    Operations Manager- M4

    Job Description

    • The purpose of this role is to drive the profit and manage loss by securing the market for the Parts and Service division through our strategy and further maintain, protect increase the market share for Parts and Service and delivered productivity improvement on customer sites.

     Main Responsibilities

    • Participate in the formulation of the divisional strategy in line with company strategy
    • Develop all segments sales strategy in conjunction with the Product line Manager, Customer Services and the strategic projects
    • Lead aftermarket business growth in the respective areas of control
    • Develop the aftermarket support in the areas of control to meet and exceed customer satisfaction
    • Identifying, analysing, and driving resolution of customer issues (warranty and non-warranty) with account management
    • Setting up and manage service contract operations to meet the contract target cost

    Project Manager - P4

    The Role:

    • Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced Project Manager on a 12-month contract to support the Applications and Projects team in delivering equipment projects across Southern Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the end-to-end project lifecycle, from order intake and planning through equipment delivery, commissioning, operational readiness, customer acceptance, and final handover.
    • The role will work closely with customers, business line teams, supply chain, service operations, applications specialists, and site stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This position is ideally suited to a highly organized and customer-focused individual with mining, OEM, engineering, or capital equipment project experience.

    Key Performance Areas:

    Project Delivery:

    • Manage equipment delivery projects from project initiation through to customer handover.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, risk registers, and action plans.
    • Coordinate activities between business lines, supply chain, logistics, service operations, applications, and customers.
    • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that may impact delivery, cost, quality, or schedule.
    • Ensure all project deliverables are completed safely, on time, and within agreed scope.

    Operational Readiness:

    • Lead operational readiness activities prior to equipment deployment.
    • Coordinate site preparation requirements, infrastructure readiness, and stakeholder alignment.
    • Ensure all technical documentation, training requirements, spares strategies, and support plans are in place before handover.
    • Facilitate readiness reviews and gate approvals.

    Equipment Delivery & Commissioning:

    • Track equipment manufacturing, logistics, site delivery, installation, and commissioning activities.
    • Coordinate commissioning resources and customer acceptance processes.
    • Support technical teams in resolving project challenges during deployment.
    • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and delivery commitments.

    Customer Engagement & Handover

    • Conduct regular project review meetings and provide status reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Manage punch-list items and ensure successful project close-out.
    • Coordinate formal handover to customer operations and Sandvik aftermarket support teams.
    • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and project governance.

    Governance, Reporting and Risk Management:

    • Prepare project reports, dashboards, forecasts, and management updates.
    • Manage project risks, opportunities, issues, and change requests.
    • Ensure compliance with Sandvik processes, SHEQ requirements, and customer standards.
    • Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Minimum requirements:

    • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Mining, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience managing projects within mining, engineering, construction, OEM, or    industrial environments.
    • Proven experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and customer stakeholders.
    • Experience delivering equipment, technology, infrastructure, or capital projects.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and project reporting tools.
    • Valid driver's licence.
    • Will be required to travel regularly to customer sites.

    Advantageous:

    • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
    • Experience with mining equipment deployment and commissioning.
    • Knowledge of operational readiness and change management methodologies.
    • Experience working in underground and surface mining environments.

    • The Service Exchange Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and coordinating the repair and exchange of serviceable components within the organization.     Junior Logistics Engineer- P2

    The Role:

    • The Junior Logistics Engineer supports the Logistics Engineering function by providing operational, analytical, and systems support across the C4 Hub in Jet Park, the Burgersfort branch, and the broader core network regions within Africa.     • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between operational sites.
