    Facilities Supervisor - Toppieshoek

    Critical Performance Areas 

    • Assess the facilities and write a technical background report. 
    • Structure a maintenance plan and service terms of facilities. 
    • Identify necessary equipment for rental. 
    • Asses the environment’s compliance with Dept. of Labour, Safety and Health Laws etc. 
    • Controls the movement of assets and the storeroom. 
    • Manages the Toppieshoek Terrain infrastructure (fences, roads, drainage) through contractors. 
    • Develop a plan for improving the facilities and equipment. 
    • Develop a budget plan for maintenance and upkeep. 
    • Reconcile expenditure against budget and acquired resources. 
    • Prepare monthly financial reports. 
    • Supervise the work to be done and the work done. 
    • Facilitate training for general service workers. 
    • Assessment of performance by contract workers. 
    • Liaises with Municipality to ascertain Municipality by Laws. 
    • Liaises with technical Services Directorate of TUT to ascertain requirements as set in the University Policy.

    Lecturer: Business and Information Management Services

    Critical Performance Areas 

    • Presenting and conducting lectures at undergraduate and postgraduate levels 
    • Assessing students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; 
    • Setting and marking of all assessments. 
    • Teaching and learning with Technology, including administration of study materials and assessment processes

    • 3 years relevant teaching experience and /or 3 years experience in industry. 
    • 3 years of relevant lecturing/research experience in the fields of Office Management & Technology and Information Management 
    • Proficiency in MS Office and other computer programs. 
    • Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite. 
    • Completion of a TUT License to Teach programme will be compulsory.

    Director: Employee Relations

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • NQF 9 
    • A Relevant Master's degree in Labour Relations/ Industrial Relations/ Law (LLM)
    • Registered with a registered body Legal Practice Council (LPC) 

    Experience

    • 5 years relevant experience at Management Level in Labour Relations Environment
    • Sound Knowledge of Employment and Labour Laws in collective Bargaining matters and conflict resolution, facilitate internal dispute resolution measures and alignment of HR Policies to labour legislation measures 

    Critical Performance Areas 

    • Promote sound Labour Relations within the University; Keep abreast of latest labour legislation developments and provide relevant advisory services to employees and management; Ensure the reduction of labour disputes; Accurate interpretation of TUT policies Governing conditions of employment. Manage and represent TUT at CCMA (conciliation/arbitration) and facilitating Labour Court cases; Administration of total case management within Employee Relations; Ensure proper and correct management/prevention of IR disputes, disciplinary and grievance cases; Plan and participate in annual salary negotiations as part of bargaining team; Monitor and implement collective agreements; Ensure University’s compliance with all relevant Labour legislation; Represents Management in Labour relations, including interpretation, and administration of collective agreements; Lead and/or provide support and assistance to the Chief negotiator during negotiations and other relevant meetings; Labour Relations Training.

    • Five (5) years of lecturing experience in business and strategic management at a tertiary institution and/or five years of relevant industry-related experience will be required. 
    • A proven track record in publications of articles in accredited journals and conference attendance. 
    • A proven track record of supervising Masters and Doctoral students to completion. 

     Professional Registration: 

    • Registration with a professional body is highly desirable.

    Part-Time: Football Facilities Caretaker

    Key performance areas: 

    • Safety and security: Ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and occupants, including running safety inspections and testing fire alarms and electrical systems
