Your tasks and responsibilities:

• You are ambitious and change makes you thrive, become part of a local and virtual support team and assist our clinical customers in English language with your excellent Computed Tomography (CT) Know-How.
• You will provide international technical support (mainly remote and via phone) for CT systems (with a focus on customers in South Africa) to provide a fast and high-quality support to the customer
• You will register, understand and solve technical system malfunction of CT systems, as well as understand customer situation
• You will analyze technical failure with the help of the local customer, service engineer, application specialists as well as remote diagnosis and the knowledge data base
• You will be responsible for qualified pre-diagnosis and the selection of the defined spare parts
• You will take necessary action by using problem solution techniques and derive measures
• Furthermore, you will follow the actions that have been taken and if necessary, modify them
• You will start escalation to research and development with consideration of the escalation guidelines

• You have completed a technical university degree, ideally electrical engineering or medical technology, or you are a certified technician with several years of substantial experience in the medical technology field
• You have several years of experience within service/installation of CT systems

• With your very good language skills you support our customers in South Africa as well as other English-speaking customers in MEA, can document problems, easily communicate internally with your colleagues and understand the trainings, most of which are held in English. Ideally, you have already gained experience in intercultural cooperation
• You have a structured, proactive approach to our customers' problem cases and are able to keep track of several support requests and set the corresponding priorities; at the same time, you always have customer satisfaction and the quality of your technical solution in mind

Your qualifications and experience:

• You have completed vocational training in a technical field, preferably in medical technology or electrical engineering.
• You have many years of professional experience in the field of service/installation for computed tomography, thus possessing very solid CT knowledge
• Ideally, you have already worked in an international environment

• The Field Service Engineer HW (FSE Hardware) is the primary contact for Varian Medical Systems (VMS) customer service and repair needs ensuring that our customers’ equipment always operates efficiently. The FSE is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading and performing preventative maintenance on all designated VMS equipment according to instructions and company guidelines, each FSE operates in a designated field service territory and represents VMS, this role will be based in the Johannesburg area, with some travel to other distributor-based countries handled by Varian's Field Service Team in Africa.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair all designated VMS equipment within an assigned service territory, including preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades per VMS guidelines.
• Manage time and maintain a schedule to include preventative maintenance, installations and upgrades as well as incoming customer calls demonstrating the ability to assess and prioritize the urgency of customer requests and follow-through to completion.
• Understand and recognize the need to escalate incidents when necessary and/or request additional assistance from more tenured representatives.
• Examine difficult customer issues, diagnose and resolve the issues and meet established FSR levels.
• Maintain effective territory management and expense control which includes timely completion and submission of field service and expense reports along with management of consignment and other required documentation according VMS procedures.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships using strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Your qualifications and experience:

• Medical Device experience is preferable
• Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering, test equipment used for verification/checkout and calibration of electronic equipment.
• Limited use and/or application of technical documentation, standards, principles, concepts, and techniques in the field.
• Basic computer usage and debugging skills
• Fundamental knowledge of delivery system networks and networking techniques.
• Basic understanding of imaging systems
• Capable of performing routine maintenance such as follow ups, PMIs and minor STBs
• Basic accelerator theory knowledge

Other Skills:

• BSC; BTech; BEng - in Electrical Engineering is essential
• Be able to interpret customer concerns and translate to machine issue.
• Understand and utilize the escalation process to Senior FSE, Management, NTS, PSE, Applications Required Certifications and Training
• Excellent fluency in English, verbal and written, required, Fluency in other languages would be a plus but not mandatory.
• Software and computer skills are required

• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

• We are looking for a Senior CT Product & Clinical Support Application Specialist, to support the Singapore & Brunei Market.
• As a recognized clinical professional in Computed Tomography, you will be responsible for providing all CT- related pre and post -sales activities for new and existing installed bases in Singapore & Brunei.  Your clinical experience, radiation safety expertise, quality evaluation, technical knowledge, leadership and teaching skills will be vital to grow the team’s capability to support the CT business.
• As a highly experienced technical specialist yourself, you would be responsible for all CT related technical and marketing topics in Singapore.  As the senior Product & Clinical Support specialist, you would also be expected to mentor and coach your junior application/product specialists, taking care of their training, progression & competence level.

Your Role:

• You will provide comprehensive CT application training independently to all levels of clinical, research and veterinary customers.
• You will perform system troubleshooting, image quality and radiation dose review, usage & workflow optimization.
• You will engage customers in consultative & collaborative discussions on planning of CT research projects.
• You will support customers with advanced imaging and research needs, eg use of prototypes and WIPs.
• You will understand and develop expertise in competitive product comparisons.
• You will perform product presentations, and on-site demos for conferences, site visits, and pre-sales events.
• You will provide clinical marketing, product training and sales support to internal colleagues.
• You will support and conduct educational training initiatives, such as hands-on workshops, for CT and clinical topics.
• You will build key CT reference sites and KOL customers in Singapore and Brunei.

Your Expertise:

• A radiographer with at least 7 to 10 years working experience in CT, and experienced in a wide range of cardiac, neuro, MSK, oncology cases and advanced post-processing.
• Good communication, interaction & management skills to ensure best performance from your team members.
• Current or previous knowledge, training or Certification on Siemens CT equipment, especially Photon Counting CT, is an advantage.
• Current or previous job roles in CT Applications in country or region, is an advantage.
