    Electrician

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Relevant Trade Certificate
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as an underground electrician
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on medium voltage (MV) networks/systems including substations, switchgear, mini substations, etc
    • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment

    Key Competencies:

    • Proven track record in safety leadership
    • Proven interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
    • Independent, proactive thinker and ability to schedule and deliver work within tight deadlines
    • Experience in working with low and medium voltage systems
    • Demonstrated experience with legal inspections of electrical installations
    • Proven track record of production achievements
    • Require to undergo further training and development on Winders and related Infrastructure and equipment, etc

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure health and safety of self and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures in all planning and execution of maintenance activities
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, and Company standards
    • Contribute to a culture of zero harm by adhering to all requirements as laid down by legislation, health, safety, environmental, security policies, and procedures, and by the application of specific instructions to own work area and task completion
    • Ensuring that condition monitoring of equipment, scheduled and planned maintenance is conducted timeously and effectively
    • Conduct repairing, maintenance and construction of MCC’s, substations, crushers, conveyors and general maintenance in and around the Shaft
    • Repair breakdowns as they occur and assist with expansions and construction of new equipment installations
    • Align with planned maintenance schedules, including maintenance of relevant records for all winder and electrical equipment and electrical installations in area of responsibility
    • Promote and develop team work to become an affective team member
    • Timely response to breakdown management, conduct appropriate root cause analysis and diagnosis
    • Conduct expansion and construction of new equipment or installations as per works order
    • Identify spares requirements and book against the maintenance defect log system
    • Work overtime, standby and be available for callouts should the need arise

    Lead Specialist Org Des & Perf Management

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational design strategies aligned to the Company’s goals and regulatory requirements globally.
    • Conduct a comprehensive organisational assessment to identify areas of improvements and efficiency.
    • Partner with executives, people leaders including functional heads to understand and address their organisational design performance management needs.
    • Design, implement and govern a global job architecture and career path framework.
    • Establish and embed labour planning capabilities that align workforce supply with future business demand.
    • Develop tools and processes for goal setting, performance appraisal, feedback and development planning on a consistent and equitable  basis.
    • Ensure all performance management practices comply with local and international regulations, particularly in safety, environmental, and the applicable labour laws.
    • Continuously review and update the performance management framework in response to evolving business needs and regulatory landscapes across  jurisdictions.
    • Leverage performance data and analytics to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and provide insights into organisational health and areas for improvement. 

    Key factors to your success include:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in performance management, organisation design, organisational development, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in a global organisation, preferably within the mining or a similarly regulated industry.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to interpret performance data and trends.
    • Proficiency in performance management software and other HR technologies.
    • Ability to think strategically and align performance management practices with organisational goals.
    • Adapt approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
    • Maintain a working understanding of the assets and their stakeholders through visits to the sites.
