About the Role
As a Maintenance Reliability Engineer, you will:
- Lead initiatives to improve the performance and reliability of production assets.
- Collaborate closely with technical and operational teams to identify and deliver efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement long-term, data-driven maintenance strategies.
- Play a key role in advancing our maintenance practices, including expanding the multi-year maintenance plan, refining KPIs, and supporting OEE, RCM, and SMED projects.
- Act as a key user of our Maintenance Management System and provide training for technicians in preventive maintenance
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize production equipment efficiency and reliability through technical analysis and strategic planning.
- Expand and execute the site’s multi-year maintenance plan.
- Lead and support improvement initiatives (RCM, OEE, SMED, 5S).
- Monitor and analyze maintenance KPIs; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Manage asset structure and data in the Maintenance Management System.
- Develop and deliver training for first- and second-line maintenance technicians.
- Provide technical support for equipment investment and procurement projects.
- Translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for cross-functional teams.

Purpose of the Job
- This role is key to ensuring efficient and responsive administrative support for the Finance function.
Job Accountabilities
Finance administration
- Raising requisitions on Coupa for the Finance function - supplies and services
- Approvals on WNS - confirmer queue and buyers’ queue for invoice processing
- GRV's for invoices per procedure
- Liaise with finance about payments, invoices etc.
Cash administration (Petty cash and Forex)
- Manage the petty cash in Rosebank and reconciliation of petty cash monthly
- Forex applications
- Administration of buybacks for international travel
- Obtain reconciliations for forex from SAF travelers and administer timeous close out of outstanding balances
Fleet administration
- Day to day administration for SAF’s fleet of vehicles to include amongst other duties:
- Issuing new fuel cards
- Updating fuel card information (cancellations and additions) Allocations - ensuring the car is at the correct cost centers, driver information etc remains updated
- Tracking devices
- Repair approvals
Credit card administration
- Day to day administration for SAF’s new credit cards to include amongst other duties:
- Issuing new credit cards, administration of limits
- Allocations - ensuring cards are on correct cost centers, employee information etc
- Review of balances monthly to ensure timeous processing by employees and approval by managers through Concur
Company secretarial administration
- Assistance to Regional Financial Controller and Company Secretary with:
- Booking of board meeting
- Board meeting minutes
- Submission of CIPC returns
- Changes to directors
- Board resolutions
- Any Co Sec requests
Travel and Entertainment Support
- Liaise with travel agent on quotes and bookings for travel and accommodation arrangements for the finance team.
- Visa applications for the finance team
- Co-ordination and arrangement of all Finance meetings and events e.g. meeting room bookings, external venue hire, catering etc.
Ad hoc
- Any ad hoc tasks required by the Regional Finance Controller and Finance Director
Technical Competencies

Purpose of the Job
- The Environmental Officer in support to the Environmental Manager is responsible for the coordination, administration and coaching to successfully manage the ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management system to ensure compliance to environmental legislative requirements, alignment to ISO14001:2015 certification standards and drive improvements at the McCain Foods plants for Delmas and Springs relative to the management system
Job Accountabilities
Management of ISO14001:2015 policies, procedures, legislation and regulation for Delmas and Springs
- Monitor environmental compliance to current policies, procedures, registers, legislation and regulation for Delmas and Springs
- Continuous monitoring of updates in legislation which might impact procedures, policies, permits and licensing. Communicate to Environmental Manager
- Attend Environmental Forum meetings
- Renew any environmental licensing / permits before expiration
- Coordinate and schedule environmental surveys based on environmental compliance requirements
- Apply for any updated environmental licensing / permits as and when required

Job Holder Requirements
- National diploma / Degree in Environmental Management
- Approximately 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a food production environment with experience in developing and continuous compliance to ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management systems.
- Minimum 4 years ISO 14001:2015 internal audit experience or exposure
