Your Role & Responsibilities

• Management, leadership and development of process engineering team.
• Establish the need, and steer activities to drive process innovation and technology advancement in engine cooling production.  Ensure plant processes are always capable of meeting customer and business needs.  Develop CAPEX budgets based on capacity loading, development project and series optimization requirements. Implement capex projects.
• Support process concept development for acquisition projects in accordance with customer requirements, including equipment identification and selection, tooling and equipment costs, timing for process development and process risk assessments.
• Owner of the process development element of new product and process development projects. Design and implement production processes according to MAHLE and customer standards from concept development until PPAP and handover to production.
• Proactive problem-solving support of recurring technical production issues and customer complaints.
• Driver of continuous improvement of production processes

Qualifications

• National Diploma Engineering + 9yrs experience OR
• BTech Engineering + 8yrs experience OR
• BEng / BSc. Engineering + 6yrs experience

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Ensure consistency of application of the Suggestion Program policy- All procedures and reward system at Site Durban
• Coordinate evaluations by the Central Committee of all large cost savings.
• Make contact with other appropriate organisations to compare and obtain fresh ideas from their SP policies and procedures. 
• Facilitate marketing ideas & Encourage on-going participation and interest in the Suggestion Program
• Assist with SP training of new employees/Managers during induction  
• Prepare monthly/annual reports/graphs showing BZA overview of the SP
• Communicate stats and facilitate idea generation workshops to all tiers of the organozation
• Support and advise the plant suggestion program coordinators and managers

      Your Skills & Strengths

• Have above average numeracy skills
• Have an above average  level of computer literacy skills, particularly Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• Proven administrative and organizational experience
