- Lead the development and execution of trade marketing & branding strategies. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between brand awareness and trade execution, ensuring that our brand not only shows up powerfully in-market but also resonates across all trade channels.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or any other related business field, an MBA with a specialization in Marketing or Strategic Management would be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Lead and manage Afrimat Cement’s overall brand positioning, visual identity and voice across all touchpoints.
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen the brand presence in the trade environment.
- Create and implement brand and trade marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
Trade Marketing & Channel Alignment
- Ensure consistent brand visibility and messaging in all retail and trade environments.
- Collaborate closely with sales, distribution, and retail partners to drive channel-specific marketing.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (sales, operations, product) and external partners (retailers, agencies, suppliers).
- Act as the key liaison between the brand team and the commercial/trade teams to ensure alignment and relevance in all trade-facing activities.
Research & Insights
- Conduct regular market research and trade analysis to identify opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends.
- Gather trade and customer feedback to inform campaign development and product positioning
- Monitor competitor activity in the market and proactively adapt strategies
Project Management & Execution
- Oversee execution of all trade and brand marketing projects from concept to roll-out.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skills:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- N3 relevant to Trade.
- Red Seal Trade Test Certificate (Boilermaker).
- Valid RSA driver’s license.

- Conduct route inspections in assigned areas of responsibility to identify defects and generate work orders for the repair work to be scheduled.
- Works closely with the maintenance supervisor by providing necessary information to improve work practices and procedures.
- Fabrication of plate-work for replacement, repairs or modification of existing equipment.
- Construction and erection of approved new installations in the plant.
- Attend breakdowns, investigates root causes of failures and records feedback for the planner to capture them for continuous improvement in systems and procedures.
- Conducts regular maintenance on plants and equipment according to the maintenance plan.
- Participate in major breakdowns and planned shutdowns performing delegated repairs and other tasks for extended periods of overtime.
- Does standby duties on back-shift, public holidays and weekends on a rotational basis with other artisans.
- Maintains good housekeeping standards by keeping the working area neat and tidy.
- Maintains safe working conditions and always follows safe-working practices, ensuring all those around him do the same.
- Participates in safety and environmental improvement programs including near-miss reporting and submitting suggestions for improvement.
- Proposes modifications to equipment for better performance or safety improvements to the Maintenance Supervisor.

- Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical equipment.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment.
- Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyer Belts, Gearboxes, Bearings, Pumps,
- Crushers (4¼ cone crushers, Sandvik cone crushers, Metso HP crushers, Tel smith cone crushers, Osborn 44H, Jaw crushers, VSI Crushers) and Screens.
- Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Executing daily planned task maintenance (PM maintenance scheduling and ensures all mechanical equipment operates to required OPP’s OEE’s)
- Identifying root causes of mechanical dysfunction and repairing same using appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
- Fabricate parts on lath and conduct basic welding as required.
- Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all safety, health and environmental
- (SHE) legislation specifically the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHS Act).
- Fine tuning plant maintenance and repair systems in conjunction with production andengineering staff to ensure optimal plant throughout whilst maintaining required level of plant safety.
- Completion of all required paperwork and submission of all required reports.
- Ensuring a good example of housekeeping, safety standards and leadership.
