    Sales Executive - Cape Town

    What you’ll be doing:

    • Manage a volume of call (these could be inbound or outbound) from a range of leads to potential customers
    • Build rapport, upsell, and close deals by effectively communicating the value of AnyVan's service
    • Meet and exceed monthly targets for call volume, conversion rates, and revenue generation
    • Collaborate with your manager to optimise sales strategies
    • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences, market trends, and potential areas for improvement.
    • Efficiently monitor and track your activity on a daily basis to ensure you're on going to hit and exceed monthly targets.  

    Skills and experience you'll need to be successful in the role

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years of sales experience, with B2B or B2C experience (Exposure to International customers in particular UK/Ireland/Europe is advantageous)
    • Proven track record of success in meeting sales targets
    • CRM Experience (HubSpot Preferable)
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Understanding of the difference between value and features
    • Ability to work flexible shift patterns. Our UK opening hours are:
    • Monday-Friday 8am-8pm
    • Saturday-Sunday 8am-6pm
    • Please note this role is based on site at our offices in the Central Business District in Cape Town.

    Lead Product Manager - Cape Town

    What you'll be doing:

    • Create and maintain a product strategy which aligns with our business goals
    • Create and own the road-map, timing and delivery
    • Develop a deep understanding of business needs and create effective solutions
    • Use your strong leadership, organisational and execution skills to establish a shared vision between product, engineering and key stakeholders
    • Define and measure metrics and highlight the impact of changes to ensure that business benefits have been achievedInspire and motivate a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives
    • Simplify complexity and identify high impact opportunities
    • Generate insights from data, research and analysis to inform product strategy
    • To be able to analyse data for impact to create cases for business opportunities.

    Skills and experience we think will help you be successful in the role:

    • Solid experience in a product management role managing the full product lifecycle preferably in a scale-up technology business
    • Highly commercial in approach and outlook
    • Be comfortable with complex data sets and uncertainiy in the data to identify gaps and key messages to drive investment
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver continuously improving products through a test, learn and iterate approach
    • Experience working on data/engines that focus on pricing solutions 
    • A strategic thinker and comfortable using data and explaining strategy clearly and concisely, written or verbally
    • Collaborative and influential, you can gain buy in from, and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders across technology and business operations
    • Excellent communication skills – you are articulate and can explain complex subjects in simple terms
    • Able to effectively integrate customer research and feedback to help drive requirements, prioritisation, execution and operation
    • Thrive on change and ambiguity and constantly able to take on new challenges  
    • An understanding of technical architecture and infrastructure would be advantageous

    Engineering Manager - Cape Town

    What you'll be doing:

    • Collaborate closely with a Product to enable your team to specify, prioritise and deliver high quality solutions which solve important business problems
    • Champion the team to senior leadership, highlighting organisational blockers and aligning everyone around the team’s priorities, as well as flagging where the team needs additional input or support
    • Ensure the technical direction of the team matches the business strategy, balancing technical debt and non-functional requirements with a need to execute quickly and iteratively
    • Build an effective team - ensuring you have the right people in place, taking responsibility for the growth and personal development of team members while giving necessary feedback
    • Help energise and invigorate AnyVan and your team’s technical culture, both through day to day interactions, as well as working with the Head of Engineering and CTO on our technical strategy.

    Skills and experience you'll need to be successful in the role:

    • Strong expertise and success in directly managing high performing technical teams
    • Experience working in a fast paced consumer focused business
    • Experience working in a scale up or within a marketplace would be advantageous but not essential
    • Deep experience with cloud technologies (ideally AWS) and exposure to Java with spring, javascript, Vue.Js, Python, PHP would be advantageous
    • Able to build excellent relationships and influence key stakeholders (internally and externally) to consistently deliver against key projects  
    • Genuine passion for the end product and delivering outstanding technical solutions with pragmatic, logical and maintainable code 
    • Familiar with software architecture patterns, database optimisations, infrastructure, scalability and deployment 
    • A broad understanding of the software development lifecycle and practical hands-on experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery & QA
    • Experience working in and driving an Agile development environment
