    Analyst Developer - Graphite

    Specific Role Responsibilities 

    Analysis & Design 

    • Collaborate with analyst tester and developer colleagues to create user story definitions and acceptance criteria. 
    • Work within the constraints of the feature/user story to define the underlying design required to deliver these changes. 
    • Ensure the solution is well defined and fit-for-purpose.  It must meet the requirements and work end-to-end.  This will require a solid understanding of the underlying business processes involved in and surrounding the change. 
    • Provide solutions and recommendations for the resolution of technical issues that arise and ensure solutions meet the technical specs and design requirements. 
    • Help design and build APIs and external system interfaces for integration into core FNZ products and third-party vendor applications. 

    Development 

    • Interpret complex financial business requirements and translate into high-transactional, high-availability, secure, working systems. 
    • Design and build the highly intuitive user interface and interactive financial tools required by financial advisers and investors. 
    • Develop real-time workflow processing systems that support large volumes of trades every day in investment markets. 
    • Work closely with our Solution Consultants and Analyst Testers to design and implement new functionality for our major institutional customers around the world. 
    • Collaborate with other developers to make sure that the solutions developed are robust, secure, reusable, maintainable and in-line with the requirements. 
    • Able to build medium complexity features end-end. 
    • Continually develop an understanding of the business functionality of FNZ platforms 

    Quality 

    • Adhere to the defined procedures for code management, code reviews, coding standards, naming conventions and security standards. 
    • Write automated unit tests for any newly created code; and 
    • Perform manual testing to ensure any changes made to the system are of a high standard and the system hasn’t regressed. 
    • Perform code reviews for other developers, when required, to ensure that proposed changes meet quality and best practice standards. 

    Collaboration / Communication 

    • Promote the development team both internally and externally. Ensure that creative solutions, tight code, tough problems solved are called out appropriately to the developer community, and where they lead to visible outcomes, to the broader FNZ teams and clients. 
    • Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge, best practices, useful technology, and opportunities for cross-project system design / solutions. 
    • Mentor new starters to ensure they understand both platform and SDLC. 
    • Provide solution centre-wide training, as required, on topics of personal expertise. 

    Technology 

    • Keep abreast of latest and/or relevant technologies, tools and methods. Identify adoption of technology, tools and methods best suited to FNZ. 
    • Proactively resolve technical (environmental, coding and testing) issues that impede development progress. Assist in the resolution of technical issues when requested by other developers. 
    • Create novel solutions to problems by incorporating cutting edge technology or generic concepts. 

    Experience required 

    • First class bachelor’s degree or higher and/or equivalent experience.  
    • Confident, and able to take initiative in a delivery-focused environment.

    Platform Administrator - JHB

    Educational Requirements (Educational / academic qualifications)

    • Matric (Mathematics literacy and or Accountancy required)
    • Studying towards a financial tertiary qualification is advantageous

    Job Objectives / Key Performance Areas: 

    Quality Control:

    • To ensure all relevant information and/or supporting documentation is received and attached to the instruction in accordance with the Business Rules.
    • To ensure clients / brokers are FICA / FAIS compliant.
    • To ensure indexed instructions are processed appropriately.
    • Reject any incomplete instructions after QC & be “on-alert” for any suspicious transactions and report when necessary. 
    • To ensure all instructions are QC’d and Captured within the turnaround time as per the Service Level Agreement(s) SLA.
    • To ensure all cut off times are adhered to within the Service Level Agreement(s) SLA.
    • To ensure queue monitoring is performed.
    • To ensure instructions are finalized promptly and legally compliant.
    • To ensure all daily, weekly and monthly reports are completed accurately and timeously.

    Capture/Processing:

    • To accurately capture client instruction(s) on the system e.g.: new business, additions, switches, transfers, consolidations, advisor details, investor details etc.
    • To check / verify static information (investor’s personal information) , incomes and debit orders etc. have been accurately captured according to client instruction(s) in addition to the switch instruments being correct

    General Responsibilities:

    • To take full responsibility and ownership for all tasks.
    • To adhere to the Knowledge Enabler (KE) and Prudential Investment Guidelines (PIGS) prompts via the system.
    • To acknowledge, investigate and learn from any / all errors that may or may not result in backdate(s).
    • To ensure all queries are resolved within the specific turnaround times.
    • To provide training to new team members
    • To ensure that all communication both telephonically and written is delivered in a professional manner
    • To understand and adhere to cut-off times.
    • To build / maintain relationships with fellow team members and other departments.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT)
    • Participate in projects
    • To provide a service of excellence to internal and external clients
    • To pull and check daily weekly and monthly reports and take appropriate action

    Prior Work Experience / Background:

    • Minimum of 2 years recent working experience within a financial administrative environment
    • Working experience as a data capture, where stringent quality standards have been applied
    • Experience with LISP products and administration.
    • Knowledge of FICA and FAIS regulations.

    Technical / Special Requirements (PC Skills / Product Knowledge / Specific Competencies)

    • Workflow system experience
    • Experience with MS office (word, excel and outlook)
    • Data capture skills with a high accuracy rate
    • Maths literacy and or accounting skills.
    • A knowledge of unit trusts and model portfolios/hedge funds

    Technical Analyst

    Specific Role Responsibilities

    • Be an expert in the Model Wealth Solution.
    • Document bespoke customer requirements.

    Experience required

    Preferred Industry Knowledge:

    • Experience in consulting, technical analysis owner roles.
    • Knowledge of investment/wealth/Unit Trust and/or pensions products.
    • Expertise in the functional areas of the FNZ domain.
    • Understanding of regulatory environment and change requirements.
    • At least 5 to 8 years wealth management industry experience.

    Required Knowledge & Skills:

    • 1st class degree or equivalent experience.
    • Ability to establish an environment of continuous improvement.
    • Confident and able to take initiative in a client- and delivery-focused environment.
    • Independent, self-directing, and delivery-focused working style.
    • Superior analytical thinking.
