    Instrumentation Superintendent X2

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Manage and supervise the Instrumentation Department to ensure optimal plant performance and reliability;
    • Ensure the maintenance, calibration, and optimisation of all instrumentation and control systems within the smelter;
    • Lead preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to minimise downtime;
    • Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and engineering standards;
    • Manage and develop the instrumentation team, including artisans, technicians;
    • Provide technical support for smelting furnaces or Pelletising plant process control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems;
    • Participate in shutdown planning, plant upgrades, projects and continuous improvement initiatives;
    • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and procurement requirements;
    • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and engineering standards; and
    • Support operational teams in improving process efficiency and plant availability.

    About you:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation / Electrical, Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering;
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Factories will be advantageous.
    • Qualification and training in data system and management will be advantageous
    • Strong automation and implementation of current technologies within the instrumentation environment will be advantageous
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an instrumentation role within a smelting, mining, or heavy industrial environment;
    • At least 3 years’ supervisory or management experience;
    • Strong knowledge of PLC systems, SCADA systems, process control, and industrial instrumentation;
    • Experience with Siemens PLC systems will be advantages;
    • Experience in a ferrochrome or pyrometallurgical smelting environment will be advantageous; and
    • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

    Engineering Manager

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Provide strategic leadership to the engineering and maintenance departments;
    • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of Metal Extraction and Pelletising plant equipment;
    • Manage electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation maintenance functions;
    • Ensure compliance with OHSA, statutory regulations, and engineering standards;
    • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, asset management plans, and reliability improvements;
    • Lead and manage shutdown planning and execution for major maintenance activities;
    • Oversee capital projects, plant upgrades, and engineering improvements;
    • Manage engineering budgets, procurement of critical spares;

    About you:

    • Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering;
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC Factories) – essential;
    • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in heavy industry or smelting operations;
    • Extensive experience in ferrochrome or similar submerged arc furnace operations;
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior engineering leadership role; and
    • Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems, asset reliability, and engineering governance.

    Electrical Superintendent

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Manage the entire electrical value chain from the high voltage substation down to the low voltage applications;
    • Manage and supervise the electrical maintenance team;
    • Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems on submerged arc furnaces;
    • Plan and coordinate predictive, preventative and breakdown maintenance;
    • Maintain HV and LV systems, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, all protection schemes and furnace control systems;
    • Ensure compliance with OHSA, safety standards, and company procedures;
    • Coordinate electrical activities during plant shutdowns and projects;
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrical failures; and
    • Management of the department and related projects at the operation.

    About you:

    • National Diploma/ Degree in Electrical Engineering;
    • GCC (Factories) will be advantageous;
    • 5 Years experience in heavy industry or smelting operations;
    • Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience;
    • Experience with submerged arc furnace electrical systems in ferrochrome or similar smelting environments; and
    • Knowledge of HV distribution, transformers, PLC systems, and furnace control systems.

    Officer (Environmental) Jnr, Fixed Term Contract

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation
    • To report environmental incidents and assist to conduct investigations.
    • Conduct plant inspections and ensure that deviations are addressed.

    Artisan Coordinator (Engineering) - Fixed Term Contract

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Maintaining and adhering to the Mine Health and Safety Act
    • To ensure that all SAP PM and MM requirements be met for the Mechanical and Electrical engineering of the project

    • Continuously engage in efforts to improve on-time deliveries, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide superior service to the operations. 

    About you:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Degree or Diploma with Supply Chain Management and or Commercial procurement subjects will be advantageous
    • At least five (5) years’ experience as a Technical Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the plant equipment or related industry.
    • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of plant equipment, machinery, and technical specifications. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
    • Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
    • Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse technical documents, specifications, and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Project Management: Experience in managing multiple procurement projects simultaneously and working to deadlines.
    • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage complex purchasing processes and contracts.
    • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Coupa) or equivalent systems.

    Supervisor (Construction), Fixed Term Contract

    • As a member of a hardworking, proactive, and committed team who are responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of the mining operations including but not limited to safety, personnel, training, and development activities.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • The incumbent will report to the Project Construction Manager and be responsible for all functions relating to the position Supervisor (Construction), the role’s purpose is to supervise the construction team and participate in tasks to deliver quality results within a specified timeframe for construction targets.
    • Duties would include but not limited to be accountable for the control and coordination of the specific area of production and civil construction duties of the team.
    • Compliance with the company’s HSEC system is essential
    • Ensuring implementation of management decisions, legal requirements, and the company standards/policies. 

    About you:

    • Grade 12
    • Formal Civil and/or building works related qualification will be an advantage.
    • Training certificates in civil and building works would be advantageous.
    • Certificates for legal liability and HIRA would be advantageous.
    • Proficient in English written language

    • At least 5 - 10 years’ previous experience in the construction industry dealing with earthworks, civils, structural, mechanical and piping installations.
    • Must have ability to read and understand civil, structural and piping drawings, iso’s including reinforcing schedules.
    • Have experience as a concrete hand (placing, compacting, and finishing of concrete)
    • Have experience in the erection of shutters (levelling, propping, cleaning, and installing corner fillets)
    • Have experience in reinforcing (placing, binding, and supporting of mesh and rebar)
    • Have experience with structural erection.
    • Have experience with HDPE and Steel piping fabrication and installations.
    • Have working at heights experience. (Training will be an advantage)
    • Must have proven track record of previous project works
    • Must have construction safety experience to complete dsti’s, mind joggers and risk assessments
    • Must have experience to do GCOMs to coach and upskilling team members in Glencore HSEC systems and procedures, modular plant construction, behavioural bases safety approach to HSEC.
    • Must be a team player and be able to work well with others in coaching, guiding and development of team members
    • Computer Literacy.

    HRD (TMM) Facilitator

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Ensure training and assessments are conducted within the required time frame;
    • Perform regular PTO’s to identify gaps in training areas;
    • Continuously follow up on-the-job training delivered at the Training Centre to ensure it is relevant and applied in operations;
    • Understand the operation of underground machines;
    • Understand and interpret the procedure and policies of underground machines; and
    • Ensure documentation complies with ISO 9001 and all relevant company policies, procedures and standards.

    • Moderator , Train-the-Trainer and Competent B Certificate;
    • Two years ‘training / coaching experience in a TMM Environment, including operating underground TMMs (e.g., LHD. Drill Rig/Roof Bolter);

    • Medical fit to work underground

    Coordinator (Projects)

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • To work in close relationship with the appointed contractor
    • Assist in ordering material and deliveries thereof
    • Supervise daily activities and the quality of the work being carried out, assuring building standards are met
    • Administration and updating of project schedule and bar chart
    • Adhere to all HSEC requirements
    • Report daily to the projects engineer
    • To ensure working procedures are updated, and adhered to according to set standards
    • Maintain housekeeping in active project area/s and maintain high safety standards according to company and legal requirements.

    About you:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
    • Project Management Diploma or qualified artisan (mechanical/Electrical) with civil work experience.
    • Knowledge of or experience in building regulations requirements.
    • Good Knowledge of the HSEC systems
    • At least 5-7 years’ experience in the Civils (Projects) environment
    • Good understanding of the OHSA, with reference to the Construction regulations.
