    Business Change Manager

    Summary

    • As a Business Change Manager, you will play a central role in driving and reinforcing the changes founded in our core applications and business processes. We offer a flexible role with great responsibility and opportunity to make a direct impact on the future successes of DSV Road Logistics.
    • Responsible for designing, planning and implementing logistics solutions, whilst managing stakeholder (internal & external) expectations throughout the solution design and implementation phase.

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • This role directly supports company objectives and contributes to identifying, analyzing & developing value-adding and robust solutions for current & prospective customers.
    • The Role directly supports the company objectives of effective change management across multiple streams, projects and Business Objectives.
    • Ensuring Strategic Business Objectives and Projects are Scoped, analyzed, Implemented, Sustained and Measured
    • Effectively managing Change in various Business Segments (Departments). Guiding the Organization through the S-Curve
    • It is vital for the success of this position to effectively align internal and external customer needs, processes and solutions, with DSV values, policies and the DSV Road Logistics Strategy.
    • The role directly supports the SIGMA goals and Strategy for DSV Road Logistics, identifying, analyzing, and implementing CIP initiatives for Road Logistics.
    • Successful collaboration with Business Operations, Global IT , EXCO and Top Management is critical
    • Be the overall business-owner directly responsible for one or more specific DSV Road applications and their surrounding business processes. In essence, ensure that we build the best possible End2End DSV Road Logistics business processes and have our business applications supporting these processes fully
    • Be the overall responsible for DSV Road Logistics business requirements and the delivery within deadlines (in cooperation with our DSV Global IT colleagues) Eg. Ensure business requirements capturing, descriptions, timeboxing and clear prioritizations
    • Secure that your application(s) roadmap(s) and documentations are always updated and stringently aligned with / prioritized according to the overall DSV and BCM Road Logistics deliverables E.g. process descriptions, workarounds, SOPs, testcases etc.
    • Gatekeeper and support the ongoing implementations of standard processes and applications into the DSV Road Logistics business
    • Define and maintain core application KPI’s and ensure ROI measurement
    • Engineered Solutions: Identify, analyse & develop value-adding, optimized solutions and processes for current internal & external prospective clients;
    • OPS Support: Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities in collaboration with Operations and Management. Develop robust solutions to implement and sustain cost saving initiatives throughout the business.
    • Root Cause Analysis: Ability to identify and articulate the true cause of challenges in terms of people, process & technology.

    Analysis and recommendations:

    • Data (analysis, comparison, sense checking),
    • Processes (supporting business objectives, optimized, complete, accurate, relevant, error proofed, common exceptions covered, measurable),
    • Facilities (best practices, flow, flexibility, compliance);
    • Business cases / feasibility studies: Develop as required depending on financial investment required and risk profile. Tools and aspects to consider include ROI calculations, quantified value, opportunity for productivity improvements and future growth / revenue potential
    • Continuous Improvement Management: Manage and Report on Cost Saving and Sigma Initiatives
    • Change Management: Manage the Change in the Organization. Taking the Business through the S-Curve Effectively.
    • Tools: Ensure that our tools are supporting the business processes.
    • Business Analysis: Collaborate with subject matter experts to Understand, Define and Scope Business Requirements and Translate this into IT Specific communications. Developing of SOP’s, Specifications, Scope & Business Cases.

    Standardisation: Ensure that we standardise the Road Logistics business to the extent possible and ensure adherence to governance model for review and approval of exceptions. As gatekeeper and owner of Road Logistics standards responsible for:

    • Ensuring that the AS IS situation is well understood
    • Defining suggested new standard
    • Aligning the suggested standard with product owners, Global IT, business & management
    • Ensuring Process and System Support for the new standard
    • Document the new agreed standard and how to roll it out
    • Championing the role out of the new standard with support of business super users and operational responsible
    • Tracking and reporting of KPIs
    • Ensuring adherence to standards
    • Protector of Business and Program Principles: Ensure adherence to agreed business and program principles. Active advocate and gatekeeper of agreed principles.
    • Prioritisation of system enhancement/requests: Participate in the IT request prioritisation forums.
    • System Business Readiness Testing and Coordination: Facilitate & Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide UAT sign-off in due time on system and system changes on behalf of business. Ensure that user acceptance test cases, workarounds and standard operating procedures are maintained and up to date.
    • Release Notes: Ensure that release notes are understandable and clearly articulate the business value associated with a release.
    • Train the Trainer: Assist with creation of training documentation and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures. Responsible to train the trainers & super users.
    • System Super User Support: Point of escalation for super users to assist with classification of potential issues as system or process related. Primary liaison with Global IT.
    • Master data: Ensure that master data is governed, maintained, and kept up to date.
    • SIGMA: Identify and Implement SIGMA Initiatives
    • Group Facilitation: Leading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem solving activities as required, including Advance Quality Planning (AQP) sessions;

    Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
    • B-Eng Degree in Industrial Engineering
    • Alternatively degree in Logistics/Supply Chain

    Senior Project Manager

    Summary

    This role is responsible for delivering assigned projects on time, on budget and within the agreed scope and quality levels within the DSV governance framework. To do this, the role has to interface with all project stakeholders. The PM works closely with internal/external clients to consult on client requirements, expectation management, risk and issue management, change management.

    • This role directly supports company objectives and contributes to identifying, analyzing & developing value-adding and robust solutions for current & prospective customers.
    • It is vital for the success of this position for the candidate to effectively align customer needs and solutions, with DSV values, policies and strategy to directly support sustainable and profitable business.
    • Successful collaboration with Global IT, Operations teams, contractors, & other internal and external stakeholders is critical

    Essential Duties And Responsibilities

    • Manage Project Execution: Manage Projects to complete on time and on budget. Coordinates completion and transition between phases, tasks and teams;
    • Assembling and Leading Project Team: assigning tasks and deadlines, utilizing tools to collaborate. Schedule and facilitation of regular meetings to obtain status updates and chart progress, reallocate resources to balance workloads and to evaluate competencies and capabilities of team members. Organizing and motivating team members; Group facilitations (such workshops and Advanced Quality Planning).
    • Time Management: define, schedule and accurately estimate the task duration to develop and maintain a realistic schedule;
    • Cost estimating and developing the budget: Develop the budget for proper funding, and maintain actual spend versus approved budget;
    • Quality and Satisfaction: Deliver satisfying results to stakeholders, keep constant communication;
    • Change Management: Ensure Change management is integrated into project management by planning change management at the same time as project planning and delivering change management according to schedule;
    • Risks and Issues Management: Apply sound risk management principles to all aspects of projects & engineering activities to ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best interests of DSV business, clients and staff. Objective of this is also to reduce the time and cost of project execution. Management of Issues through the proper DSV Project governance and escalation protocols.
    • Monitoring Progress: Monitor and analyze both expenditures and team performance and to always efficiently take corrective measures;
    • Escalation Management: Timely escalations of project issues/challenges to executive sponsor.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Reporting on projects according to the defined structures and project management method
    • Stakeholder Management: To develop and maintain sound stakeholder (incl. clients) relationships based on competence, respect and trust
    • Contractual: Support contract development and/or negotiation with clients and suppliers;
    • Procurement Management: Support supplier selection and management aligned with sound ethical business practice and DSV Policy;
    • Project Steering Committee Meetings: Prepare for and facilitate project steering committee meetings.
    • Project Framework and Governance: Ensure use of disciplined, officially sanctioned DSV project management processes.
    • Travel: Reasonable local and international travel requirement to use knowledge, skills and experience in support of relevant DSV business objectives.

    • Logistics Operational Management experience: > 1 years with demonstrated knowledge of best practices;
    • Leadership experience in Project or Operations role: > 5 years with effective staff performance management & development;
    • Facilitation skills: > 5 years effective experience in leading & influencing a diverse group through planning and/or problem solving activities for effective outcomes;
    • Financial: > 3 years effective experience in developing budgets & managing actual versus budget, including CAPEX, OPEX and P&L’s;
    • Contractual: > 3 years’ experience in directly supporting contract and service level development and negotiations with clients and vendors
    • Road Logistics Best Practice: w.r.t. operational processes
    • Unendorsed license & own transport;
