    Job Purpose    

    • To provide high quality, cost effective instruction and training for both regulatory and type, in order to maintain a high standard and safety orientated maintenance of South African Airways and third party aircraft in accordance with local and international airworthiness standards.

    Principal Accountabilities    
    To design and develop training programs and materials in order to meet SAAT and 3rd party training needs:

    • Research the training requirements through needs analysis with SAAT and 3rd party customers.
    • Analyse findings, design training programs and develop training objectives and content.
    • Develop /compile training material, curriculum guides and instructional plans and obtain approval.
    • Update all training material as required by the manufacture and operator/s, review MOD’s, SB’s,

    Manager Avionics and Mechanical

    Job Purpose    

    • To manage and direct SAAT Projects Base Maintenance Avionics and Mechanical teams in accordance with SLA’s, company and clients’ requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the staff schedules, quality standards, safety and regulatory requirements.

    Principal Accountabilities    
     To manage and direct the Avionics and Mechanical teams of Projects (Base Maintenance) in line with regulatory requirements to ensure delivery as per SLAs and quality standards.

    • Manage Avionics and Mechanical teams’ functions, including modifications, installations, repairs to ensure that it is performed using approved maintenance data and it meets regulatory requirements.
    • Manage the installation and repair of trim items to ensure that it meets the correct standard to meet international regulatory requirements.
    • Manage material and tools to ensure the maintenance of all systems
    • Evaluate situations with regards to the maintenance of repair of aircraft components and apply effective systems, methods or contingency plans to normalize the situation

    • Contribute to establishing the annual budget, plan and review the capital budget in line with SAAT operations strategy/ objectives and produce reports to track expenditure as required
    • Manage invoicing processes to ensure timeous and efficient generation of correct invoices and minimize cash flow issues

    To enforce compliance to Quality Standards and Regulations to minimize SAAT’s exposure to risk

    • Enforce adherence to all regulatory, safety and compliance requirements
    • Manage delivery of work in line with the relevant regulatory requirements and where required, put contingency plans in place to reduce risk for the organization

    Basic Training Instructor - (Airframe) - Re Advert

    Job Purpose    

    • Effective design, develop, deliver and evaluate competencies through quality Education Training and Development in a range of Technical as well as behavior skills within SAAT and to 3rd Party customers in accordance with National and International legislation and standards.

    Principal Accountabilities    
    DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING:

    • Research the training requirements through Needs Analysis and Task Analysis with SAA Technical and Third Party clients.
    • Convene performance standards and requirements with customers for best fit
    • Educate oneself using literature available, new knowledge technology internet subject matter experience to choose best fit training techniques.
    • Design the training program including preparing of objectives / Purpose course content and evaluation measures for customers.
    • Develop training material and curriculum guides, produce instructional materials and develop presentation plans.
    • Plan the best fit strategy for the delivery of
    • Compile learning materials through instructional writing and using electronic media (IS&IT).

    Admin Officer - Cape Town

    Job Purpose    

    • To capture data, update technical documentation, perform general office administration and provide administrative and an overall admin support function to the  Manager as well as all the other employees in the department.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Perform general office administration functions to support the Senior Manager in daily running of the office: -

    HSE Training Facilitator

    Job Purpose    

    • Co-ordinate, plan and assess safety, health and environmental competencies for SAA Technical staff. This is achieved through the implementation, continuation and provision of an ongoing training program.

    Principal Accountabilities    

    • Conduct training need analysis and compile a training schedule according to the needs analysis
    • Plan, coordinate, and administer all outsourced training courses within the budget framework, such as First aid and firefighting.
