    Operational Manager Nursing: PNB3 (PHC)

    Requirements:

    • Matric, plus Diploma/Degree in nursing that allows registration with the SANC as a General Nurse & Midwifery plus post basic nursing qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment. Treatment and care (Primary Health Care) with duration of at least 1 year accredited with SANC.
    • A minimum of 9 years appropriate /recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a professional nurse with SANC. A least 5 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing management. Current registration with the SANC 2025/2026.

    Duties:

    • To plan, organize and monitor the objectives of the PHC facility in the consultation with District Management & Subordinates. Provision of Quality Nursing Care through the implementation of standards, policies and procedures coupled with supervision and monitoring the implementation thereof. To provide a therapeutic environment to staff, patients and the public. To effectively manage the utilization and supervision of human, material and financial resources. Coordination of the provision of effective training and research. Maintain professional growth / ethical standards and self-development. Implement & monitor aspirations of PMDS.
    • Implementation and management of Infection Control and Prevention Protocols as well as Occupational Health & Safety Standards. Maintain accurate and oversee completion of patient records according to legal requirements. Operate and manage relevant District Health Information Management Systems (DHIMS), particularly producing top-end data. To participate in quality improvement programmes and activities. Have insight and be able to conduct Ideal Health Facility Realization assessments. Have deep insight into OHSC processes and prescripts. Conduct periodical clinical audits .
    • Participate in staff & student development activities. Exercise independent control over discipline line, grievance and labour relations issues according to the existing policies and procedures. Identify, develop and exercise management of risk in the work-place. Liaise the Sub-District, District and all other essential stakeholders. Monitor and evaluate the performance of primary health care services and system within the designated services area in line with public health indicators, set norms, standards and targets with a view to report thereon and to initiate corrective action timeously.
    • Analyse health policy and programme imperatives with a view to develop customized implementation strategies to guide the primary health care service providers in the service area towards complying with the stated norms, standards and targets. Identify transversal 'primary' health care and systems barriers (including emerging health trends in the service area) with a view to ensure corrective action at an appropriate level. Ensure and monitor that primary health care services within the designated services area are provided with adequate support by multi-disciplinary teams attached to the CHC/ district hospital as well as from shared corporate service providers attached to the mothering institution.
    • Ensure an integrated approach with the implementation of various primary health care programmes to provide a seamless service delivery platform, including the prioritizing of needs within the service area and the allocation of resources accordingly. Ensure the effective and efficient utilization of allocated resources including the development of staff, budgetary, procurement planning and maintenance and information managements terms.

    Assistant Manager Nursing : PN-A7

    Requirements:

    • Matric, basic qualification accreditation with the SANC in terms of Government Notice 425 (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council.
    • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) Professional Nursing. A minimum of 8 years appropriate/ recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
    • At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable experience at Management Level. Proof of service record endorsed by HR.

    Duties:

    • Delegate, supervise and co-ordinate the provision of effective and efficient patient care through adequate nursing care. Initiate and participate in health promotion to ensure consistent communication of relevant, accurate and comprehensive information on health care.
    • Develop/establish and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders (i.e. inter-professional, inter-sectoral and multi-disciplinary teamwork).

    Clinical Program Coordinator: PN-A5

    Requirements:

    • Matric , Diploma/ Degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse.
    • A minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.     Pharmacist

    Requirements:

    • Matric, appropriate Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree that allows registration with South African Pharmacy Council ( SAPC) as a Pharmacist. Current registration with South African Pharmacy Council ( SAPC)
    • Grade 1: Experience: None after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist in respect to South African qualified employees. One-year relevant experience after registration as a Pharmacist with recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom is not required to perform community service as required in South Africa.
    • Grade 2: Registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist. Experience: Minimum of 5 years after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist in respect to South African qualified employees. required in South Africa.
    • Grade 3: Registration with SAPC as a Pharmacist. Experience: Minimum of 13 years after registration with SAPC as Pharmacist in respect to South African qualified employees.

    Duties:

    • Render a comprehensive, professional and quality pharmaceutical service in the form of support, assistance, execution of duties and performing of acts, in line with relevant policies, standard operational procedures and legislation. Management of pharmaceutical addendums.
    • Ensure availability of medicine stock through drug supply management and stock control principles. Keeping statistics and compiling reports. Ensure compliance with national core standards. Dispense medication to patients and clinics.
    • Management and control of medicine stock. Issuing of stock and scheduled medication, calculating of stock levels, control expired medication and maintain drug registers ( scheduled 5,6 and donation). Reduce risk in pharmacy, compile risk assessment and action plan. Ensure adherence to good pharmacy practice rules and regulations. Training of staff, Pharmacy Assistants, interns, and other pharmacy support personnel.

    Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic)

    Requirements:

    • Registration with the SAPC as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic).
    • Grade 1: Experience: None after registration with the SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic)
    • Grade 2: A minimum of 5 years’ appropriate experience as Pharmacist Assistant after registration as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) with the SAPC.
    • Grade 3: A minimum of 13 years’ appropriate experience as Pharmacist Assistant after registration as a Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) with the SAPC.

    Duties:

    • Assist with the delivery of a good pharmaceutical service to patients. The provision of information to individuals in order to promote health. Assist with the compounding, manipulation, preparation and manufacturing of non-sterile and sterile medicine or scheduled substances according to formulas as SOP’s approved by the responsible pharmacist.
    • Reading and preparation of prescriptions, the selection, manipulation or compounding of the medicine, the labeling and supply of the medicine in appropriate container following the interpretation and evaluation of the prescription by a pharmacist.     Professional Nurse (Specialty )

    Requirements:

    • Matric, Diploma/Degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse plus a post-basic nursing qualification with a duration of at least one year Primary Health Care accredited with SANC. Current registration with SANC. Valid drivers license.

    Experience:

    • Grade 1: A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in Nursing after registration with SANC as Professional Nurse.
    • Grade 2: A minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in Nursing after registration with SANC as Professional Nurse.

    Duties:

    • Manage and support the implementation of the HIV Prevention, Treatment and Care Services in different facilities. Manage and support implementation of HIV Prevention Strategies in line with the guidelines protocols. Implement Combination HIV Prevention services to improve the uptake and reduce new HIV infection.
    • Provide comprehensive package of care to clients accessing care including key and vulnerable populations accessing care. Ongoing support and mentoring for the provision of quality HIV Prevention services.

    Social Worker

    Requirements:

    • Matric and Bachelor of Social Worker as recognised by SAQA. Proof of registration with SACSSP as a social worker. Valid driver's license

    Experience:

    • Grade 1 : None Grade 2 : A minimum 10 years appropriate experience in social worker after registration as a Social Worker with SACSSP.
    • Grade 3 : A minimum of 20 years appropriate experience in social worker after registration as a Social Worker with SACSSP. Work experience/skills in GBV specialized facilities managing sexual gender based violence cases.

    Duties:

    • Provide direct psychosocial support and counselling to survivors of GBV manage cases, and conduct needs assessments. Make referrals for a range of services, including healthcare and legal aid, and ensure effective case management by connecting survivors to support networks. Design and implement awareness campaigns to encourage help-seeking behaviors and educate the community on GBV issues.
    • Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of GBV programs, including life skills training and empowering activities for women, girls and boys. Work with community leaders, other NGOs and stakeholders to advocate for the needs of survivors and strengthen multi-sectoral cooperation.
    • Provide social work services through the promotion of social change and problem solving in human relationships to enhance social wellbeing. Support the implementation of adherence to treatment strategies. Work in multi-disciplinary team to implement health services. Organise and present health promotion and prevention programs.
