    IM Cost Controller - Sandton

    Purpose of Job

    • Provide a comprehensive cost control service to the whole IM department. Support the Cost Control Specialist to act as a central point of accountability for control on operational and capital cost. Provide a high-quality cost control support on all IM operational expenditures. Support monthly reporting of actual cost performance versus budget or forecast. Ensure that proper supply chain governance is adhered to in all requests.
    • Maintain high standard of cost reporting by ensuring that costs are properly booked against correct cost elements. Ensure that dates on all opened purchase orders are updated to align to service delivery.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Create all types of purchasing requisitions (PRs) making use of correct cost codes and cost elements, ensure they are being released in time
    • Communicate overdue commitment report with service providers and relevant platform owners, liaise with supply chain to either extend delivery dates or close off purchase orders
    • Follow up with service providers to ensure invoices are received and posted in time
    • Extract created service entries and follow up with platform owners to timeously act on them
    • Compile cost incurred on behalf of other OMEs to ensure finance recover all before close of period every month

    Process Engineer II (Secunda)

    Purpose of Job
    Execute or lead projects, including the development of process flowsheets, use and/or development of process models and simulations, and support in the troubleshooting of operating units.

    Interface directly with Sasol OMEs to effectively scope, plan, execute and implement research projects/studies.

    Snr Engineer: Mechanical

    Purpose of Job

    The Senior Mechanical engineer is responsible for the oversight of the basic engineering work on the Alexanderproject, leading up to the execution of the project. The Senior Mechanical engineer will take responsibility for the oversight of the design and constructionmanagement of mechanical and coal handling infrastructure for the Alexander open cast mine project.     Officer Procure-to-Pay Management

    Purpose of Job

    • To support the enablement and facilitation of purchasing and accounting operations and communications and conduct clerical tasks in order to support accurate and timeous reporting activities.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Support the processing of supplier invoices received. 
    • Invoices matching processed within agreed time. 
    • Invoice processing cycle times with no items in VIM que older than 2 days. 
    • Sundry or Non-PO invoices processed according to policy if identified in VIM and redirected accordingly. 
    • Foreign invoices comply with Treasury regulations and redirected accordingly to foreign payment team. 
    • Indirect tax compliance in terms of tax invoice and Indirect (VAT) tax registration numbers. 
    • Support matching process and ensure information flow from scanning function to affected business units. 
    • Oversee and monitor accurate recording and archiving of all matched documents. 
    • Ensure relevant stakeholders have copies of documents which were matched outside the system due to some manual intervention. 
    • Communicate any scanning deficiencies to the Senior Principle in order to communicate and rectify with scanning team members. 
    • Support when required with the reconciliation of statements received from suppliers 
    • Matching invoices to ensure that vendor reconciliations completed within agreed time. 
    • Ensure that matching of invoices is of such quality to reduce reconciling of unmatched items. 
    • Support the implementation of the matching the invoice to purchase order process, validating an invoice, resolving invoice holds, and cancelling an invoice. 
    • Log all queries relating to matching of invoices on the appropriate system in order to reduce outstanding payments and to ensure rectifying of process issues in the scanning department. 
    • Suppliers queries resolved or escalated for action when identified during the matching process 
    • Achieving matching goals on a daily basis and ensure that targets are met. 
    • Provide support and coordination to the internal team to achieve their required output. 
    • Report on internal/ external stakeholder feedback. 
    • Ensure that high quality matching process is executed and fully embedded in personal goal targets 
    • Ensure adherence to SHE standards. 
    • Comply to Sasol safety process and requirement. 
    • Ensure that regular safety inspections do not find safety contraventions.
