    Senior Specialist Compensation and Benefits SSA

    Role Context

    Implement and maintain effective DHL Sub Saharan Africa Compensation and Benefits programs and plans in alignment with the overall global and regional DHL HR strategy and corporate DPDHL guidelines. Conduct job evaluation, C&B analysis and market benchmarking to align employee pay levels with the external and internal value of jobs as well as employees performance in line with business needs, reward philosophy and plans, best practices and local legal requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Actively support the Compensation & Benefits Director SSA with the implementation of compensation and benefit (C&B) programs and reward policies that are aligned with the company's business objectives for all staff levels across SSA (40+ countries). This will include at least the following:
    • Provide day-to-day administrative support, focus on addressing immediate C&B tasks / interactions / issues to set standards and instructions
    • Ensure that C&B policies are adhered to
    • Co-ordinate the development of role profiles, evaluations, and job grading process for SSA roles in RCS grades I and below
    • Supervise the collection of data about company's C&B policies and practices for participation in surveys
    • Conduct job analysis and evaluation, salary administration, analysis of C&B surveys and obtain all necessary information in order to support with the preparation of pay structures and compensation and budget proposals.
    • Analyse legislative, market and actuarial trends and projections
    • Provide Data analytics and reporting from a variety of systems to provide analysis and auditing of C&B process data for the division
    • Provide consulting on C&B matters (e.g., benchmarking, analysis, salary review, policy interpretation etc.) for HR and Business Managers.
    • Support and co-ordinate the annual salary review and incentive processes
    • Document and communicate C&B polices and guides
    • Provide input and cost analysis for personnel costs budgeting process
    • Project manage C&B projects as required. Provide specialist C&B knowledge and input for such projects.
    • Support the management and co-ordination of mobility across SSA
    • Support the management of the regional office payroll
    • Co-ordinate C&B audit requirements, both internal and external audit
    • Prepare and communicate dashboards based on analysis of C&B data to stakeholders
    • Deliver training to stakeholders to enable continuous improvement
    • Contribute to an effective communication and knowledge sharing on C&B related matters for various stakeholders with regards to policies, procedures and guidelines
    • Convince other subject matter experts to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
    • May cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
    • Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with DPDHL managers
    • Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
    • Provide technical guidance to line managers and employees

    Minimum Requirements

    Educational Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • C&B certification

    • C&B Specialist experience, more than 6 years and across multiple SSA countries

    Program Delivery Manager (18 month FTC)

    Role Context

    Responsible for the delivery/implementation/rollout of all functional applications across the Western Africa Zonal area, ensuring a sustainable business performance. Manage, plan, lead and organize these programs in conjunction with the lead functional resources in country, in addition, provide onsite training and handover activities as and when required. Manage performance improvement programs maximizing both the effective processing and improve productivity within the workforce and the facilities. This includes accountability for customer relationship management, employee development, sound corporate governance and internal processes which is critical to the integration of DHL Express into a cohesive and sustainable business

    Key responsibilities

    • In conjunction with country and area functional resources and Country management, manage, define and implement actions to achieve the successful implementation, service and quality performances. Initiate, support and follow-up corrective actions where & when needed.
    • Be party to regional initiatives & support country initiatives aimed in achieving planned objectives in respect to all programs in a given period.
    • Act as the primary interface between country and area functional management,
    • Understand the local constraints and what is to be done to overcome to achieve the program objective
    • Promote and support best-practice knowledge transfer.
    • Manage the implementation of contingency plans when required by engaging with the Service Management teams
    • Availability of required skills with excellent understanding of business.

    • Lead the management of Training requirements in all areas
    • Business Requirements Management; ensuring country requirements are validated, articulated in business-case terms, and represented to regional IS program management via the established governance process (incl GPPRB)
    • Application Landscape Simplification via reduction of in-country local systems/extensions and Convergence onto core current EGAP releases
    • Institutionalize continuous quality improvement via ongoing Root Cause Analysis and Eradication. Have full awareness and be Point of escalation in service failure situations. Proactive management and stakeholder communication of incidents.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education & experience

    • Minimum 5 years Express BIT programs delivery experience in an international environment.
    • 3 years of self-managed delivery of projects
    • Scrum/ PRINCE2 certified
    • Forwarding business
    • Excellent cross functional process knowledge.
    • Strong knowledge on BIT program inter-dependencies
    • Strong Project Management Skills
    • University Degree in Business Administration or other.
    • Strong interpersonal skills
