    Sales Representative - Wine

    • To ensure strong and visible presence within the wine market by defending and growing its customer base through consistent, on-the-ground engagement. This role focuses on delivering regular service to all wine customers outside the Top 20 key accounts, ensuring no customer segment is neglected.
    • The Wine Sales Representative is responsible for actively visiting existing and potential wine industry customers, bottling facilities, and relevant industry stakeholders to secure new business opportunities, strengthen existing relationships, and recover lapsed or lost customers. Through proactive market coverage and relationship management, the role supports sustainable growth and long-term brand positioning within the wine sector.

    Responsibilities:

    Sales & Business Development

    • Build and manage customer relationships with regular service calls.
    • Conduct regular client visits to increase visibility.
    • Present product ranges, technical information, pricing, and new innovations.
    • Identify, pursue, and secure new wine customers.

    Customer Relationship Management

    • Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to enquiries or complaints.

    Industry developments and market movements.

    • Recommend new product shapes, lightweight options, or enhancements based on customer feedback.

    Technical Knowledge & Support

    • Advise customers on bottle specifications, and technical considerations.
    • Work with KAM to resolve product issues in terms of operations, logistics, and quality teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Matric/Grade 12.
    • Sales or Wine related qualification will be advantageous.

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the South African wine industry OR in wine-related sales.
    • Experience working at a winery, tasting room, cellar, distributor, or wine supplier.
    • Strong knowledge of South African wine regions and wine farms.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and customer call reporting.

    Advantageous

    • Existing network of contacts within the wine industry.
    • Prior sales experience in glass packaging, closures, labels, or related industries.
    • Technical understanding of bottling lines and packaging requirements.

    Payroll Administrator

    Job purpose

    Export Practitioner

    MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • Effective planning of MHH production schedule and distribution logistics in line with the sales plan.

    BACKGROUND INFORMATION REGARDING THE JOB

    •  In this position, the job incumbent will be part of the Marketing team. At MMC, the MHH section performs the value-added activities of EMM flake washing and degassing, EMM powder and briquette production, as well as packaging of the final products into bulk bags, small bags, boxes or drums, according to customer specification. Over 95% of MMC’s customers are based overseas. Sales are conducted on both direct shipment basis, as well as ex-warehouse delivery basis.
    • In this position, the job incumbent is responsible for scheduling these production activities in accordance with the sales concluded by our sales managers. Orders to be produced and shipped to customers in locations such as Europe, Japan, South America, or the US, for arrival in a specific week several months into the future and must be planned according to the throughput parameters of the MHH section, as well as the availability and transit times of the logistics service providers. The logistics service providers include road transport, customs, port authorities, shipping lines and overseas warehouses.
    • The job incumbent will be the co-ordinator that ensures alignment of our sales orders, our production team and the logistics pipeline, with the sole purpose of customer service excellence. MMC’s Marketing-MHH team offers a very dynamic working environment, where the person will be part of the daily excitement of delivering the world’s highest quality EMM to customers all over the world, directly from the lovely town of Nelspruit.

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    Key Account Manager

    Purpose:

    • The Fibre Direct Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling Fixed products, including Fibre and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA). The role involves actively engaging with potential customers in designated territories (areas of opportunities identified) to drive market penetration, increase customer adoption, and achieve sales growth targets. Recruitment is required from the region to ensure strong local representation and market understanding.
