    Production Manager (REF: IVP-MIN-2606)

    Job Description

    • IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to   develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • A BSc Mining Engineering or BTech Mining Engineering, related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Blasting Certificate
    • Mine Manager certificate of competence (MMCC)
    • Medically fit as per Occupational Medical requirements
    • Experience as Mine Health and Safety Act Reg 2.6.1 Appointee
    • Experience in Massive Mining Methods

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • A minimum of 10 years relevant Southern African mining experience of which minimum five years must be on Mine Overseer level
    • Experience of successfully leading and managing a suitably sized mine or mines with a production of 200 000 tons per month.
    • Minimum five years in massive mining methods
    • Strong People management skills.
    • Strategic and operational experience to support effective decision making based on business context, shareholder risk, financial, labour supplier, customer and employee interests.
    • Evident project management experience.
    • Experience of ramping up mine production of new mine or a section of mine would be an added advantage.

    • Responsible for shaft sinking and construction of the mine.

    • Ensure that the mine is properly staffed with sufficient supervision staff and adequate suitably trained staff to safely execute the required tasks.

    Mine Planning Manager (REF : IVP-MTS-2607)

    Job Description

    • IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class platinum-palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to   develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the mine development.

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • A recognised Bachelor of Engineering/ BSc Degree in Mining or closely related field.
    • Strong planning and analytical skills

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an underground mining environment with at least 5 years spent in a Mine Planning and Business Planning environment.
    • Experience in various underground mechanised mining methods is essential with at least 5 years’ experience with sub level open stoping methods preferable
    • Experience working with all Mine Technical Services disciplines.
    • Experience in co-ordinating and compiling Business Plans for mining operations is essential.
    • Highly experienced in Monthly Planning processes.
    • Solid experience in mine scheduling, particularly in Deswik, and developing a mining budget.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Translate broadly stated company objectives into detailed plans and schedules
    • Identify long term mining opportunities and develop strategies and business plans for their realization
    • Ensure that the medium-term development plan is compatible with the long-term plan and strategy
    • Coordinate the mine design and scheduling process through liaising and consultation with production managers
    • Formulate departmental strategy and measures in line with the Company plan
    • Establish and maintain a mine planning system using suitable software, to integrate geological resource models, geotechnical models, survey data, optimised designs, and productivity trends to accurately and timeously plan mining sequences and development phases to meet required production targets
    • Provide accurate designs and plans to ensure the mine can meet current and future production requirements.
    • Oversee operations to ensure adherence to short, medium and long-term plans
    • Coordinate and review the design of sub-level open stopping blocks and extraction and backfilling sequences
    • Coordinate and review the design of mine development and services to support extraction
    • Ensure that technical and planning information is timeously made available to support mining production.

    Administrator MTS (REF: IVP-MTS-2608)

    Job Description

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience: 

    • 1 year experience as Administrator or Data Capturer, preferably within an Mine Technical Services department.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to: 

    • Assist the MTS department on a daily basis with administrative functions, such as diary and calendar management, taking notes in meetings and following up on actions.
    • Draft all MTS documents under the direction of the MTS Manager for the implementation of the MTS management system.
    • Manage the electronic MTS management system.
    • Schedule and attend all internal and external MTS audits; have tracking system for all non-conformances raised to ensure closure.
    • Analyse all incidents trends to and liaise with all HODs to create pro-active action plans, which will ensure no repeat incidents.

    • 6 years relevant experience in procurement role within a mining environment / department.
    • Buying and expediting experience across the full spectrum of goods & services applicable to the mining industry.
    • Analysing tenders and negotiating with suppliers.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, for Ivanplats, including sourcing vendors, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that appropriate systems are in place to support the procurement process and procedures
    • Research, monitor and ensure compliance with the South African government regulations, including but not limited to the Mining Charter, BBBEE codes etc.
    • Report on targets set by the Supply Chain Manager and explain variances and recommend improvements

    TMM Warehouse Supervisor (REF: IVP-FIN-2608)

    Job Description

    Role Overview

    • The TMM Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising warehouse operations related to TMM critical components, engineering spares and consumables.
    • The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient handling of parts, supporting maintenance, production, and operational requirements across the mine.

    Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or relevant field (advantageous)
    • SAP / JDE / Pronto / Oracle ERP experience (JDE highly advantageous)
    • Knowledge of TMM components (hydraulics, drivetrain, electrical, and undercarriage components)
    • Trade certificate (Advantage)
    • Valid Code 8/10 driver’s licence
    • Computer literacy: MS Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate)
    • Strong understanding of mine safety standards, stock integrity controls, and SHEQ principles

    Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

    • 5+ years’ warehouse experience, including receiving, issuing, binning and inventory control
    • 3+ years’ supervisory experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment
    • Proven experience managing Trackless Mobile Machinery spares such as loaders, dump trucks, drill rigs, LHD/LPT components, and support equipment

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

    • Supervise daily warehouse operations focusing on TMM spares, components, and consumables
    • Oversee the receiving, verification, and inspection of engineering spares, ensuring quality and accuracy
    • Ensure correct binning, labelling, and storage of items according to warehouse layout and safety standards
    • Manage issuing processes including pick slips, DSI scans, and job‑card allocations
    • Ensure critical TMM spares are always available and properly controlled to minimise downtime
    • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts, and investigate variances
    • Maintain strict compliance with mine safety standards and SHEQ requirements
    • Compile daily and monthly reports: stock levels, consumptions, shortages, and KPIs
    • Communicate closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams
    • Train and mentor warehouse staff to ensure operational excellence
