    Stock Controller

    Job description

    British American Tobacco is currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join our great team based in Durban, South Africa.

    The Main Purpose Of The Role Is

    • To manage all aspects of controlling the inflow and outflow of stock through the Industrial depot.
    • Manage prompt representative’s orders and receive stock into SAP received from Heidelberg.
    • To act as a single point of contact regarding stock movements between BATSA

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Accurate daily stock counts
    • Ensure all stock coming back into the main warehouse is correct as per unload recon report off Fener.
    • Ensure all bulk picks are checked correctly with relevant signed documents kept on file
    • Control the movement of damaged stock from the warehouse back to the factory
    • Receive stock from factory with relevant signatories with all documentation kept on file
    • Maintain efficient stock handling and storing processes
    • Ensure that SFO’s receive daily stock take variances
    • Manage and understand all stock movement processes in Fener/SAP
    • Ensure the FIFO rule applies
    • Ensure that Imperial adheres to all BATSA processes
    • Management of incoming stock ex-factory
    • Completing Hijack processes

    Knowledge/Qualifications

    • Diploma in Logistics with minimum 2 years’ experience
    • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office
    • Warehouse and Delivery processes
    • Stock Management

    Electrical Team Leader

    Job description

    British American Tobacco is currently recruiting for a Electrical Team Leader to join our great team based in Heidelberg, South Africa.

    The purpose of the Electrical Team Leader is to manage and oversee the maintenance, upgrade and rebuild of manufacturing equipment and all electrical installations. He/she will ensure the provision of a high level of cost effective electrical support and service to the Heidelberg factory.

    • Manage and oversee the identification of electrical components for switch cabinets and machines to ensure reliable electrical control systems.
    • Manage and oversee successful component layouts for switch cabinets to comply with the prescribed standards and to ensure easy access and maintenance thereof.
    • Manage, control and plan the building of new switch cabinets as upgrades for manufacturing equipment and ensure reliable and cost-effective machine control systems to all clients.
    • Manage, control and plan the rewire of manufacturing equipment to CE standards to continuously enhance productivity, quality, safety and reliability of manufacturing equipment.
    • Manage and oversee the training of electrical staff from clients, on locally designed systems to give them the ability to efficiently maintain the refurbished manufacturing equipment.
    • Manage and ensure compliance with EHS standards and procedures to minimise risk.
    • Communicate and liaise effectively with relevant functions to keep all stakeholders informed and to address and seek solutions for problems of mutual interest for continuous improvement.
    • Manage, control and plan the maintenance of electrical equipment according to maintenance plan.
    • Manage and control the updating of electrical drawings as part of the Change Management System.
    • Adhere to BAT house rules.
    • Active participation and chairing of Departmental Team Talks.
    • Successful identification and training of a successor for the Team Leader position.

    Experience

    Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the FMCG or equivalent business sector.

    Knowledge/Qualifications

    • Qualified electrician with minimum N3 or equivalent
    • Sound knowledge of electrical control components
    • Knowledge AC/DC drives
    • Knowledge & experience in HT and LT switching
    • Knowledge of electrical legal requirements as contained in the OHS act
