    RTR Senior Controller

    Role Context

    • Support to develop and administer processes and activities for financial planning, analysis and management in line with business objectives, Group standards, accounting principles and regulations. To provide finance management and other business stakeholders with accurate and insightful data and analysis on a monthly and ad-hoc basis for business reviews and decision making. To co-ordinate and direct all controlling activities and initiatives. To coordinate and ensure excellence with Control & Risk International Standardization Platform & Internal audits..

    Key responsibilities

    •   On a monthly basis ensure an accurate and complete CREST package is delivered according to global reporting deadlines. Provide supporting notes for CREST package
    •   Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, performance related reporting and relevant financial information to management
    •   Manage the month-end accrual process to ensure appropriate accruals are built for contractual and ad-hoc expenses
    •   Assist the finance manager with producing an accurate WD3 EBIT flash on a monthly basis.
    •   Commercial controlling – provide management with in-depth revenue analysis and drivers.
    •   Free cash flow controlling – analyse Balance sheet entries to cash flow and provide input to Regional office as required.
    •   Prepare monthly PL and Cash flow forecasting and analysis.
    •   Perform/review SAP VS Crest monthly recons - Including indirect and direct cost allocation.
    •   Assist in the overall annual budgeting exercise as needed and prepare/review balance sheet recons.
    •   Assist with the month-end process to ensure all month-end close activities are completed within the prescribed deadlines e.g. Accruals and investigations/analysis.
    •   Consolidation data from stakeholders for analysis and ensure timely and accurate Intercompany reporting and follow up process followed including payment
    •   Review and analyse changes provided by monthly Crest Memo, drive and implement the changes
    •   Commercial controlling – provide management with in-depth revenue analysis and drivers
    •   Free cash flow controlling – analyse Balance sheet entries to cash flow and provide input to Regional office as required.
    •   Prepare monthly PL and Cash flow forecasting and analysis.
    •   Assist with the month-end process to ensure all month-end close activities are completed within the prescribed deadlines e.g. Accruals and investigations/analysis
    •   To ensure internal financial accounting control policies and procedures (CRISP controlling controls) are executed timely and accurately and that all relevant backups are saved in the appropriate folders.
    •   To ensure all documentation is up to date and reviewed periodically: SOPs, job aids, process flows, contingency plans and Period-end timetable.
    •   To drive continuous improvement initiatives in the financial accounting processes based on First Choice and LEAN methodology and principles. Identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
    •   To support the audit process (internal and external) in the most efficient way to follow up on previous audit findings, to implement actions plans to close audit remarks
    •   To review internal accounting processes and controls in order to identify weaknesses and make recommendations for improvements immediately.
    •   Review bassware invoices processed in SAP to ensure correct cost centre allocation and GL as per DAD.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education & experience

    • 6 months contract (Maternity reliever)
    • Matric or equivalent.
    •  Diploma or degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent
    •  5 year of working experience (post articles) in the management accountants field
    •  +- 2years in Logistic or Call centre environment
    •  Working knowledge of IFRS
    •  Extensive working experience with Oracle/SAP/SUN/Large ERP’s applications and data extraction tools like Oracle Discoverer is an asset and essential.
    •  Fluent in written and spoken English.

    RTR Senior Accountant

    Role Context

    • Deliver on all Record to Report activities in accordance with Accounting principles and Corporate policies/Global Operating Model. Key focus is on compliance. To build and maintain relationships with the respective stakeholders, finance manager and CFO.

    Key responsibilities

    •  Address finance related payroll accounting related queries
    •  Prepare monthly VAT reconciliation.
    •  Perform month to month analysis on input and output VAT and investigate inconsistencies.
    •  Prepare monthly income tax calculation for review by management.
    •  Prepare deferred tax calculation on a quarterly basis for review by management.
    •  Perform tax submissions on e-filing.
    •  Submit all income tax related returns and payments as per deadlines.
    •  For any tax audit or queries - collect and coordinate all submissions of all information requested.
    •  Coordinate action to ensure tax compliance.
    •  Reconcile Leap to SAP and ensure alignment to IFRS 16.
    •  Complete monthly journals.
    •  Amend any lease information on LEAP in accordance with the lease contract and ensure alignment to IFRS 16.
    •  Liaise with facilities teams to ensure all latest lease information is on hand
    •  Coordinate CRISP submissions to ensure timeous submission.
    •  Support/train/guide control owners where needed.
    •  Gather evidence for CRISP submission where process owner.
    •  Address deficient controls with relevant control owners.
    •  Update controls including LCD, applicability, control owners, remediation plan.
    •  Follow up and close open items on CRISP timeously.
    •  Understand and plan for internal audits with relevant stakeholders.
    •  Coordinate and drive closure of all internal audit findings.
    •  Collect and coordinate submissions of all external audit information requests from auditors
    •  Ensure previous year audit findings are addressed (implemented corrective action).
    •  Provide support during the audit process (internal and external) in the most efficient way.
    •  Provide support with AFS preparation.
    •  Identify gaps on IFRS compliance and drive corrective actions
    •  Analyse process delays / performance failures, identify root causes and define & monitor corrective actions.
    •  Drive implementation of systems/tools to automate and improve resource utilization, efficiency, controls and compliance.
    •  Continuously improve financial processes while reducing risk to the business – driving continuous improvement
    •  Ensure previous year audit findings are addressed (implemented corrective action).
    •  Provide support during the audit process (internal and external) in the most efficient way.
    •  Provide support with AFS preparation.
    •  Identify gaps on IFRS compliance and drive corrective actions
    •  Analyse process delays / performance failures, identify root causes and define & monitor corrective actions.
    •  Drive implementation of systems/tools to automate and improve resource utilization, efficiency, controls and compliance.
    •  Continuously improve financial processes while reducing risk to the business – driving continuous improvement
    •  Identify areas of risk and issues. Escalate to appropriate channel when necessary to avoid delays and ensure issues are resolved.
    •  Ensure timely responses to internal and external customers.
    •  Identify process delays / performance failures, identify root causes and work with supervisor to define corrective actions. Monitor implementation from start to end to ensure resolution.
    •  Provide support with implementation of systems/tools to automate and improve resource utilization, efficiency, controls and compliance.
