    Cleaner Supervisor Level 4

    Requirements :

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in cleaning services environment. Supervisory skills will be an added advantage. Applicants must be Computer literate.

    Ward Assistant (Contract Until 31 March 2027)

    Requirements :

    • NQF level 1 or 2 (Abet level 4 certificate or equivalent). No experience required. Knowledge of Batho-Pele Principles. Provide excellent level of customer care to both internal and external customers.

    • Label and tie dirty linen bags and place at relevant area, keep the sluice room equipment clean. Tie and move filled red plastics /Medical waste & sharps containers to the dedicated collection area in the ward, replace red plastics. Take orders to stores, pharmacy and fetch emergency stock and TTO’s. Adhere to Health waste Management Policy. Be able to rotate between the wards when required.

    Assistant Director – Risk Management

    Requirements :

    • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification: e.g. National Diploma or a B-tech/ Degree in Risk Management / Internal Audit /Financial Management.     • Conduct risk assessment to identify, describe analyses the enterprise within the Hospital. Coordinate and facilitate the development of risk profile and risk management plans, monitor the implementation thereof and produce reports. Develop process to facilitate the implementation of an institutional wide risk management policy and strategy.
    • Annually draft risk management implementation plans/ Fraud Prevention Plans for approval by the Executive. Plan and conduct strategic and operational risk assessments.
    • Oversee development of risk registers and monitor regular updating thereof. Facilitate the functions of risk management across functional business units. Cost centers and ensure effective risk reporting. Assist in the development and rolling out of risk management /Fraud and corruption awareness programme throughout the institution.     Requirements :

    • MBChB degree Registered as an Independent Medical Practitioner with HPCSA. The post is a combined training position between Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital and the University of Pretoria.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to work in General Surgery for five (5) years and will have to perform after hour calls. Preference will be given to South African citizens and candidates who already completed part one (1) of the FCS examination.

    Mammographer

    Requirements :

    • The suitable candidate must hold an appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Diagnostic Radiographer and must provide proof of independent practice registration. They must also be certified and registered with the HPCSA as a Mammographer, with evidence of valid and up-to-date registration.

    • A thorough understanding of the HPCSA Radiographers’ Scope of Practice and SAHPRA regulatory requirements is essential, along with familiarity with key legislation, policies, and guidelines such as the Hazardous Substances Act 15 of 1973, the National Health Act 61 of 2003, the Health Professions Act 56 of 1974, the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 1999, and applicable Supply Chain Management processes and prescripts.     Duties :

    • The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and supervising the Mammography Unit, reporting directly to the Assistant Director: Radiography.
    • They will perform mammographic and general diagnostic radiography examinations, ensure the production of high-quality diagnostic images, and assist with specialized or invasive procedures in accordance with approved clinical protocols and departmental standards across all assigned shifts. Key duties also include teaching and mentoring radiographers and students, retrieving and organizing laboratory results, and compiling, analyzing, and presenting relevant statistics to support clinical and managerial decision-making. This role requires strong leadership and operational oversight of diagnostic radiography personnel to ensure smooth workflow, reduced patient waiting times, and optimal service delivery.
    • The incumbent will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders through active communication, participation in meetings, and comprehensive reporting to drive continuous improvement of services. The candidate will manage radiographic equipment in alignment with the Ideal Hospital Realization and Maintenance Framework, SAHPRA and OHSC standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
    • This includes overseeing equipment maintenance, statutory compliance, and effective management of contracts and Service Level Agreements. They will also contribute to the implementation of the Ideal Hospital/Clinic Realization Framework and support 24-hour radiography service delivery aligned with the Department of Health’s mission and vision, while enforcing PFMA-compliant cost-containment measures to promote financial efficiency.
    • Additional responsibilities include monitoring and reporting Patient Safety Incidents, conducting root-cause analyses, and developing and monitoring Quality Improvement Plans.
