    Key Account Manager Africa - Agrochemicals

    • A well-established agrochemical manufacturer is seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager to be responsible for managing sales strategies, client training, and trials while ensuring compliance and supporting resource and forecast management across multiple countries in Africa.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a National Senior Certificate; Post matric qualification in Agronomy and Soil Sciences would be preferable
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant experience in the agricultural chemical industry
    • Must have work experience in servicing clients in other African countries
    • Sound knowledge of the international market is essential
    • Must be able to gauge the level of understanding of the client in respect of new technology
    • Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control

    • Evaluating competitor products in various markets to strategically position the plant health product range.
    • Appreciating the importance of customer satisfaction and responding accordingly.
    • Managing and guiding shared resources in African countries.
    • Assisting the Commercial Manager with timely forecasts of the products required in various countries by the respective clients.

    Internal Sales and Office Administrator

    • A leading agricultural company is seeking an Internal Sales and Office Administrator to be responsible for coordinating and processing various activities, events, logistics, invoicing, procurement processes, and administrative tasks in line with company policies and procedures for the Pretoria office (and, at times, the business as a whole). The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing the administrative and day-to-day support required to ensure the Pretoria office operates smoothly and professionally.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Managing reception duties and acting as the professional first point of contact for visitors, employees, suppliers, and callers.
    • Overseeing office housekeeping and maintenance, ensuring all areas are clean and tidy, faults are reported promptly, and repairs and maintenance of office equipment are arranged.

    Sales and Product Manager Coatings

    • An established international chemical distributor is seeking an experienced Industry Manager for its Coatings Business Unit to be responsible for managing the Johannesburg customer portfolio and assigned principal portfolios across designated regions.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with assigned principals, ensuring alignment on business objectives, growth strategies, product portfolios, pricing, forecasting, marketing initiatives, and annual business plans.
    • Preparing and conducting regular business reviews with principals, including sales performance, pipeline opportunities, market intelligence, project status, forecasts, and strategic growth initiatives.
    • Coordinating and managing principal visits, ensuring clear objectives, customer engagement plans, and timely follow-up on agreed actions.
    • Acting as the primary liaison between the principal and the company, ensuring customer feedback, technical requirements, competitive activities, and market developments are communicated effectively.
    • Driving the implementation of new product launches, promotional campaigns, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Business Unit Manager and the principal.
    • Taking responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process for the assigned product and principal portfolios, including sales volumes, sales revenue, gross profit, and income, monitoring performance against budget monthly, analysing variances, and implementing agreed corrective actions with the Business Unit Manager to achieve budgeted financial objectives.
    • Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date Salesforce opportunity pipeline, updating it at least weekly, and ensuring that all opportunities include expected revenue, probability, anticipated closing date, competitors, project status, next actions, and responsible parties.
    • Developing and executing annual business plans for assigned principals, including sales budgets, gross profit targets, market development initiatives, pricing strategies, technical projects, marketing activities, and quarterly business reviews.
    • Obtaining and regularly updating customer forecasts to support accurate purchasing, inventory, and stockholding decisions.
    • Managing inventory levels, demand forecasts, purchasing recommendations, and stock availability for assigned principals, balancing working capital efficiency with customer service requirements.
    • Identifying and developing new markets, applications, customers, and product opportunities for assigned principals, supported by clear commercialisation plans and measurable revenue targets.
    • Visiting regions as and when necessary, in consultation with the Business Unit Manager.

    Commercial Agronomist

    • A market leader in agrochemical products is seeking an Agronomist to be responsible for growing the agriculture business by providing agronomic, technical, sales, and marketing support on crop fertilisation to clients, with the aim of increasing the sustainable profitability of customers through the use of technology that enhances efficiencies.

    Minimum requirements for the role:

    • Must have a B. Sc. (Agric) with Soil Science, Agronomy, Horticulture or Plant Science
    • Master’s degree in Agriculture will be advantageous
    • Familiarity with agricultural practices and/or fertiliser products is essential
    • Experience in and knowledge of permanent crops (Macadamia Nuts, Avocado’s etc) or seasonal crops (Sugarcane, Maize, Wheat, Barley etc.)
