    Finance Administrator – Head Office (Midrand)

    Job Purpose: 

    • The position of a Finance Administrator is required for the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (“NBCPSS”) in terms of its establishment Section 29(15)(a) of the Labour Relations Act as amended. The Finance Administrator will be responsible for performing full a range of ongoing finance, administrative and office support functions to facilitate efficient and effective financial operations.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of an appropriate Grade 12 certificate and/or equivalent.
    • Post Matric Qualification in Finance, Accounting, or relevant equivalent.
    • 1 – 2 years’ experience in a finance administrative role.

    Knowledge/Skills Requirements

    • Basic Accounting
    • In-depth knowledge of financial principles and processes (IFRS, Tax Regulations and other applicable legislation)
    • Internation Financial Reporting Standards
    • Procurement policies, finance policies, best practice and processes
    • Knowledge of Xero and other accounting software’s

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Perform a client services function, receiving referred clients to enquire about specific cases and opening cases/files for those parties lodging a dispute if required.
    • Preparation and submission debtors’ and creditors’ reconciliations.
    • Capture all supplier invoices on Xero daily, ensuring all invoices are valid Tax invoices and the correct VAT is applied.
    • Prepare monthly analysis of the creditors list.
    • Assist customers in resolving queries.
    • Assisting auditors as and when required.
    • Assist in the acquisition of good and services.
    • Keep record of fixed asset in their register whenever assets are acquired and ensure that they are bar-coded and updated in the system and in the asset register.
    • Perform physical assets verification.
    • Update the insurance company of all new assets acquired, as well as disposals.
    • Keep records of assets to be disposed.
    • File all documents.
    • Assist accountant with ad hoc duties

    Case Management Officer – Braamfontein

    Job Purpose: 

    • The position of a Case Management Officer is required for the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector in terms of its establishment Section 29(15)(a) of the Labour Relations Act as amended. The Case Management Officer will be responsible for the administrative processes of the Council’s Dispute Resolution with the use of the Case Management System.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Minimum of an appropriate Grade 12 certificate and/or equivalent
    • Post Matric Qualification in Labour Relations/Human Resources/Administration (or relevant equivalent)
    • 2 – 3 years relevant working experience in Labour Relations/Dispute Resolution/Service/Human Resources/environment 
    • CCMA Case Management System (CMS) utilisation experience an added advantage

    Knowledge/Skills Requirement

    • Knowledge of Labour Legislation 
    • Knowledge of Collective Bargaining 
    • Knowledge of Dispute Resolution Processes

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Perform a client services function, receiving referred clients to enquire about specific cases and opening cases/files for those parties lodging a dispute if required.
    • Capturing of daily applications on Case management system.
    • Screening files/ referrals to ensure that all details are correct, that the stipulated timelines are adhered to, and that the required signatories have signed.
    • Scheduling of cases in terms of date, venue and time and informing both parties. 
    • Booking of interpreters and commissioners for cases and ensuring that a venue is booked timeously.
    • Once the commissioner has made an award/decision, send to senior personnel to check and then distribute outcome to all concerned parties.
    • Coordinate and manage the rescission and review applications and assign commissioners and interpreters.
    • Ensure that all recording equipment is in good working order and operational for all cases to be heard.
    • Ensure all settlement agreements and compensation awards are loaded to the CMS system to record for performance stats and accreditation status.
    • Administer all condonation applications in terms of the CCMA rules in consultation with the Commissioner and report to Senior any challenges experienced.
    • Assist in all section 143 matters in respect of CCMA certification and ensure that the applicants follow the right process for enforcement.
    • Coordinate the submission of Claims/Invoices Payments obtained from the commissioners/interpreters. 
    • Manage correspondence for the area including writing letters to parties, distribution of correspondence and responding to emails received from panellists and parties on a daily basis.
    • Ensure files are filed in numerical order and retrieval of labour court files which need to be submitted to the legal department. 
    • Receive monthly statistics from the CCMA and create a report on all matters received.

    Designated Agent - Kimberely

    Job Purpose: 

    • The position of a Designated Agent is required for the National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Sector (“NBCPSS”) in terms of its establishment Section 29(15)(a) of the Labour Relations Act as amended. The Designated Agent role is responsible to promote, monitor, and enforce compliance with any Collective Agreement conduced in the Bargaining Council.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of an appropriate Grade 12 certificate and/or equivalent.
    • Post Matric Qualification in Labour Relations Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Law, Human Resource Management and/or relevant.
    • 2 – 3 years’ experience in a Labour Relations environment.
    • 1 – 2 years’ experience in Collective Bargaining or Labour Law Enforcement an advantage.
    • In possession of a current valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

    Knowledge, Skills & Expertise:

    • Knowledge of Labour Legislation and Bargaining Council’s Collective Agreements

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Promote, monitor, and enforce compliance with all Collective Agreements of the investigating and searching, determining jurisdiction for companies that are operating in the registered scope of the Council, registering, or opening cases where companies refuse to register.
    • Interpretation of all clauses of the Collective Agreements to enforce all Council Agreements and issue Compliance Orders to companies that are non-compliant.
    • Calculate and determine the amounts owing to Council due to non-compliance, and issue compliance orders.
    • Negotiating, drafting and signing of settlement agreements with employer representatives and submit such agreements to the Senior Agent for approval.
    • Lead enforcement cases already referred to arbitration and successfully prosecute non-compliant employers.
    • Conduct routine proactive and reactive inspections and issue findings report.
    • Discuss and explain inspection reports with stakeholders to avoid future non-compliance.
    • Receive complainant cases to investigate for enforcement, decide on appropriate form of investigation to be undertaken to ensure quality case investigations within the prescribed period.
    • Execute (Serve to companies) legal documents such as compliance orders, notice of arbitration, and awards.
    • Attend to enquiries and requests related to the role and purpose of the Council and other matters related to Collective Agreements and applicable legislation.
    • Provide training and educating (information sharing sessions) employer representatives and employees in relation to the Council and its Collective Agreements.
    • Promoting stakeholder relationships with both employer and employee representatives, conducting oneself in an objective and fair manner.
    • Planning and organising of daily, weekly, and monthly compliance and enforcement activities.
    • Prepare and submit weekly route plans and activity reports.
    • Being a Custodian of the Council’s image and reputation and conduct oneself in a professional manner.
    • Cost centre management and control of items related to the function.
