    Payroll Accountant CA(SA)

    Purpose of the Position: 

    • Recording Journals, Performing Reconciliation and Producing Reports

    Key Performance Objectives
    Tasks
    Controls, Governance & Policies

    • Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll related control accounts
    • Investigate reconciling items and resolve the current outstanding items (including but not limited to passing adjusting entries, following up with payroll administrators, investigating non-payroll related entries and tracing to the source)
    • Assist in improvement and development of payroll processes and systems for accounting purposes
    • Responsible for the development/creation, implementation and maintenance of system of robust controls, procedures and policies relating to the payroll function
    • Responsible for monitoring compliance to accounting policies and payroll legislation
    • Ensure compliance to policies, internal control and external audit
    • Support internal audit, ensure that any findings are resolved
    • Work with cross functional teams in the shared services and business to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency in financial area

    Payroll Activities

    • Analysing payroll data and providing meaningful reports to business and Performing monthly Payroll Quality Assurance
    • Prepare and request monthly funding for salary costs and agree to costing reports received from various payroll administrators
    • Prepare and process cashbook journal
    • Processing the salaries bank account bank statement into SAP Main bank account and prepare the reconciliation
    • Extract and balance payroll journal for import into SAP for the Multichoice Group
    • Extract and distribute cost centre reports
    • Prepare and process leave provisions. Allocating Payroll deductions to the GL (Income statement, Balance sheet or staff debtor accounts)
    • Prepare and process bonus provisions
    • Review and process reallocation journals from business
    • Prepare and process COIDA provisions
    • Provide Finance Business Partners with the Executive salary for budget and forecast
    • Retrieving all EFT reports from Payroll Administrators and process timely in order to make cut-off on a weekly basis
    • Reconcile and clear the bank subaccounts used for processing bank statements
    • Process confidential payments, as per Management request
    • Performing monthly Payroll variance analysis Assist with quarterly audit of the payroll administrators payrolls
    • Assist with the half year and yearend audit. Performing the PAYE recon on the IT14SD recon for all group entities
    • Assisting with payroll cost related queries
    • Performing monthly Payroll analytics

    Qualifications

    • CA (SA) required

    Experience / Skills

    • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
    • Sound knowledge of Payroll legislation and Taxation rules
    • SAP & SAGE system backline experience
    • Advanced excel skills

    Marketing Manager

    Purpose of the Position:

    • To assist with the management and implementation of consumer marketing campaigns to ensure alignment with the business objectives and overall value add to the business.

    Marketing Management

    • Oversee all marketing production process from brief to delivery on Brand, products, packages and services campaigns
    • Brief Media agency on campaigns
    • Deliver on Digital assets where necessary as part of campaign delivery.
    • To Promote a positive brand image that will lead to an increase in the overall subscriber base throughout the Africa
    • Drive brand awareness, consideration, acquisition and positive customer behavior
    • Drive Customer education, Self Service awareness and usage through marketing campaigns
    • Drive awareness of packages offered as well as upgrades and downgrades
    • Drive Awareness and usage of VAS services/products and other digital platforms across all spheres
    • Drive retail/point of sale branding and marketing collateral

    Operational Delivery

    • Implement all marketing plans to promote acquisition
    • Implement all marketing campaigns to promote customer education on self-service for all brands
    • Plan and Manage all marketing campaigns, new products and services
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of country specific Brand activities and ensure alignment with corporate brand objectives.
    • Liaise with agencies and internal teams regarding on-air material and consistency
    • Manage brand packages education and upgrades and downgrades (flexibility) marketing campaigns
    • Ensure countries implement all marketing campaigns on ATL and BTL- Trade and POS
    • Developed Relationships with Country GM’s and Local Marketing managers and/or Publicity Managers

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Marketing

    Experience

    • 5 years’ experience in a marketing or brand management role from any consumer facing business.
    • Focus on understanding customer and developing marketing propositions to drive purchase and brand affinity.
    • Knowledge and understanding of operations, technical, broadcasting and production background
    • Understanding of the model for working and developing campaigns with agencies and management of multiple stakeholders
    • Strong understanding of markets and customers
    • Project management knowledge and experience
