    Warehouse Supervisor- M1

    The Role

    • The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a team of approximately 15 warehouse operators, and/or stock auditors executing warehouse operations. To keep track of the daily outstanding workload and the ability to adjust work capacity where needed. Finding a balance between delegation of tasks and helping in the operations is a challenge in this function.

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Day supervision of a group of warehouse operators and/or Stock Auditors as determined by the Warehouse Operations Manager.
    • Manage the team of warehouse operators and/or Stock Auditors to meet the service requirements set for outbound deliveries, inbound deliveries, stock auditing/accuracy and credit returns.
    • Planning, coordination and control on warehouse activities
    • Monitor daily outstanding workload and performance
    • Adjust work capacity to finalize the daily outstanding work
    • Ensure that receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch and other related inbound and outbound processes are performed on time in line with the daily targets
    • Ensure that daily cycle counts and bin audits checks are done
    • Manage overtime and temporary employees requirements
    • Talent development of Warehouse Operators and/or Stock Auditors
    • Create and Review Workday performance documents for Warehouse Operators and/or Stock Auditors
    • Manage employee absence
    • Communicate key information to Warehouse Operators and/or Stock Auditors as cascaded by the Warehouse Operations Manager
    • Manage and interact with union representatives effectively
    • Serve as first line response and support for on the floor issues raised

    Your Profile

    • Grade 12
    • Diploma or Other Supply Chain Certificates recommended
    • At least 2 years within warehouse management

    Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Administrator - S2

    The Role:

    • Working as part of an integrated and collaborative People function focused on driving business success, this role is responsible to ensure that all talent acquisition administrative duties are executed in a timely manner and that the onboarding process for all new employees are consistent to ensure a smooth process and enhance the employee experience.

    Key Performance Areas:

    To support the Talent Acquisition team with administration:

    • Obtain approval for all pending job requisitions and initiate approval on Workday timeously.
    • Follow up on all job requisitions and give feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Assist managers in creating job requisitions.
    • Support in drafting job adverts and advertising on Workday.
    • Conduct applicant screening interviews.
    • Arrange interviews with candidates.
    • Compile, print and issue interview packs.
    • Ensure that all interview data is updated in Workday and that all interview packs are received.
    • Launch psychometric assessments and track progress.
    • Conduct Reference checks and pre-employment checks in ensuring that the AFIS checks are done and the BI files are closed timeously.
    • Compile and ensure that all documents are in order for the successful candidate’s file.
    • Ensure that all payments for the Service Providers are processed and paid.
    • Ensure that all filing is completed.

    Execution of Workday Transactions

    • Ensuring that all transactions pertaining to hiring are updated and completed timeously.

    Onboarding activities

    • Ensuring a consistent onboarding experience for all new employees by creating a positive, warm and welcoming experience.
    • Prepare and send “New Starter” packs and new employee documentation to ensure that all new employees receive everything they need to start on or before their first day in their New Starter pack
    • Ensure follow up with the manager prior to employees first day as well as on/after first day.
    • Processes medical aid for new employees and assist with transfer.
    • Assist new employees with Portal information/registration
    • Follows up and ensures that all new employees have been loaded.

    Talent Acquisition Reporting

    • Develop and track a weekly report on pending Job requisitions and follow up on approvals.
    • Develop and track a weekly progress report on pending hiring transactions.
    • Develop and track a monthly recruitment metrics dashboard i.e. late hiring transactions, hiring transactions, onboarding experience survey, approval transaction report, talent hub analytics etc.

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification
    • Diploma/Degree in human resources or working towards
    • 3 years HR experience
    • 3 years Recruitment experience
    • Experience in a role that requires administration. strong planning, and organizational skills

    Business Line Manager Mechanical Cutting - M5

    The Role

    • Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions Southern Africa is currently seeking a Business Line Manager – Mechanical Cutting reporting to the VP/MD Sales Southern Africa, will be responsible to develop and implement the sales strategy with assigned geographical territory/country through first line managers.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • To grow the business profitability for the Mechanical Cutting Division, driving sales within the sales area to meet customer needs. This role is for both Equipment and the Aftermarket business in Southern Africa.

    KEY RESONSIBILITIES:

    STRATEGIC PLANNING

    • Participate in the formulation of the divisional strategy in line with company strategy and develop sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy aligned to the divisional strategy for submission to the Vice President for approval:
    • Understand the market to identify customer activities.
    • Gain an understanding of equipment requirements of customers.
    • Define the market pipeline.
    • Approve and sign off forecast plan and make presentation to the key internal stakeholders.
    • Create account management teams to drive the sales strategy.
    • Implement approved sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy with direct line managers and adjust sales area (mechanical cutting) strategy to meet changing markets and competitive conditions.

    PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

    • Identify market changes and future requirements by analysing trends and customer needs.
    • Strategically liaise with Global Mechanical Cutting to ensure machine development and solutions are done timeously and to meet future market requirements.
    • Identify acquisitions from a product development perspective and submit business case to determine viability and sustainability.

    AFTERMARKET SERVICES

    • Craft the aftermarket strategy to align to the divisional strategy, sales strategy and customer expectations.
    • Manage the implementation of the strategy and map the profitability. This includes authorizing of business cases and ensuring commercial compliance.
    • Manage CRM opportunities to ensure compliance.

    CUSTOMER RELATIONS

    • Initiate and mobilize customer relations for the Service team.
    • Continuously seek to improve existing customer relations and attend to customer meetings or engagements on a regular basis.
    • Provide customer feedback on products and keep the customer engaged on product development.
    • Clarify expectations and long-term planning (product roadmap) for the customer.

    BUDGET MANAGEMENT

    • Produce rolling forecast and monthly budgets and prepare monthly operating review (MOR).
    • Provide a destocking plan for managing physical stock.
    • Manage profit margins, pricing, the A&S budget, account receivables and networking capital.

    COMPLIANCE

    • Comply with safety regulations and internal standards and procedures.
    • Comply with applicable legislation i.e., Section 21 of Mine, Health & Safety Act.
    • Monitor compliance of team members to safety regulations, applicable legislation and internal standards and procedures.

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

    • Manage the approval for the recruitment and performance management process of subordinates in consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
    • Create learning opportunities for subordinates through the identification of areas for development, coaching and recommending formal functional training when required.
    • Implement talent management and succession planning frameworks.
    • Manage sound employ​ee relations in accordance with HR policy and procedures.

    EDUCATION:

    • A relevant Degree in Mining/Engineering tertiary qualification (NQF 7)
    • Advanced Computer Literacy

    Advantageous:

    • A relevant Post graduate qualification in Management practice and/or MBA.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • 10 years in Mining and/or Engineering business management experience, of which 5 years is in a leadership role / capacity
    • English proficiency

    • Experience in Coal mining applications (specifically continuous mining operations)

    • 2-3 years Trackless Mining Machines (TMM) mining including breakdown experience
    • Understanding of customer service and mining industry.
    • Good understanding of relevant legislation and/or standards eg, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, ISO 9001 etc.
