    Student Administration: Technical Support

    Job Description

    • The Student Administrator: Technical Support is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to students at SACAP.
    • The role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, providing guidance on software and hardware usage, and ensuring students have access to necessary resources for their academic endeavors.  
    • This role forms part of the student administration function and thus includes, but is not limited to all administrative tasks, all student records, and graduation for all campuses.
    • The Technical Support Administrator is expected to maintain a positive relationship with students, to ensure students' technical support queries are dealt with and managed effectively and efficiently.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related fields
    • Prior experience in technical support, customer service, or IT helpdesk roles, preferably in an educational environment.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud) and operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux).
    • Familiarity with educational technology tools such as learning management systems (e.g., Neo, Canvas), virtual conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and online collaboration tools.

    Skills:

    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing high-quality service and support to students.

    SACAP Foundation: Managing Director

    Job Description

    • The SACAP Foundation aims to grow its national footprint, and is therefore in pursuit of a fervent, visionary Managing Director to join our team.

    The candidate will be required to perform various functions that would include:

    • To oversee and guide the growth of the SACAP Foundation projects.
    • Introduce good management over all the projects.
    • Capacitate projects.
    • Support fundraising efforts and build relationships with donors.
    • Strategic role-playing vis-a-vis the mental health landscape in South Africa.
    • Develop SACAP Foundation as an effective advocate for mental health access in South Africa.
    • Pursue new income generating opportunities.
    • Shape and oversee partnership activities to ensure that we continue to work towards our mission to provide equal access to mental health services.
    • Report to the Foundation Board on its projects' strategy, operations, performance, and finances.
    • Oversee the legal requirements of the Foundation in accordance with its legal status as an NPO.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • A mental health background.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in managing non-profit organisations.
    • Project management experience.
    • Confidence in speaking to donors.
    • An excellent grasp of mental health policy and challenges in South Africa.
    • An investment in social change and a desire to advocate for change in the sector.

    SKILLS:

    • An ability to oversee, quantitative and qualitative data collection.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent people management skills.
    • Using CMS, Google suite, Excel.
    • Embraces social media as a communication tool.
    • An ability to create indicators for visionary ideas.
    • Create and manage budgets.
    • Monitoring and Evaluation systems used.
