Role Purpose

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing and leading the implementation of solutions and capability architecture for a particular business capability/user journey, according to the overall digital vision and target architecture. This role is responsible for the technical analysis and holistic solution design of future capabilities and features, including external dependencies, cross-domain APIs, and technical enablers/stories. It is responsible for reviewing the target architecture vision and roadmap, evaluating and prioritizing roadmap items, and translating them into designs and non-functional requirements. It is also responsible for providing support to engineering to ensure the development of technical stories are aligned to defined architecture paradigms, principles, and patterns.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• To perform solution design activities by assessing requirements in terms of feasibility, impact, and cost, thereby advising and compiling accurate user requirements that are technically feasible and optimal to implement.
• To maintain, re-evaluate, optimize or automate existing business processes.
• To provide technical guidance into system definition and design activities and drive the delivery of value-added solutions.
• Deliver an end-end Product Architecture (Design) for the Enterprise product roadmap.
• Deliver Technical Impact Assessment (TIA) for a new Enterprise product.
• Responsible to craft Solution Designs by leveraging existing network and also defining new network designs where there is a need.
• Build design principles s for the Enterprise product architecture in Vodacom.
• Investigate and research on Enterprise product and solution architecture principles in-line with industry best practices.
• Maintain sound relationships with technology partners within the Network and Information Technology groups, suppliers and internal customers.
• Provide technical coordination of projects and become a central design authority for new products.
• Provide technical input to test cases and be involved in driving projects to successful completion/implementation.
• Provides guidance and inputs during the product testing phase.
• Perform necessary dimensioning of the end to end solution as per individual domain areas involved in the design.
• Interface and interact with system owners, vendors, and partners to obtain an end to end technical impact and design.
• Guide business on possible products technical feasibilities during the concept phase.
• To help execute the Enterprise strategy for the South African market.
• To manage the technical assessment of the Enterprise pipeline in Vodacom.
• To be the technical expert for Enterprise solutions for EBU markets professionally present Vodafone/Vodacom Enterprise. solutions, negotiate with Vodacom solution partners regarding the viable way to provide a holistic Enterprise product solution that fulfills business needs.
• Interact with the internal Vodacom technical domains or departments to define for Enterprise solutions including technical assessments, design, and support of Enterprise solution.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric - Essential
• 3 year National Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related.
• 5-8 years’ experience in a telecommunications environment (Fixed Line and Mobile services preferable)
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Solution Engineer, Solution Design, or architecture role.
• 4-5years Project management experience.
• At least 5 years’ experience across the SDLC (essential) and Agile practices.

Role Purpose

The DevOps and system engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of processes and tools to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery, maximizing the speed and quality of delivery across teams
This role is responsible for automating build, release, deployment, and configuration activities
it is also responsible for working closely with software, QA, and systems engineers to understand requirements and prototype, architect, implement, operate and update DevOps solutions accordingly
This role must be flexible to constant business and technology change, with the ability to interact, engineer, and communicate collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• This role is responsible for delivering, maintaining and optimizing infrastructure, database, and middleware capabilities to support and enable the development and operations of modules and solutions.
• This role is responsible for reviewing solution designs, understanding their impact on infrastructure, and ensuring the availability of supporting and enabling infrastructure from internal or external service providers.
• This role is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the operational capacity, availability, and performance of the solutions against SLAs from a level two and level three support perspective.
• This role is responsible for providing infrastructure-related level two and level three incident and problem management.
• Overseeing and providing advanced support on open tickets.
• Handling and managing escalations to Development teams.
• Conducting routine supplier review meetings to ensure SLAs are adhered to.
• Routine Capacity and Performance management.
• Adhoc and monthly service performance analysis and reporting.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

• Matric,
• 3year National Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 5-8 years experience in a telecommunications environment (Fixed Line and Mobile services preferable)
• At least 5 years of experience in a DevOps Solution and Environment.
• 4-5 years’ Leadership experience.
• At least 5 years of experience across agile and scrum environments.
