    Input Trade Marketer - VKB Retail, Underberg

    About the Role

    • We’re looking for an Input Trade Marketer who will drive growth, strategy, and profitability across VKB’s full basket of products – including seed, fertilizer, crop protection, animal feed, animal health products, fencing, fuel, and packaging material.

    This role is about more than sales. It’s about:

    • Building meaningful, lasting farmer relationships.
    • Finding innovative ways to market and promote the VKB basket of products and services.
    • Bringing creativity to farmer engagement – whether that’s organising product days, leveraging data insights, finding small but impactful ways to connect on-farm, or collaborating across VKB teams to unlock new opportunities.
    • Always focusing on sustainable business growth that adds value to both the farmer and VKB.

    What We’re Looking For

    • Grade 12 / NQF4 qualification
    • Tertiary qualification in a related field; (SAAHA/AVCASA) certification advantageous
    • 5+ years’ proven experience in a similar marketing role
    • Demonstrated success in marketing & sales initiatives
    • Strong administrative skills 
    • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and think outside the box

    Job Description

    • The ideal team player will be a highly organised and proactive individual to provide vital administrative support to our General Manager, Management Team and their departments.     Distribution Manager - VKB Milling, Frankfort

    Job Description

    • Are you a hands-on logistics pro who knows how to get things moving — on time and on budget? We are looking for an organised, energetic, and experienced Distribution Manager to join our team at VKB Milling Frankfort.
    • You’ll be the go-to person for making sure our wheat and flour products get delivered safely, quickly, and efficiently across the country.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Daily planning and scheduling of VKB Milling transport needs with external Transport Contractors according to orders as well as plant and product availability.
    • Daily correspondence with customers to ensure orders are captured timeously and accurately, and to ensure a high level of service delivery
    • Scheduling drivers and fleet in advance to optimise loads, routes and personnel productivity.
    • Working with the production department to ensure orders get out in time
    • Improve on the efficiency of the fleet by optimal load scheduling and communication with Transport Contractors.
    • Drive down cost by ensuring proper negotiation of transport costs and by keeping record of fleet efficiency, fuel consumption per vehicle.
    • Communicate with external contractors to ensure the timeous delivery of feed.
    • Ongoing communication with departments within the business, personnel, marketers, clients, drivers and contractors to give feedback with regards to deliveries. 
    • Weekly and monthly reporting to Business Unit Manager aa s well as Commercial Director

    Skills and Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years Logistic Management experience within the FMCG environment.
    • A tertiary qualification in Logistics- or Supply Chain Management would be preferable.

    • MS Office Package with a strong focus on Excel

    • Ability to work under pressure
