    Financial Markets Trainee x2 - Catapult Programme 2026 (Johannesburg)

    Job Description

    • This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounting / Finance / Actuarial Science / Financial Mathematics /Economics graduate with a ‘can do’ attitude, who delivers beyond what is expected of them and is keen to demonstrate their passion for the financial markets to get well rounded exposure in the investment industry.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Dealing with matters escalated by the dealing team
    • Compiling morning reports
    • Compiling market structure reports
    • Execution of client orders
    • Attend to all client queries
    • Perform settlement process
    • Amendments of any incorrect allocations or bookings
    • Monitoring of all settlements
    • Advise traders of any Profit & Loss (P&L) on positions
    • Document onboarding processes
    • Complete onboarding processes as necessary

    • BCom, BBus Sci, CFA, Act Sci, Engineering
    • Any degree majoring in accounting, investments, finance, economics or mathematics

    Data Analyst Trainee x2 - Catapult Programme 2026 (Johannesburg)

    Job Description

    • This role involves utilizing statistical and analytical methods to extract and analyze data and process it into meaningful data solutions for clients. This is your opportunity to upskills on machine learning and data analysis within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and enhance skills in database design principles, mastering the use of SQL for querying databases, and effectively managing database systems.
    • Data mining, extraction, and reconciliation from various data sources
    • Analyzing and collating large amounts of information to find patterns and solutions
    • Processing, cleansing, and validating the integrity of data to be used for analysis.
    • Assist with the update and maintenance of internal Technology catalogue and process register.
    • Assist with Business Analysis, and process documentation as instructed.
    • Generate reports and presentations that effectively communicate data-driven insights to various stakeholders, including the Exco Team.
    • Stay updated with the latest developments in data analysis, machine learning, and financial markets to identify opportunities for innovation and improvements within the organization.
    • Engage with various teams in the business to enhance your knowledge across the various asset classes, which will enable you to optimize data analysis and requirements.
    • Ad-Hoc requests as and when required

    • Relevant tertiary qualification: Honours/master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or Finance.
