    Senior Lecturer: Viticulture and Oenology, Ref No. AGR 22/2025

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government for a suitably qualified and competent individual to ensure the presentation of practical and theoretical classes/courses within a specific subject field to students and other role players in agriculture.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 4-year BSc degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Viticulture and Oenology; A minimum of 6 years appropriate experience.

    Recommendation    

    • Successfully completed training as an assessor and/or moderator; Expertise to teach related subject.

    Key Performance Areas

    Engineering Technician (Production Level): Road System Development (5 posts available), Ref No. DOI 28/2025

    Job Purpose    

    • The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has opportunities for five (5) suitably qualified and competent individuals to render technical services and assistance to the Sub-Directorate Road Programme Management, Transport Infrastructure. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification; Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as an Engineering Technician; A minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification technical (Civil engineering) experience; A valid driving license (Code B or higher).

    Recommendation    

    • Working knowledge or experience in the condition assessments of surfaced and gravel roads; Efficient skills in report writing and presenting; Willing to travel to sites and work away from home; Efficient computer literacy and good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
