    • The purpose of this module is to provide students with advanced knowledge and skills in high-level architectural design of software.

    Key Performance Areas :

    • The primary purpose of this position is the development and delivery of effective teaching on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning. This includes responsibility for modules from conceptualisation through to assessment and responsibility for an integrated, effective curriculum within qualifications.     Faculty Coordinator - Operations (X3)

    Overall Job Purpose: 

    • Coordinate faculty related campus staff, thereby ensuring the effective delivery and ongoing improvement of support services to the faculty. To assist the Faculty Manager in the day-to-day operations and management of all matters relating to Faculty administration. To liaise between the Faculty, campus and Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE).

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Campus Faculty relationships

    • Share with campuses all relevant updates on policies, procedures, changes and plans of the Institution.
    • Reviews with the Faculty Manager, the academic operational requirements of the relevant campuses annually and defines a rollout plan.
    • Provides support and guidance to the campus faculty to resolve operational issues that may arise.

    Academic Faculty Operations

    • Provides detailed academic operational guidance documentation to support the provision of a high-quality academic student experience.
    • Alongside the Faculty Manager, support the operational elements of the academic school between ACE (Academic Centre of Excellence), Dean/Deputy Dean and campus teams and vice versa.
    • Institution ‘support the Faculty Manager on the delivery of the institutions academic material including the Learning Management System and monitoring of go live of online material to the campus teams.
    • Collaborates as part of the National office Academic Operations team to review all academic operational requirements and to establish an overall annual academic operational plan.

    Assistant Information Specialist

    Duties and Responsibilities
    User Education

    • Continuously trains students on how to use Information Centre databases to enable them to research and access information required e.g. Ebscohost, Juta Law, Emerald, Sabinet etc.
    • Facilitates bi-annual and walk-in presentations as joint presenters on Student Information Literacy Sessions and Lecturer information briefings.

    Information Specialist Support

    Information Centre Administration

    Information Centre Resources Marketing

    • Designs interactive posters to market Information Centre resources on campus.

    • Promotes Information Centre resources on various platforms using creative digital tools.
    • Markets teaching and learning resources to lecturers.
    • Presents information about teaching and learning resources and information services during information sessions.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Service Desk Agent - SIMS

    Overall Purpose of the Job:

    • Provides a contact point for the timely and effective response to IT/System user queries and problems through the receipt and logging of problems and the co-ordination of rapid and appropriate responses for basic problem resolution for new and existing systems. May manage incidents to completion
    • Ensures that optimum relations with clients are established and maintained. Ensures that agreed standards in respect of length of call, wrap-up time, log-on time and completion of correct code system and database are maintained.
    • In a sales-oriented centre, maximises cross selling opportunities and ensures that targets are attained.
    • In a Service Centre / Help Desk function provides first-line support for user enquiries on problems relating to hardware and software products installed, responds timeously and effectively to IT user queries and problems through logging of problems reported and the co-ordination of rapid and appropriate responses.
    • This includes: basic training for the user, assisting the user to resume normal operation, channeling requests for help to appropriate functions; monitoring progress, and keeping users appraised.     Teacher Pre-Primary

    Duties
    Foundation phase educators will create a learning experience to stimulate and grow individual talents and equip children with the requisite basic education skills in the areas of reading, literacy and numeracy amongst others. They will need  :-

    • to deliver future focused education in which students are motivated, inspired and challenged;
    • to demonstrate strength of character, integrity and professionalism, at all times
    • to develop and maintain constructive and ongoing partnerships with colleagues, parents, guardians and members of the community
    • to communicate and collaborate with all members of the learning community in a positive, respectful and open-minded way

     They will be accountable for the following specific areas of performance :-

    • Academic Delivery
    • Academic Assessment & Reporting
    • Student Behaviour Management
    • School Brand Ambassadorship
    • Administration
    • Health & Safety

    Qualifications & Experience

    • an undergraduate degree (NQF level 6) in ECD or B. Education (Foundation Phase)
    • A PGCE would be necessary if the degree is deemed suitable viz Psychology
    • SACE certification and a police clearance are requirements
