    Sales Representative II

    Job description

    Summary Of Position

    The CRHF sales consultant is responsible to promote and support products within the Medtronic CRHF portfolio. This requires a thorough understanding of the clinical environment, the different therapies within cardiology and the devices that support these therapies.

    Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Technical assistance to Cardiologists / Cardiac surgeons in theatre with pacemaker/ICD implant support
    • Technical assistance to Cargiologists during pacemaker follow up clinics
    • Developing the different therapies within the CRHF business and driving sales
    • Identifying customer training needs and developing appropriatte training programs in collaboration with the Academia team
    • Supporting the Academia team during training courses
    • Seminar/conference attendance
    • Inventory management
    • Expense management
    • SalesForce management
    • Providing out of territory support to colleagues within the inland pacing team
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Safety, Health & Environmental, and Quality Assurance

    Job Qualifications

    • Minimum required: Qualified Clinical Technologist specializing in Cardiology or similar
    • Added advantage: IBHRE accredited (International board of heart rhythm examiners)

    Job Experience

    The individual must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Clinical Technolgist or as a Sales representative in the cardiac device industry.

    Job description

    Main Purpose of Job

    To co-ordinate and manage the achievement of the Spine & Biologics Revenue Goals for Medtronic South Africa, through the direction, motivation and leadership of the Regional Sales Managers & Sales Force.
    To gain and maintain market share in the Spine & Biologics business by promoting, selling and creating awareness and acceptance of Spine & Biologics products within South Africa.

    Main Tasks/responsibilities

    Sales and Marketing

    • Support the National Sales Manager in the development of an annual Business/Marketing plans for the Spine & Biologics business.
    • Develop and implement an annual Sales plan for each, Representative/Agent.
    • Conclude sales calls both independently and with the Sales Force to promote, sell and service Medtronic products and services to existing and competitive customers.
    • Develop, implement and monitor for each, Representative/Agent a Territory Management System, including a daily, weekly and monthly route plan, a Sales Call Report system and Call Rate objectives.
    • Implement, through the Sales Force, an Account profile/data base for every Hospital/Spine Surgeon.
    • Implement regular Sales meetings, to communicate strategies/provide training and to understand and resolve current issues facing the Sales Force.
    • In co-operation with the National Sales Manager/Marketing Manager, determine strategies for both existing products and new opportunity products through the provision of regular field intelligence reports on competitive activities, changes in markets, distribution and pricing, as well as input on customer preferences and product features.
    • Ensure 24-hour National coverage at all times (including Public holidays, weekends and evenings.)
    • On an ongoing basis, identify appropriate new high-potential candidates for the Spine & Biologics Sales Force, and recruit and train new Representatives/Agents people as needed.
    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve short and long term business targets and objectives in conjunction with the Marketing manager

    Job Qualifications

    • 3 – 5 years management experience
    • Degree or diploma, an Allied Professional background would be of value.
    • Good Technical Skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Advanced computer literacy.
    • Willing to travel.
    • Orthopedic Trauma or Spine experience
    • Knowledge of the theatre environment

    LANGUAGES

    Fluent in English
