• The incumbent in this role is responsible for all environmental activities by ensuring compliance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring environmental legal compliance for all aspects and impacts of the operation.
• Implementing of Environmental Management Systems and proactive approach towards leading environmental practices.
• Planning and coordinating environmental projects together with management.
• Engaging and communicating with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Executing environmental management activities as regulated by relevant environmental legislation.
• Assisting the environmental team to deliver Complex targets and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

• Relevant Tertiary Qualification..

Minimum Experience

• 2 Years’ experience as an Environmental Officer.

• The incumbent in this role is responsible for ensuring the continuous planning, profitability and safe achievement of pre-planned metallurgical and production targets and deliverables; through R&D projects, process control and optimisation, troubleshooting, production monitoring and process auditing.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Conducting efficiency tests.
• Ensuring optimisation of processing equipment.
• Ensuring correct quality products as per requirements.
• Conducting regular plant audits.
• Managing projects from concept to execution.
• Identifying and implementing best practice initiatives.
• Developing and implementing of Process Monitoring systems.
• Providing metallurgical support in terms of quality control and yield optimisation.

About you:

To be considered for this role, you will meet the following minimum requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Metallurgical Engineering or Extractive Metallurgy.
• Advance Lump Ore Beneficiation Certificate.

Minimum Experience

• 3 Years’ experience in a Coal Processing Environment at C-Upper level or having completed or completed the Graduate Development Program.
• MS Office proficiency.
