    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Performs varied and complex tasks relating to the manufacturing function.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 or NQF 4.
    • Certificate in grain grading and grain fumigation is essential
    • Experience in a similar enviroment will be advantageous

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitor flow of grain continuously
    • Continuous grain protection through fumigation as determined by supervisor
    • Monitor of grain tube temperature and report deviation to superior
    • Measure grain tubes according to policy and safety regulations
    • Operate silo according to the VKB Group policy and regulations

    Admin Training Officer - NTK Retail, Head Office Modimolle

    Job Purpose

    • Responsible for the overall management, mentorship, and training of administrative personnel across VKB Retail, ensuring compliant, efficient branch administration and excellent service.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12/NQF4 with Accounting or Mathematics.
    • 4+ years’ experience in a similar Administrative/Retail role.
    • Computer literate in the MS Office suite.
    • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Verify Controls: Continuously check internal controls (inventory counts, claims, returns, shipments, stationery registers, etc.) to minimise risk and prevent financial loss.
    • Reconcile Finances: Perform ongoing reconciliations of petty cash and bank/back-office transactions; resolve discrepancies promptly.
    • Ensure Compliance: Confirm branch adherence to legislation, regulatory requirements, VKB systems, policies, and documentation standards.
    • Survey Inventory: Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inventory surveys; address variances with corrective actions.
    • Review & Remedy Audits: Analyse audit reports and implement action plans to reduce audit points and operational risk.
    • Manage Discipline: Apply disciplinary steps and procedures in collaboration with HR, aligned to the VKB disciplinary code.
    • Inspect Branch Admin: Run routine administrative inspections to ensure branches meet all admin requirements.
    • Report Risks & Solutions: Compile and communicate monthly reports highlighting risks, discrepancies, and practical remedies.
    • Advise & Support: Provide expert admin guidance to retail staff; be the go-to for process and policy queries.
    • Resolve Customer Issues: Coordinate and resolve customer complaints/inquiries within 8 hours of receipt.
    • Liaise Across Teams: Maintain continuous liaison with HR, Input Trade, Finance, Purchasers, Audit and clients to ensure quality service and long-term relationships.
    • Mentor & Train: Coach staff to perform all admin tasks to VKB standards; reinforce policy compliance and best practice.
    • Identify Training Needs: Pinpoint gaps and coordinate training interventions with the Training Department.
