    Plant Operator - (Uan/Nk and Urea) - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Works Instructions (WI’s) are strictly adhered to for plants under the incumbent’s control.
    • Load Urea 43% using the loading gantry.
    • Complete bulk loading checklist as well as dangerous goods and vehicle driver compliance checklists.
    • Ensure that the correct quantities of product are loaded. Any discrepancies are to be reported to the Team Leader.
    • Keep the plant tidy at all times and report all unsafe or out of order equipment promptly to the Team Leader.
    • Complete and sign job card.
    • Ensure that good housekeeping standards are maintained in areas of responsibility.
    • Complete forklift checks against checklist schedules as required.
    • Required to assist with stocktakes as and when required.
    • To undertake any legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent is competent as directed by Management.
    • Required to work in other areas outside of the incumbent’s normal work area as directed by the Team Leader and/or Production Manager.
    • To ensure that machinery/equipment under the incumbent’s responsibility is kept in good and safe working condition.
    • Required to conform to relevant SHEQ rules and regulations as per company policy.
    • To meet occupational health requirements at the site as well as to areas of responsibility.
    • To be aware and alert to the toxic and hazardous nature of materials handled in relevant work areas.
    • Ensure accurate and honest reporting of incidents, near misses and safety hazards.
    • To participate and assist to maintain all SHEQ Management Systems standards/requirements.
    • To adhere to all internal control policies as directed by Management.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • Diploma or certificate in chemical plant operations related courses advantageous.
    • Minimum of 1 year’s chemical plant operation experience in Production and items allied thereto.
    • Must be able to drive a forklift, be medically fit to drive a forklift and be in possession of a valid forklift driver’s license.
    • Basic computer literacy skills.
    • Required to work shifts.
    • Knowledge of SHEQ Management Systems standard/requirements advantageous

    Accounts Receivable Administrator - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Accounts receivable processing: Daily processing of all debtors incoming receipts and clearing of all customer accounts, request remittance advice to reconcile unapplied payments, verify tax exemptions, request WHT certificates and initiate journal vouchers
    • Debt collection: Compile AR age analysis report and update daily commentary. Follow up on unpaid or short paid accounts and ensure full payment is received, overdue escalated and make sure they are resolved within SLA, Escalate and address outstanding debt issues to AR Manager and Business, as per customer management process.
    • Credit control: Perform credit application function, annual credit limits reviews, credit adjustments, credit limit monitoring, notify customer/relevant parties when customer credit limit is about to be reached.
    • Reporting: Update and provide daily commentary on overdue debtors, Daily confirmation, Actual vs. Confirmations, Subsequent receipts, Compile age analysis.
    • Dispute and query resolution: Ensure to resolve customer disputes/queries within SLA, Escalate unresolvable disputes/queries to business manager, and communicate outcomes of disputes/queries to all relevant parties.
    • Business controls and governance: Comply with AR policies and procedures, Comply with SLA criteria (specific to area of responsibility).
    • Regularly meet with Customer and Regional Managers from different departments to discuss overdue debtors
    • Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric
    • Advantage studying towards University degree or National Diploma in Accounting or Credit Management
    • 2-3 years’ experience as Accounts Receivable administrator or Credit Control
    • Experience with ERP systems SAP R3
    • Intermediate skills in MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Ability to analyse and perform AR reconciliation for customer accounts
    • Good command of written English for business writing and presentation purposes
    • Knowledge of Mining and Chemicals environment
    • Understanding of company strategies regarding the improvement of Working Capital, Departmental goals, Process improvements

    Financial Planning And Analysis Manager - Modderfontein

    Job Description    

    • Establish standardised policies, procedures, processes, templates and tools for the function
    • Work with the respective business partners (Financial Directors) to continuously understand AECI customer requirements to evolve and standardise the processes, tools and templates across the business
    • Provide guidance and support to the various business partners (Financial Directors)
    • Build and lead Financial Planning and Analytics Centre of Excellence that supports the implementation of business strategy as well as the execution of planning and forecasting activities
    • Develop and implement strategic solutions, models and capability that enables the function to facilitate and improve decision making
    • Drives and enables the creation of insights, reports and dashboards to support business to make the appropriate decisions based on the business strategy
    • Enable the interpretation of performance within the business
    • Facilitate the presentation of industry, competitors and economic context.
    • Build close partnerships with executives and senior leaders to support the translation of business strategies, challenges and priorities into operational plans and measurable objectives
    • Collaborate with Business Partners (Financial Directors) to develop the required internal capabilities to meet functional and role requirements
    • Promotes efficient, accountable, responsible, transparent and moral behaviour that supports the growth of the business
    • Contribute to the development of a positive team culture

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • B Com or BSc in Finance, CA(SA)
    • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
    • 3 – 5 years’ financial planning and forecasting or relevant experience including supervisory/management experience
    • A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel and Word
    • Good business acumen
