    Product Owner (Paxi and Pep Money) (Western Cape)

    Description

    • Setting the roadmap and prioritising the development demand list through understanding the business strategy and objectives, the customer needs, and technology. Ensure that the business systems and business processes incorporate industry standards and best practices; and oversee business process and technology support to users.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategically drive new system and product development
    • Maintain, prioritise, and continuously refine the product backlog
    • Gather requirements and translate them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Work closely with design, operations, and business stakeholders
    • Ensure successful delivery of product increments in each sprint
    • System Improvement delivery / Project delivery 
    • Oversee Support Service to the business
    • Ensure successful delivery of product increments in each sprint
    • Align product development to business objectives and KPIs

    Requirements

    • 5 years’ experience in a Product Owner, Solutions Manager, or similar role
    • Exposure to retail or logistics environments (beneficial)
    • Experience in designing and implementing business and technology solutions.
    • Hands-on involvement in software development processes and product documentation.
    • Practical experience working with both Agile (user stories, acceptance criteria) and Waterfall methodologies
    • Ability to support multiple business processes across one or more system
    • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
    • Solid foundation in information and business system design
    • High computer literacy: MS Office, MS Project, and/or Google Workspace
    • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and solution trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
    • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities
    • Effective project management capability
    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, including leading training sessions
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to develop and present ideas clearly and persuasively

    Key Account Manager: Retail Media (Northern Suburbs (Cape))

    Description

    • Responsible for maximizing revenue and cultivating strong, strategic relationships with key suppliers (endemic and non-endemic advertisers) and internal stakeholders to grow PEP's Retail Media Network. 
    • This role is the primary commercial interface, tasked with selling the value proposition of PEP's Retail Media ecosystem, ensuring the flawless execution of campaigns, and reporting on performance to deliver exceptional return on investment (ROI). 
    • The incumbent will be critical in building a scalable and profitable retail media network for the organization.

    Requirements
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Growing and retaining Key Supplier relationships 
    • Develop and implement a solid relationship management process to retain and grow business within key accounts
    • Develop business proposals to onboard new partners 
    • Retail Media commercial and sales growth - Meet and exceed sales targets for key suppliers 
    • Co-create and execute a comprehensive sales strategy 
    • Ensure that financial budgets are met for the Financial year 
    • Oversee Campaign execution and performance. 
    • Manage the end-to-end campaign lifecycle
    • Stakeholder management 
    • Foster Internal collaboration and value delivery.
    • Bridge between PEP's internal teams and advertiser.
    • Ongoing project management and administration within portfolio 
    • Ensure all administrative work are completed on accounts 

    ROLE  REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Business, Marketing, Media, or a related field. 
    • 3-5 years of experience in Key Account Management, Media Sales, or AdTech sales
    • Desirable/Advantage: Digital Marketing or Sales Certification, Retail Media accreditation (either Amazon, Tesco, Walmart etc) OR 5-8 years experience as a KAM in the retail media, e-commerce or trade marketing space.
    • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding significant revenue targets. 
    • Experience negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements. 
    • Desirable/Advantage: Previous experience working with Cellular/FMCG supplier accounts. Knowledge of the retail relationship ecosystem.
    • Essential: Solid understanding of retail media models (Sponsored Products, Display, DSP/Programmatic, Off Platform, In-store, CRM). 
    • Proficiency in sales CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) will be an advantage. 
    • Strong financial and commercial acumen. 
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills. 
    • Data literacy for interpreting campaign analytics (e.g., ROI, ROAS, AOV).
    • Desirable/Advantage: Knowledge of campaign reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics). 
    • Understanding of ad-serving technology.
    • Competencies: Performing under pressure, Presenting, Structuring, Organisational sensitivity, Persuasiveness, Drive, Initiative,  Strategic sales.
