    Product Manager (Remittance)

    As our Product Manager you will:

    • Be obsessed with customers! Understand what matters most to our customers.
    • Monitor metrics which matter and prioritise features to improve the experience and lives of our customers
    • Facilitate requirements gathering, and problem solving with business champions, stakeholders, and most importantly customers
    • Continuously over-communicate within teams, across teams, and across the business to enable clear and simple understanding of goals, progress, and challenges
    • Provide visibility on expected delivery, including delays, blockers, and dependencies, to align on and manage expectations, and enable predictable delivery and coordination across the business
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Architects, Tech Leads, Data, DevOps, and Quality Engineers to coordinate delivery and dependencies
    • Develop practical specifications that effectively translate business problem statements into high-level technical solutions that are actionable by Agile development teams. This includes working with Design on prototypes and wireframes, and developing process flows
    • Coordinate product demos, gather feedback and ideas, and support training and communications for delivery of new products, features, and enhancements to internal stakeholders, partners, and customers
    • NOT be a backlog manager. 

    In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:

    Senior QA Engineer

    As our Senior QA Engineer you will:

    • Take part in refining new features and analysing requirements
    • Understand the technical implementation and suggest test strategies to the team
    • Develop test cases and come up with test plans
    • Support the rest of the QA team and DevOps in implementing automated regression test coverage for new and existing features and integrating them into our build pipelines.

    In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:

    • Onboard all our tools and processes, and familiarise yourself with the various teams and departments at Mama Money.
    • Develop a deep understanding of what Mama Money does, and what your team does, from the point of view of our customers.
    • Work in your team, advocating quality, writing and performing tests as needed to deliver functionality
    • Have one on ones with your line manager, and develop a training and career growth plan based on your personal goals, as well as the needs of the business.
    • Regularly give and receive feedback, and suggest improvements.

    About you:

    • You have strong demonstrable testing skills and the ability to operate efficiently as part of a high performing, multi-disciplinary team. 
    • You have strong experience in software testing, particularly from an API layer point of entry and also testing of front-end for mobile applications.
    • You have an analytical mindset with regards to testing and developing robust, effective and self-documenting test scenarios.
    • You have strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and can confidently advocate for quality within the team.
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication so you will be able to gather requirements from whatever sources are available; identify and highlight problems with ambiguous requirements.
    • You have an interest in test automation, and see the benefits of automating early and often.
    • You are passionate about your testing craft and excited about creating a culture of software quality excellenc
    • The skills & tools you will need to use or be interested in using:
    • Skilled in performing exploratory testing and, a good eye for identifying bugs that can lead to a negative user experience.
    • Prior exposure or a keen interest to learn Test automation (our current framework of choice is PostMan, but experience in any similar API testing framework is fine).
    • Skilled with SQL and tools for interacting with relational databases (such as DBeaver, SQL Server, MySQL Workbench, etc.)
    • Experience with using Git or similar version control systems
    • Experience working with cloud platforms e.g AWS, Azure, GCP. Knowledge of the AWS ecosystem (e.g. EC2 Systems, RDS databases, SQS Queues and API Gateways) is bonus.
    • Experience with Postman, in particular the use of JavaScript to update Postman scripts and, the capacity and willingness to learn new tools and skills
    • Experience working in an Agile environment: Scrum / Kanban / Scrumban
    • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple threads of work at once, and to effectively reprioritise based on shifting business needs
    • The ability to troubleshoot the source of bugs and report efficiently

    Financial Crime Manager

    As our Financial Crime Manageryou will be responsible for:

    AML Program Management:

    • Oversee AML team activities, including investigations, regulatory reporting, and customer/payment screening.
    • Develop and maintain agent and partner due diligence processes.
    • Evaluate risks associated with clients, financial instruments, and services, updating systems and procedures accordingly.
    • Align the AML program with regulatory changes and business strategy.
    • Review and update AML policies and procedures as needed.
    • Provide guidance on corrective measures and inform senior management of policy application shortcomings.

    Corridor Analysis and Training:

    • Assist in corridor analysis and develop/review corridor-specific AML Red Flags.
    • Facilitate an annual employee training program on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing prevention.
    • Identify departments and employees requiring further training and education.

    Fraud Management:

    • Collaborate with legal and law enforcement to plan and execute fraud case resolutions.
    • Conduct suspect interviews, analyze documents and financial data, and direct fraud unit operations.
    • Provide professional recommendations to limit fraud risks for business establishments.
    • Support negotiations and recovery processes.
    • Design and implement effective fraud prevention processes.
    • Manage day-to-day activities of the fraud investigations team

    Fraud Prevention and Technical Expertise:

    • Establish and enforce rule configurations based on fraudulent activities.
    • Oversee various lines of defence against fraud and lead fraud investigations.
    • Analyse data and trends for proactive fraud prevention.
    • Develop a strategic approach to fraud mitigation, transitioning from reactive to proactive measures.
    • Collaborate with technical experts to implement effective anti-fraud measures.

    Technical Leadership:

    • Utilise systems thinking and data analysis for informed decision-making.
    • Own the implementation, management, and enhancement of compliance systems.
    • Drive technical understanding and data analysis for AML and fraud prevention.
    • Enhance technical capabilities within the Compliance department.
    • In your first 90 days at Mama Money you will:
    • Understand our business, our corridors, our transaction patterns, our existing rules and framework, and our regulatory obligations.
    • Do your first risk assessment of our business from a compliance perspective, identify gaps and propose mitigation strategies.
    • Propose AML system improvements and champion their implementation.
    • Get to know the compliance team, the senior management team, and the overall people in our organisation.

    About you:

    • You have at least 8-10 years of Financial Crime & Compliance management role.
    • You are familiar with industry practices and professional standards and have knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. AML, KYC, Fraud).
    • Strong technical understanding and experience in AML and fraud prevention.
    • You have experience setting up, managing, and developing a team of AML / Customer Screening / Fraud investigators, specifically focusing on their ability to grow their skillset and liaise with the rest of the organisation.
    • You have actively managed the set up and maintenance of transaction monitoring rules set, specifically with regard to rules that identify money laundering and fraud patterns
    • Proficiency in data analysis and trend identification.
    • You have experience in the successful implementation of robust compliance & Fraud frameworks and processes - both in AML/KYC and Consumer Fraud.
    • You have experience managing and improving the usage of customer screening and automated transaction monitoring tools.
    • You have designed and implemented risk management programmes
    • You have the ability to provide input in product development with regards to Fraud enhancements and customer protection.
    • You have experience dealing with payment partners and third-party agents especially in terms of DD, EDD and risk management.
    • Strategic thinking and the ability to design and implement effective anti-fraud measures.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Proven experience in managing compliance, AML, and fraud prevention teams
    • Compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Effectiveness of AML and fraud prevention measures.
    • Timely identification and mitigation of fraudulent activities.

    Area Manager (External)

    As our Area Manager, you will:

    • Ensure that the Super Agents' outreach budgets are requested timeously and to the required process 
    • Distribute Marketing Material wherever it is needed within the region/ province
    • Communicate all relevant updates to product, process and structure with all the prospective Agents in the region/province and 
    • Ensure seamless recruitment and onboarding of all new agents. Manage the offboarding of agents. 
    • Focus on the onboarding of unique customers from target corridors to drive specific regional targets. 
    • Doing door-to-door campaigns in all the farms,customer hot-spot areas and cities around the region/province.
    • Drive around the region/province supporting agent Growth Point check ins and executions and agent outreach 
    • Growth Point champion - Recruitment, set up and permissions, relationship building with partners and day to day management 
    • Assist in performance managing all agents and super agents in the area responsible for
    • Lead the activation set up, execution and performance at community and other events
    • Assist and manage agent and product queries 
    • Promote loyalty and morale within the agent team
    • Ensure that the Mama Money culture and values are instilled and upheld by all the Super and Field Agents in the region/province. As the Provincial Agent Supervisor, you will need to lead by example as you are the ultimate  Brand Ambassador for the organisation in the region/province.
    • Assist in training new recruits and training existing agents on product updates and enhancements.
