    Service Consultants- PG Glass (Witbank)

    Main job purpose

    • To provide first tier customer engagement (phone or desk) at a PG Glass site by providing professional support and advice, offering VAPS, converting sales opportunities and following standard business processes, procedures and standards toward solving customer glass problems with real care, with attention to detail and positive Brand experience.

    Main Objective

    • Provide a great customer experience, achieving NPS targets, through friendly, professional and efficient servicing of every customers glass related problem.
    • Provide accurate advice and feedback to customers toward converting every sales opportunity while adhering to system and process standards.

    Glazier - PG Glass (George)

    • To provide a professional glazing service on customer’s premises by handling all types of glass and other glazing materials, cutting and rimming of glass and securing of glass and other glazing materials in windows.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Customer Service:

    • Ensure the highest level of quality customer service to external and internal clients through quality workmanship, on time deliveries are done and correct orders are completed and delivered.

    Autoglass Technician (Polokwane)

    • To ensure that the highest level of PG Glass Fitment Centre standards are maintained when fitting of automotive glass is done. These standards include the standards laid down for the Level 1 Service Technician, Level 2 One Man Service Technician, Level 3 AutoGlass Service Technician and Level 4 Advanced AutoGlass Service Technician.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Customer Service:

    • Ensure the highest level of quality customer service to external and internal clients through quality workmanship, on time deliveries

    Level 4 Advanced Auto Glass Service Technician:

    • The service technician takes full responsibility for the jobs allocated to him
    • Performs one man fitting on more difficult vehicles e.g. S Class Mercedes
    • Assists with the development and technical support of the service technicians and technicians in the Fitment Centre
    • Interacts with customers and represents the company
    • Handles payment
    • Performs one man fitting.
    • The productivity standard is >400 points or approximately 6-8 job per day / 125 jobs a month
    • The assessment standard is >95%
    • Completes all administration to the required standard
    • During a six month period of time, the ratio of comebacks a maximum of three.
    • When performing work inside a Fitment Centre, there may be a requirement to take some responsibility and supervision of the floor of store or both depending on the size of the Fitment Centre.

    Specifications Analyst

    Main job purpose

    • To effective support  the maintenance of existing product and introduction of new product by executing the CAD drawing function based on customer requirements and needs and to generate drawings and specifications through the evaluation of CAD drawings, 3D scanning and physical samples for internal customers. 

    Main Objective

    Customer Service Consultant - PG Glass (Pietermaritzburg)

    Main Job Purpose

    • To manage the front desk of a Fitment Centre by providing professional operational support and general business consultation to all customers and staff, whilst ensuring compliance with corporate identity, operating standards, and business processes and procedures. To ensure that all internal sales are processed and that the correct money is collected.

    Main Objectives

    • Manage and follow up on all counter sales (face-to-face and telephonic) by giving relevant advice to customers in the most professional manner to ensure all sales are closed, budgets and Nett Promoter Scores (NPS) targets are achieved, contributing to the growth of the business.

    Warehouse Manager - PFG (Cape Town)

    Main job purpose

    • Plan and coordinate all deliveries of glass products to customers in the region as well as planning and coordinating of replenishment of stock, ensuring the full utilization of return loads by liaising with relevant customers and the central logistics team. Offload and coordinate stock movement for goods received from import containers and rail deliveries as required in a safe manner, adhering to documented process.

    Main Objective

    • Determine and manage stocking requirements by analyzing sales trends per product and generate orders for replenishment of glass from Springs as per requirement.
    • Minimise breakages through proper delivery control documents and correct packaging and storage methods
    • Identify and recommend opportunities for system and operational improvements for stock management.
    • Ensure on Time and Full delivery hit rate of 95% to customers.
    • Manage and control any customer returns, ensure that customer complaints are properly logged and defective material is returned under controlled conditions to PFG Springs.
    • Assess new customers' premises to establish if they are suitable for 30 ton deliveries and advise customers on safe off - loading procedures.
    • Control all documentation and SAP system records for stocks and deliveries to ensure system integrity which in turn allows accurate stock replenishment and planning decisions leading to cost efficient supply to this hub.
    • Plan and coordinate all locals and import deliveries to ensure efficient and timeous delivery of stock with cost effective utilization of return loads to Springs.
    • Meet legal and safety requirements by ensuring the maintenance of overhead cranes and delivery vehicles and attachments, trailers and equipment, ladders and tools used for loading and unpacking of containers and de-crating of same.

    • To regularly review IBP system (customer releases) for future planned production and manage the availability of stock for future production requirements to minimise unforeseen problems.
    • To co-ordinate and verify the procurement and invoicing process to ensure that suppliers and contractors are paid correctly and timeously.
    • To liaise and build effective working relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and contractors in order to improve services, quality and cost efficiency.
    • To manage the off-site warehouse by directing activities and monitoring performance to ensure efficient service delivery to manufacturing sites.

    Critical job requirements

    Qualification(s)

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent

    Knowledge

    • INCO Terms
    • Warehousing and Storage (receipts and FIFO standards)
    • Transportation regulations and procedures
    • SAP system
    • Knowledge of sourcing new suppliers and products
    • Knowledge of market research and trend analysis
    • Costing and estimating acumen

    Experience

    • 7 years experience in Specialist Buyer / Senior Buyer / Import Specialist Buyer role
    • 5 years in a manufacturing environment in procurement role
