    Major Accountabilities

    • Provide guidance related to running styles, comfort, movement patterns, and general biomechanics

    Education & Retail Team Training

    • Conduct technical product training for store staff to increase confidence and product knowledge
    • Act as the Brooks subject matter expert within assigned stores
    • Support ongoing education around running performance, footwear innovation, and category trends

    Brand Representation & Community Engagement

    • Represent Brooks at races, running clubs, community activations, product launches, and sporting events
    • Build relationships within local running and endurance sport communities
    • Support initiatives that strengthen Brooks’ presence among runners and athletes

    Sales & Retail Excellence

    • Drive achievement of sales targets through authentic consumer engagement and product advocacy
    • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to increase market share
    • Support merchandising standards, seasonal launches, promotions, and product visibility
    • Monitor stock levels and identify opportunities to improve sell-through

    Reporting & Territory Management

    • Maintain accurate reporting on store visits, sales activity, training sessions, and market feedback

    REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

    We are looking for individuals who are:

    • Currently studying or qualified in Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Biokinetics, Exercise Science, Human Movement Science, or related disciplines (advantageous)
    • Passionate about running, athletics, endurance sports, health, fitness, or rehabilitation
    • Active participants in running communities, gyms, sports clubs, or athletic environments (advantageous)
    • Interested in applying sports performance knowledge in a consumer-facing environment
    • Strong communicators with the ability to simplify technical concepts
    • Comfortable educating and influencing consumers and retail teams

    Payroll Officer 1

    Description

    • As a Payroll Officer I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our Payroll department. Your main mission will be to ensure that employee information is received, validated, and processed accurately and on time for payment, all while adhering to group policies and procedures.

    As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:

    Input Processing:

    • Collect salary input documents required, and follow up on outstanding documents
    • Scrutinise salary documents for abnormalities
    • Compare input submitted is aligned to CRS to ensure salary documents are accounted for and
    • completed as per company policy
    • Ensure all abnormalities and incomplete documents are logged on HR query list
    • Prepare documents for processing
    • Process input documents and capture onto payroll system
    • Ensure input is captured accurately and on time, and take corrective action when necessary
    • Ensure timeous action taken relating to finalization of queries
    • Ensure adherence to all deadlines and company procedures and policies
    • Ensure the ability to provide context and detail when calculating
    • Ensure availability of documents captured within the applicable month if and when queried

    Salary Administration:

    • Provide feedback to employees and management regarding queries within 48 hours
    • Report abnormalities to line manager for clarification
    • Highlight departmental input and effectiveness/ errors
    • Resolve salary clearing queries and provide feedback to Management
    • Load payments (EFT’s) and ensure payroll runs as per deadline dates
    • Ensure all stop payments and recalls are done by deadline date and are accompanied by reversals if and when necessary
    • Ensure reversals of payments are done within the applicable month to ensure corrective action taken for recalls
    • Run General Ledger and ensure it balances to Payrun total report

    Payroll Reports:

    • Scrutinize all exception error reports, correct immediately and provide feedback to Senior Payroll Officer
    • Ensure the continuous checking and correction of reports to minimize month end queries
    • Ensure all reports are approved and signed-off
    • Maintain audit requirements
    • Ensure that contract dates are accurate

    Benefits Administration:

    • Maintain effective records to ensure proof can be provided regarding submissions and payment to 3rd parties
    • Manage Garnishee’s queries to be dealt with directly
    • Ensure UI19 documents are generated immediately upon receipt of termination documents
    • Ensure terminations are updated on Garnishee and Medical Aid tracker

    Requirements
