    Converting Learner - Enstra

    About the position

    • The converting Learner will work closely with experienced process teams to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in various aspects of converting operations.  Participate in on-the-job training programs to learn about converting processes, equipment, and procedures. Learn and adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Follow instructions and guidelines provided by supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Assist in the assembly, production, and packaging of products according to specifications. Learn to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.

    Wadding Day Shift Driver - Enstra

    About the position

    • ​Ensure that all Wadding received is stored well, ensure that wadding before issued is neatly dressed and no quality defects. Conduct daily Counts to ensure that the Wadding in the Wadding Store is aligned to SAP. Collecting and issuing of wadding using either clamp or prong truck. 
    • Process all issued wadding rolls on SAP and verify with scale log sheet and MES. Ensure all NCRs wadding rolls are removed from Converting floor after all the document has been received.

    About you 

    What are we looking for:

    • Grade 12 with a minimum of one year’s experience in wadding stores,
    • Wadding collection and issuing using either prong truck or clamp truck
    • Stacking of wadding using 7 tons clamp experience
    • One-year valid license of clamp and prong trucks

    Shift Mechanical Technician - Enstra

    Main Responsibilities 

    Safety:

    • Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations at all times. (e.g.10 critical safety rules and three obligations)
    • Ensure safety job cards are completed in a timely manner.
    • Daily plant safety assessments
    • Completion of task risk assessments prior to performing any work.

    Quality:

    • Report and correct defective equipment
    • Carry out daily checks and completion of check-sheets
    • Ensure no reworks or repeat failures
    • Exhibit good fault finding skills –standard approach e.g. 4SPS
    • Ensure all job cards are completed and inputted timeously.
    • Ensure full SAP utilization.

    Housekeeping:

    • Maintain world class levels of housekeeping according to the 5’s housekeeping standards
    • Productivity:
    • Repairs, replacements, adjustments, installations, removals and overhauls, etc. on all forms of mechanical equipment and related equipment.
    • Maintains a wide range of mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, rolls, bearings, belts, chains, etc.
    • Ensures adequate quality assurance and quality control on all work.
    • Non-conformance reporting.
    • Works with Team Leaders and Engineers to resolve reliability issues.
    • Provides support to planned maintenance shuts and machine start-ups/shut-downs.
    • Plant shut-down input and planning
    • Ensures critical equipment spare parts are checked and available
    • Support operating teams to achieve set KPI’s

    • Minimum of at least 4 years post trade test experience in a Manufacturing or FMCG environment.
    • Knowledge of pulp & paper will be an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, gearboxes, mechanical rollers, belt drives, chain drives and general knowledge of mechanical systems associated with manufacturing environments.
    • Technical and Process knowledge of the Pulp & Paper environment.
    • An incumbent that can work standby on a rotational basis
    • An incumbent with a Mill wide mechanical engineering fault find skills.

    Logistics Coordinator - Finished Goods - Enstra

    Key Responsibilities:

    Safety:

    • Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) regulations to promote a safe working environment.
    • Maintain compliance with critical safety rules and obligations at all times.

    Quality:

    • Conduct testing and verifications to identify product quality defects and ensure adherence to set standards.
    • Monitor operator controls to ensure effective functioning and address any issues promptly.

    Housekeeping:

    • Maintain world-class levels of housekeeping according to the 5S standards to uphold cleanliness and organization in the work area.

    Operational:

    • Ensure efficient processing of all conveyed Finished Goods without disruption to production assets.
    • Provide support to operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
    • Assist palletising staff as needed to ensure optimal performance.

    Technical:

    • Support the Engineering team in conducting maintenance and addressing breakdowns on equipment, including electrical and mechanical issues.
    • Assist in maintaining all equipment to ensure optimal condition and performance.

    About You:

    • To excel in this role, you should have a Diploma or N4 & above in Supply Chain, Logistics, Electrical, or Mechanical fields, along with five years of technical experience in high-speed processing/packaging equipment. You must possess strong technical skills, including troubleshooting abilities, and be able to maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping standards. Additionally, you should be results-oriented, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Computer literacy, good communication skills, and a commitment to excellence are essential attributes for success in this role.
