    Talent Acqisition Specialist (Gauteng)

    Description

    • Ensure organizational effectiveness and client satisfaction through the effective sourcing and placement of suitable candidates Play a critical role in hiring the best possible talent through sourcing strategies as well as developing new and creative ways to build internal and external talent pipelines.

    Requirements
    Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

    Effective recruitment for all relevant vacancies

    • Attend/conduct interviews or competency based interviews as per business requirements
    • Standardise reference checking procedure and interview process flow for the business
    • Draw up and maintain standard reference guides for the business
    • Draw up and maintain guidelines for HR/Line Managers on reference checking
    • Draw up and maintain interview process flow and interview guides for job titles in the business
    • Identify ways to improve current e-recruitment solution
    • Create and maintain an automated recruitment pool of candidates
    • Identify and utilize available recruitment system resources to source suitable candidates
    • Shortlist suitable candidates via processes set in place
    • Monitor quality of recruits and potential candidates
    • Establish and maintain a database of suitable candidates to make reference to when necessary (pipeline)
    • Ensure specified deadlines are adhered to
    • Perform reference checks on applicants as per business requirements
    • Liaise with Service providers to ensure up to date information is provided
    • Resolve queries from Service providers timeously
    • Take a central coordinating role for all the logistics surrounding psychometric assessments for vacant roles
    • Ensure all vacancies on e-recruitment are processed timeously
    • Handle all queries related to e-recruitment

    Effective Talent Acquisition

    • Analyse the Heat Map on required positions and ensure that the recruitment pool can consistently provide candidates for positions on the Heat Map
    • Improve organisation attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and
    • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; conducting training
    • Assist with design attraction strategies aligned with workforce plans and the identification of key, critical and scarce skills and obtain the necessary approvals
    • Optimise talent acquisition processes based on trend analysis and business requirements
    • Review workforce plans and vacancies and identify if all appropriate interventions are in place to support filling the roles with talent within the required timeframes
    • Constantly seek ways and channels to source top talent and build on Smollan’s employer brand

    Effective Reporting

    • Monitor and provide feedback on processes and procedures
    • Provide feedback through reports and communication to relevant stakeholders
    • Keep abreast of trends and developments
    • Communicate insights to relevant stakeholders
    • Identify problems and make recommendations to improve processes and procedures
    • Compilation of monthly reports for presentation at Exco
    • Compilation of monthly reports for the Group HR forum

    Effective Self-Management

    • Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained
    • Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures
    • Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands

    What are we looking for?

    • Relevant Diploma/Degree at NQF level 6 or 7
    • 5-6 years recruitment experience, preferably as an in-house specialist (working with technical specialist)
    • Agency experience (executive search) preferable
    • Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures related to recruiting, advertising and on-boarding
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet, and various Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS applications
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Capacity to adapt to change in a fast-paced atmosphere.
