    Ward Administrator Maternity

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Group is committed to creating places of healing for their communities, focused on attracting the best expertise and dedicated to building a steadfast, devoted team. The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctors in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome. The incumbent will further be required to assist the  Unit staff and the Unit Manager.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Answers the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
    • Ensure all new admissions are on the patient's name board with the time and date.
    • Ensure the patient receives a ward information form
    • Place the required stickers in the bulletin book
    • Ensure suitable arrangements are made with the ward that patient is being transferred to or from
    • Discharges may only occur once the Doctor has given his consent in writing
    • Assist with staff shift planning in the ward if required
    • Complete and update “Monthly Register” for learners
    • Ensure all billing is up to date

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a secretarial position/Hospital experience
    • Computer Literacy
    • Flexible working hours
    • Stock management in a Healthcare environment essential

    Ward Administrator Acute Rehab

    Main Focus Areas

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Ensure that the billing of used stock as per the charge sheets and schedule drug books are completed by 11am daily
    • Count top  30 items in stock room daily
    • Prepare for monthly cycle count and quarterly stock take
    • Check expiry dates on all stock items monthly
    • Order stock and unit consumables as required
    • Report stock losses to Unit Manager
    • Ensure that the stock room is neat and tidy
    • All stock shelves to be labelled
    • Conduct filing as required
    • Conduct FAD rounds daily
    • Load My buildings and IT requests
    • Answers the telephone in a friendly and professional manner
    • Attend to all customers reporting to the reception desk in a prompt and friendly manner
    • Admit all new patients and ensure that all patients have received a welcome letter
    • Keep the admission and discharge register updated
    • Discharge all patients off SAP
    • Ensure that patients are given a copy of the admission and discharge reports on discharge.
    • Capture all patients passouts on SAP
    • Patient credits to be sent to pharmacy daily by 08h00
    • Comply all discharge files and handover to the Management Administrator for final billing
    • Check SAP daily to ensure that patients are allocated correctly and transfer the same information to the patient board
    • Assist with nursing staff shift planning (Booking and cancelling of staff as required)
    • Assist the Unit manager with administrative tasks such as typing, arranging staff training, filing of month end checklists
    • Ensure that all nursing equipment is serviced as required
    • Take of all nursing equipment monthly
    • Assist the Shift leader/UM to update the nursing dashboards daily

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience in an administrative position
    • Computer Literacy
    • Flexible working hours
    • Stock management in a Healthcare environment essential

    RHHC Reception Supervisor

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent is to ensure effective administration systems, communication mechanisms and procedures are in place to support the work of the practice and to ensure the delivery of a high quality Administration service provided on a daily basis to patients, doctors and staff.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Management and control main reception and trauma reception
    • To ensure that all patients are admitted timeously
    • To assist the reception staff and attend to patient admissions queries
    • To ensure that the Trauma staff have done the first check and the files are timeously sent to the accounts department
    • To train the reception staff when required
    • To assist with patient complaints at the reception and ward with regard to admissions
    • To ensure that all new speed dials are updated on a regular basis and the various departments have a telephone speed dial list
    • To ensure that authorization are obtained before admission
    • To attend meetings such as HOD’s meetings

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • Previous work experience in a hospital environment is essential
    • Diploma in Administration will be added as an advantage
    • Computer literacy(Microsoft)
    • SAP experience
    • People management skills

    RHHC Infection Control Coordinator

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Infection Prevention Coordinator will be responsible to plan, develop and implement an infection control programme for the hospital using  infection control standards and international best practice

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Aid and assist all hospital employees in managing the prevention, identification and control of infections in patients and employees
    • Plan, develop and implement an infection control programme in keeping with the updated infection control standards
    • Notify the Department of Health timeously of diseases where applicable

    Main Focus Areas
