Qualification:

• Matric certificate – with math's (minimum standard grade or above)
• Tertiary certificate in Travel & Tourism/hospitality.

Experience:

• 4-5 years’ experience at a Senior level.
• Experience in handling customer relationships and developing & promoting product and services in the inbound travel industry.
• Computer Literate (Microsoft Office, Email, Teams, Internet browsers)
• Proven English literacy.
• Working knowledge of TourPlan and WISH or similar booking/operating system. Excellent product and geographic knowledge on Southern & East Africa.
• General product knowledge on Southern and East Africa.
• Personal or educational travel experience advantageous

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills both written and oral, in English.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
• Foreign language skills advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Specialist knowledge/experience in the financial services sector (Banking, Insurance,
• Pension funds, Medical aid schemes, Capital markets etc)
• CA (SA) who trained in public practice (external audit).
• RA registration / Eligibility to register as an RA is advantageous.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Participating in the team planning and scoping of risk-based inspections.
• Inspecting planned audit engagements and firms’ quality control policies and procedures
• Regular interactions with audit firms and discussing findings with the engagement partners and leadership of the firms
• Demonstrating a high degree of independence and professional judgement to drive matters to conclusion.
• Researching and consulting internally on technical matter

REQUIREMENTS:

• LLB or equivalent degree.
• A minimum of 3 (three) years post qualification experience in compliance officer role
• Knowledge and understanding the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).

• Perform general accounting functions

GENERAL:

• Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts (insurers, bankers and brokers)

• Reconcile monthly collection tapes per Insurer and Broker
• Rejections uploaded and communicated to Brokers
• Bank reconciled to bordereaux per insurer and broker
• Monthly payments made on time to relevant parties
• Monthly bords and POPs sent to relevant parties
• Insurer Collect - Commission Statements requested and allocated on SystemA
• Journals (reconcile on System) Receipts vs Bordereaux
• Invoicing of Binder fees
• Claims recon
• Claim payments and share POP/Statements to claims department
• SASRIA SATIB payments
• Daily Cover to be reconciled and paid over to Qsure
• Debtors and creditors
