    Dealer Support Technician

    • We are looking for a Dealer Support Technician to join our MPP Aftermarket team within the Services business in the Africa organization. In this role, you will provide technical and business support across our dealer network, helping to drive aftermarket growth, support equipment performance, and deliver excellent customer satisfaction.
    • You will report to the Global Technical & Product Support Manager.
    • This role is based in Centurion, South Africa, with a hybrid working model.
    • You will spend part of your time working alongside the local distributor and will undertake local and international travel as required.

    Team you will belong to

    • You will join the MPP Aftermarket team and work closely with colleagues based in the USA, as well as dealers, customers, Technical Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality teams. The team is focused on delivering responsive support and creating value throughout the equipment lifecycle.

    What you'll do

    • Act as the key liaison between dealers and internal teams to support technical issues, service activities, and aftermarket business objectives.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and support repairs of equipment across the dealer network.
    • Drive aftermarket growth through technical support, service initiatives, parts sales support, and customer engagement.
    • Analyze warranty issues, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
    • Coordinate service requirements, including parts, consumables, maintenance activities, and repair documentation.
    • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and performance optimization activities.
    • Develop and deliver technical training programs for dealers and provide guidance on service solutions, upgrades, and aftermarket products.
    • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and invoicing related to service and repair activities.

    What you'll bring

    • Recognized mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification.
    • Relevant hands-on experience supporting equipment, maintenance, repairs, or aftermarket service operations.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
    • Strong business aptitude with the ability to understand customer needs and support aftermarket business growth.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
    • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Willingness and ability to undertake local and international travel, including occasional overnight stays and weekend work.
    • Valid driver's license and passport.

    Project Manager, Grinding

    Senior Metallurgist - Beneficiation & Dewatering

    • We are looking for a Senior Metallurgist – Beneficiation & Dewatering to join our Technology Management team in the Africa organization.
    • In this role, you will work as a technical expert in process metallurgy, identifying, evaluating, and developing opportunities within operating brownfield process plants across Africa.
    • Your work will play a key part in improving plant performance, supporting customers, and generating sustainable growth opportunities for Metso.
    • You will report to the Head of Technology Management, Separation & Filtration, Africa.
    • This role is based in Centurion, Gauteng, South Africa, with a hybrid working model.
    • This role includes travel throughout Africa, with customer-facing activities expected approximately 50% of the time.

    What you'll do

    • Conduct high-level audits of beneficiation and dewatering plants, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce energy and reagent consumption, enhance product quality, and support plant debottlenecking initiatives.
    • Plan and execute sampling campaigns, metallurgical test work, and troubleshooting activities.
    • Use advanced data analysis, modelling, and simulation to develop, justify, and present flowsheet improvements and brownfield expansion opportunities.
    • Lead conceptual studies for beneficiation and dewatering plant expansions and collaborate with Technology Managers to develop tailored customer solutions.
    • Identify and qualify opportunities for additional Metso equipment, upgrades, and replacement projects while contributing to spot sales objectives.
    • Build strong customer relationships, represent Metso at international conferences, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Africa.
    • Travel extensively throughout Africa to support customers, site audits, and business development activities

    What you'll bring

    • Matric (Grade 12).
    • Metallurgical Engineering or another relevant engineering degree with exposure to minerals processing and separation technologies.
    • Strong experience working in industrial operations, process plants, or customer-facing technical roles within the mining industry.
    • Strong knowledge of beneficiation, separation, and dewatering processes.
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead metallurgical trials at laboratory, pilot, and industrial scale.
    • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, process modelling, simulation, and technical problem solving.
    • Excellent computer literacy, reporting skills, and the ability to support technical, commercial, sales, and business development activities.
    • Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Customer-focused approach with the ability to translate operational challenges into value-adding business solutions.
    • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform effectively in a matrix organization.
    • Strong attention to detail, initiative, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
