliance.
    • Manage key data and requirements on new or changing trade flows to ensure compliance with licenses and special authorizations.
    • Resolve trade compliance issues with government agencies in cooperation with customs brokers, the global customs advisory team and other functional areas to facilitate effective cross-border flow of goods.
    • Develop, implement and maintain all export and import compliance plans, standard operating procedures and other related documentation in response to changing government regulations.
    • Conduct trade compliance trainings and pre- and post-transactional trade data and documentation reviews for activities managed by the team to ensure compliance, data integrity, adherance to processes and control effectiveness.
    • Escalate and resolve issues related to cross-border compliance and regulatory agencies.
    • Parter with businesses and other cross-functional teams to identify and resolve compliance operations issues.
    • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum of two years of related work experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Customs Broker License or equivalent strongly preferred.
    • Experience managing SAP and global trade services.
    • Knowledge of foreign languages will be an advantage.

    Job Purpose and Impact

    This position is part of a dynamic, high-growth team that is focused on providing solutions to customer base in the South Africa market across different market categories. This position will be responsible for building the market position by locating, developing, defining and achieving growth goals. The Sales Manager will develop ways to increase sales and revenue from new and existing market segments and channels. In this role, you will develop and implement business plans, build and nurture relationships with various procurement and research and development stakeholders and participate in activities of marketing, sales to reach objectives and revenue goals.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Translate customer needs into business strategy to capture commercial sales.
    • Recognize and pursue new market segments and opportunities for business development, calculating return and investment.
    • Monitor market development activities to align with company business goals and ensures that sourcing, sales and marketing strategies and tactics utilized by the business are effectively aligned with regional marketplace practices.
    • Prioritize market segment development activities and set revenue targets.
    • Execute sourcing and sales transactions through the portfolio pipeline by negotiating contracts, handle pricing orders from sellers and buyers, follow up on shipment, handle shipping documents and confirming payment.
    • Lead generation and develop substantive sales opportunities
    • Assess customer needs and provide solutions. Maintain close and good relationship with key accounts and expand portfolio.
    • Develop and deliver proposals, presentations and sales bids to customers.
    • Prepare strategies to grow, protect and diversify business with targeted customers.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Food, Food Technology or related field.
    • 6+ years of work experience preferably in sales/ technical sales.
    • Advance level of English.
    • Customer focused with a high level of urgency and a proven ability to successfully resolve service and performance issues.
    • Ability to build long-term, sustainable business-to-business relationships within organizations (both internally and externally)
    • Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasive skills
    • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills

    Supply Chain Services Representative

    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Supply Chain Services Representative is responsible to coordinate and execute administrative activities for a subset of suppliers, customers and flows, focusing on activities related to contract execution, planning and customer service. In this role, you will partner closely with local customer service representatives, high seas teams, supply chain planners and transport and logistics team members.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Enter and complete all entries of commodity movements data in the system. Monitor and handle of all commodity contract application, review and follow up daily on the failed as well as the provisional applications.
    • Reconcile inventory with all plants and third party warehouses daily movements data and start/end stock confirmation, identify, escalate, investigate and resolve stock differences.
    • Declare monthly stocks to insurance in line with corporate and business group policy and procedures.
    • Settle all shipped and applied commodity contracts. Issue and dispatch of commodity sales invoices to customers, validate incoming purchase commodity invoices and the timely follow up on all exceptions raised by finance.
    • Review and validate incoming service invoices against relevant accruals/purchase order. Review and enter services accruals and monitors, analyze and report on expenses deviation with the local stakeholders.
    • Act as primary contact for supply chain management systems and tools used within their area. Bring together data and run regular reports in support of supply chain business processes.
    • Participate in local continuous improvement in contract execution process area and provide recommendations, ideas and plans to local and functional management. Provide data for local scorecard and related critical metrics for the local business and team.
    • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
    • Build customer relationships.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

    Good communication skills.

    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

    Relevant work experience in supply chain.

    Fluent in English and in local language.

    Experience working with SAP

    Preferred Qualifications

    • International trade/shipping experience.
