    Feedback Advisor

    We have an exciting position for a Feedback Advisor. You will be responsible to provide support into the Integrated Improvement efforts of the Integrated Planning and Operating Model department in terms of trend and data analysis with recommendations as well as to facilitate the identification, implementation and embedding of AAOM initiatives in the business

In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Centurion, Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape. 

    Job Description:

    As a Feedback Advisor you will be responsible for the following: 

    • Facilitates the process of identification, prioritization and implementation of Sishen improvement projects, based on sound AAOM and BI principles.  

    • Conduct analysis required to support IPOM and Operational managers to make critical decisions about potential business benefits and tradeoffs for a range of initiatives.  

    • Assist with educating line in key Business Improvement concepts, particularly with respect to AAOM through coaching. 

    • Assist with developing training material customized for local circumstances yet utilizing concepts and material consistent with the Anglo-American Business Improvement and OM models.  

    • Provide AAOM process and Business Improvement advice to line to enable improvement projects/initiatives, including:  

    • Identifying areas of improvement through data analysis 

    • Setting up objectives and tracking KPI’s  

    • Assistance and guidance with data collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting and review 

    • Identification of potential actions in response to outcome of analysis 

    • Support the BEP process in terms of data analysis, trends, interpretation of data and reporting on findings. 

    • Provide any support required by the BI Specialists to support Sishen to deliver on its targets.  

    • The authority that this role holds are as follows:  

    • Guidance authority: Provides advice and guidance to the counterpart, based on data analysis;  

    • Facilitation authority: facilitates the identification and implementation of improvement projects in the business, using Business improvement methodology 

    This role is in the Integrated Planning & OM Department at Band 6 level reporting to the BI Specialist. 

    Qualifications:

    You will be required to have the following:

    • Relevant Tertiary qualification- minimum of a B. Tech or bachelor’s degree. (Mining, processing, Geoscience, etc.) or equivalent

    • Applied Lean, 6 Sigma and Project Management experience

    • 2-3 Years’ experience in Mining (preferably open pit), Processing or Engineering industry

    • 1+ year relevant Business Improvement experience with SQL PowrBI, Tableau skills

    • Advanced, Projects, Excel and PowerPoint – MS Office experience

    • Experience implementing business improvement projects at mines (preferably open cast mines)

    • Proven ability to facilitate improvement workshops

    • Relevant experience in coaching front line in business improvement initiative(s) and tools

    Job Description:

    As a Rigger, yourresponsibilities will include: 

    • Adhering to all Health and Safety practices and to ensure compliance and as well as adherence to safety standards and procedures, for yourself and your colleagues

    • Ensuring that effective maintenance is conducted to ensure optimal availability, as well as reporting any defect and failures to your supervisor to enable effective planning

    • Maintaining, test and inspect all equipment and machinery to ensure functionality, safety, reliability and availability to complete jobs within timeframe and budget

    • Ensuring availability of spare parts and that defective component are identified in order to find and implement permanent solutions

    • Ensuring the completion of the necessary job cards relating to the task done including and description of work and spares used Job Card management

    This role is in the Asset Strategy & Reliability Mining Maintenance (HME) department at a J4.2 level reporting to the Engineering Supervisor. 

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 Certificate / N3 Technical

    • N2

    • Qualified/ Trade Certificate as an artisan (Rigger)

    Requirements:

    • Code 08 Drivers Licence

    • Medical fitness certificate

    • 1-2 years’ experience as an Artisan

    • You will have knowledge on safety standards, equipment and Rigging activities.

    Job Description:

    You will be responsible for supervising the GRIR (Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt) team and activities associated with the GRIR process, to ensure effective performance, continuous improvement, adherence to policies and procedures, and management of risks and deviations

    Some of the key responsibilities will include the following:

    • Support GRIR team with activities related to GRIR processes, controls, and stakeholder engagements

    • Assist in unpacking and solving complex issues and root causes

    • Identify and communicate improvement opportunities

    • Escalate recurring issues, trends and behaviors that negatively impact GRIR process

    • Review team reports for accuracy, quality, and timeliness

    • Ensure team and individuals are performing optimally, in line with expectations

    • Initiate remedial actions to address business gaps, risks

    This role is at a Band 7 level reporting to the Manager: Master Data and GRIR.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12

    • Relevant 3-year qualification or equivalent

    • Min 5-years leadership experience

    • GRIR

    Experience:

    • Solid GRIR understanding and experience

    • 3 years SAP Experience

    • 2 years accounting experience

    • 3 years people management experience leading a team of at least 5 people

    • Strong Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)

    • Strong Excel and reporting skills (Pivots, charts, formulas)
