    Key Account Consultant

    Job Purpose:

    • The Key Account Consultant is accountable for the end-to-end management and performance of an allocated Mass Market partner portfolio. The role drives delivery of partner strategies to achieve sustainable production, retention, and service outcomes. Acting as the primary commercial interface, it ensures effective partner engagement, performance governance, and SLA compliance. Targeted intervention, turnaround, or remediation is initiated where partner performance falls below expectations.

    Key Perfomance Areas:

    Key Account Strategy & Partner Engagement 

    • Develop and execute account strategies for allocated partners aligned to Mass Market objectives. 
    • Own structured partner engagement, including performance reviews, governance forums, and escalation management. 

    Partner Growth Management 

    • Drive partner growth through targeted production, retention, and profitability initiatives. 
    • Identify expansion opportunities within existing partner portfolios. 

    Partner Performance Intervention 

    • Monitor partner performance against agreed targets and expectations. 
    • Identify emerging underperformance and initiate timely corrective action. 

    Turnaround, Recovery & Remediation 

    • Lead turnaround and recovery plans for underperforming partners. 
    • Diagnose root causes impacting performance, service, or compliance. 

    Retention & Production Initiatives 

    • Execute retention strategies to reduce lapses and improve portfolio sustainability. 
    • Deliver production uplift initiatives aligned to commercial priorities. 

    SLA Compliance & Policy Management 

    • Monitor partner compliance with agreed SLAs and service standards. 
    • Ensure adherence to policy, process, and governance requirements. 

    Broker & Agency Allocation and Management 

    • Manage the allocation of brokers and agencies across the partner portfolio. 
    • Ensure fair and effective distribution aligned to capacity and performance capability. 

    Required Knowledge and Experience    
    Minimum  

    • 5 years’ experience in Key Account Management, Partner Management, Distribution, or a similar commercial role within Financial Services.
    • Proven experience managing broker, agency, or partner portfolios.
    • Demonstrated experience driving partner performance, growth, and retention outcomes.  

    Desirable

    • 7 years’ experience within a Mass Market, advice-led, or distribution-driven environment.
    • Proven experience leading partner performance interventions, turnarounds, or remediation initiatives.
    • Experience working within regulated environments with formal governance, SLA, and compliance requirements. 

    Educational Requirements    

    • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, Sales, Marketing or related  
    • RE Exams highly advantageous
    • Postgraduate degree in Business, Finance or related advantageous
    • Financial services related certifications advantageous

    Senior Manager: Commercial Performance

    Job Purpose:

    • The Senior Manager: Commercial Performance is accountable for delivering sustainable revenue growth, margin improvement, and profitability across Mass Market channels. The role owns end-to-end commercial execution, translating strategy into measurable outcomes through pricing, incentives, partner performance, and distribution optimisation. It leads the commercial performance of existing and new channels, ensuring disciplined delivery, rapid intervention, and turnaround where required. The role is a key driver of commercial rigour, accountability, and results across the Mass Market value chain.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Commercial Performance Delivery:

    • Deliver Mass Market commercial objectives aligned to revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
    • Own channel and segment P&L performance with clear accountability for outcomes.
    • Identify performance risks early and implement corrective commercial interventions.

     Revenue Growth and Margin Management

    • Drive revenue growth across all Mass Market channels and partner portfolios.
    • Optimise margin performance through pricing, commission, and incentive levers.
    • Balance growth, sustainability, and profitability in all commercial decisions.

      Pricing, Incentives and Commission Management

    • Execute Mass Market pricing strategies in line with profitability objectives.
    • Design and manage commission and incentive frameworks that drive targeted behaviour.
    • Optimise incentive effectiveness to improve production, retention, and quality of business.

      Partner and Channel Performance Management

    • Manage performance of the Mass Market partner portfolio against agreed targets.
    • Optimise partner portfolios through growth, remediation, restructuring, or exit decisions.
    • Lead turnaround initiatives for underperforming partners and channels.

        New Business and Channel Expansion

    • Deliver new partner acquisition and new distribution channel growth.
    • Execute onboarding, launch, and ramp up of new partners and channels.
    • Ensure scalability, sustainability, and commercial viability of new business initiatives.

      Strategic Initiative and Campaign Execution

    • Deliver Mass Market strategic initiatives and commercial campaigns end to end.
    • Track campaign performance and commercial impact against defined success measures.
    • Course-correct execution to ensure initiatives deliver intended outcomes.

    Required Knowledge and Experience    

    • 8 years’ experience in commercial performance, revenue management, or distribution performance within Financial Services.
    • Proven experience managing revenue growth, margin, pricing, commissions, and incentives.
    • Direct accountability for commercial outcomes within a Mass Market or distribution-led environment.
    • Experience leading large partner portfolios or multi-channel distribution environments.
    • Proven success in launching and scaling new channels or new business models.

    Educational Requirements
